Its an all day event to fully experience and explore the premises. Theres so much to do, see, avd experience. Perfect for everyone and free after 3 for Susanna Bixby Bryant Museum and Botanic Garden residents.
Worked for Pacific Bell, back in the 60’s I serviced the area. Worked on the eight party line for the ranch hands, and Ernie Bryant had two private lines. One for his personal use, and the other for the ranch.Remember the “Driveway” had Pomegranate bushes on both sides. They were picked for Mission Pack, at Christmas. He said they paired the taxes. Also, still had remnants of the “botanical gardens” that were once open to the public. Plant and Markers were in place, but nobody cared for the plants, and trees. All overgrown in those days.....lots of memories, and lots of hard work.
A great place to go for a Sunday afternoon. Very friendly people and interesting info on the history of the area. I might be a bit biased, my Dad was raised in that house and was.a part of the restore! Lol
Great place to take friends and family to learn the early times of a ranch in Yorba Linda. Patty, one of the volunteers was so great telling info on the ranch and answering our questions. A must see!
Its small but we need to keep this place open, so come visit.
Loved learning about the Yorba Linda history before the explosion of housing tracks.
