INCREDIBLY NICE THEATER!Wow - Beautifully conceived and executed local movie theater in the heart of a revitalized downtown. The IMAX is a gem and parking is easy.Tip of the hat to YL city planning and developers for the revamp of the downtown area. This is one of the most awesome theaters I have been to. The food court/clerk was friendly and provided good service! Will definitely go back there to watch a movie again!
........ Several days ago I drove miles from where I Live to visit this new theatre. It was very nice, and the employees as well as the managers were incredibly nice and super helpful! The bathroom was ultra-clean, and I did notice that the sound systems in BOTH theatres that I saw Infidel and Tenent, were quite superb. Im saddened to see that the theatre has closed again. I feel so bad for the employees because EVERY SINGLE worker I spoke to were so friendly and fantastic. Thank you Regal Yorba Linda!!!!! Stefan
Was not impressed with the seats, service or bathrooms. Had David the manager blast past me while Im 6months pregnant through a door with no acknowledgement or care as of he had more important things to do but all he did was run to stand in a spot and do nothing. Bathrooms are basic and hand dryers are on the counters which make for a wet mess everywhere, leather seats were small and did not recline easy, screen was kinda small, godzilla 3d was not working and no one knew when it would be back up. Managers in gray suits were not friendly just on phones standing around in the way with no acknowledgement of customers. Construction was still going on so parking lot was completely blocked on one side.
My son and I went to watch Tenet on their IMAX screen at 12:30 PM on Tues 9/15/2020. It was our first movie in theaters since March, and the experience was awful. First off, the previews didnt start until 12:50, after we told an employee that the movie had not started on time. The screen and auditorium barely looked larger than a normal one, and when the film started, the bottom third of the IMAX screen was black. It was like watching on a regular screen but paying for IMAX. Then, 30 min into the film, the lights came on and the picture disappeared, but the audio continued. When the entire theater emptied and became irate with employees, their solution was to avoid us, call the police on us, lie to us about why the police were there in the first place, and then the movie was rewound and started playing again without the employees saying anything to any of us. We had to quickly shuffle back into the theater after another audience member checked inside and told us it was playing again. The movie itself was great, but I will never return to this theater again. Shame on you for calling the police. In this day and age, to call police (especially LA sheriffs deputies) that are known for murdering innocent people just because a few customers were upset and raised their voices over your deplorable service is absolutely despicable.
Nice theater. Great layout and only $10 to see todays movie Infidel. Great movie and must see.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING.It was my first time coming here and as soon as I walked in, I was actually blown away by the looks of the place. Getting snacks for the movie was pretty quick. The seats were pretty comfy as well. I will definitely be coming back
Terribly uncomfortable seats. Had two interactions with the workers which both seemed to have no clue what they were doing. COVID spacing was done well, however, not much enforcement for people who didn’t have masks on - not one worker checked the theater once it started and saw 2 people without masks walk into the theater.
Only because I was searching for imax and this theater was suggested, that I found out about it and Im a paying member. Its a Regal branded location, not Edwards. This is a very nice theater with free parking in the structure next door. Great food options and nice stadium style seating. Staff is friendly as well. Highly recommended.

Its new. That should about sum it up, but Ill continue. Always great to have clean chairs, new bathrooms, and sound was pretty good. Seating can be reserved in advance like the other theaters so we felt less rushed. Lobby seems small and it was already not busy when we went. Overall its your standard movie theater.
Nice new theater. I ordered coffee, but they had no cream or milk. Popcorn was also not very buttery. Movie and sound was great though
Went to an IMAX show. Sound incredible and image phenomenal. Would have given it 5 stars if the seats were actual recliners. Instead they were chairs that leaned back, but had no leg support. Clean theater and easy to reserve seats.
They shouldn’t have built this. There are already more than enough screens in the area with the far superior Cinema City only 2 miles away. I’d give this 3 years, tops.

Nice theater but be warned. Inside the have blocking on all phone and internet even their service. My wife was urgently trying to reach me inside and couldnt. This is stupid and dangerous. Be aware. You have to go entirely outside to connect and get calls.

Theatre is beautiful and well taken care of. Location is great for me and I love that it is near so many restaurants. The reclining seats are great and only $1 more than the regular showings. The only thing that bothered me was the Regal policy (not just this location, I know it isnt their choice) to check the emergency exit doors every 30 minutes. Especially in a scary movie, it takes you out of it to have someone come walk in front in to check the door 3 or 4 times. That doesnt deserve a star deduction though. Overall for the price, movie selection, staff and availability of seats it is 5 stars
The seats are great because they don’t fold upwhen my kids move around and they were big and we all had a good time! We walked across the street to eat at Cafe Rio after the movies- highly recommended !
The Theatre Itself is New and Clean but the Seats are UNCOMFORTABLE. They only Recline Manually about 1/3 of the way Back which is the Most Uncomfortable Angle to sit in besides Being Upright. Dont think I will be coming back here. No Point Paying to watch a Movie if youre constantly Struggling in Your Seat.
As some other reviewers have mentioned, not every theater has recliner seating which is kind of disappointing considering it is supposed to be a brand new theater. I was really excited for this theater and thought it would be a major competitor against AMC but Regal still falls short. But, it does have a nice atmosphere and there’s a bar, so there’s that.

Beautiful new theater! Really nice employees. The theaters are small enough to feel cozy. The seats are comfortable, like home! And, they have a full bar!

Nice lobby friendly employees but why didn’t they put in full chaise lounge chairs? Regal theaters in Brea East have the best chairs, as they recline all the way. Why would they spend all this money on a new theater and not put in the best seats???

5 stars for Test Run Opening. Brautiful facility. As with all first openings - there were bugs to work out of the systems. Another review to come in a week or so. Then it will be regular pricing AND all bugs should be fixed.
This is an awesome theater for YL, not very busy but thats not necessarily a bad thing. Full bar available with really reasonably priced drinks.
The plave is really nice. The seats a comfy. The alcohol was a bit pricey.
Even though it was in front of the screen, I still got a great view and had an excellent time reclining back and enjoying Frozen 2 on the big screen with yummy snacks!! Also, the tix were at a reasonable price and so were the snacks!!

The very first thing thats disappointing at this brand-new theater is not every screen has recliner seats. the hype about an upscale theater coming to Yorba Linda making me believe that we are going to have a high-end theater only to find out that only part of the theater has recliner seats.the menu of food being served makes me feel like Im at a little league game instead of a place that would like to serve food with alcohol. I was in auditorium one, and the big problem with this auditorium are the exit signs, they are so bright that they literally interfere with your peripheral vision while youre trying to watch a movie. multiple times in dark scenes I had to put my hands up near my eyes to block out the bright light coming from the exit signs. it is very possible I will try another show with the recliner seats just to be able to experience that room. If it is just as disappointing as the one I had tonight I will stay away.
Much needed entertainment option in YL! Our town finally got trendy and is ready to shed its archaic image . The IMAX theater makes a great addition and also makes a statement abt the city transforming itself!
Terrible Popcorn, the Butter Topping is NOT self serve, staff applies the butter topping, not to mention the popcorn is very expensive. Conceesion Staff is quite rude. The Seats are very uncomfortable. Poor experience at best. I Will Continue to go to Cinema City.

It’s shame when you have to give one star to brand new facility. All start from the poor management. I suggest to David, current manager, to do better job to take care of his clients .
Super clean and comfy seats if you reserved the recliner seating showtimes. Seems to have less kids here compared to the Regal in Brea.
The theater is ok. The management needs a little more training and so does the staff. We arrived around 6 pm and there were no hot dogs available. A young staffer agreed to bring 3 hot dogs to us and they arrived at about 6:40 pm. This was the 3rd time in 3 weeks we could not get hot dogs in a timely manner. This has only happened at Anaheim or Brea Reagel maybe twice in the prior year.
Positives:The app was easy to use and loved the fact that at this location one can reserve seating. The staff were friendly and the theater was very clean. The cleaning team were very thorough in wiping down the leather comfortable reclining seats and cleaning up previous movie watchers debris. The bathrooms were phenomenally clean too.Cons:There is no butter station available to add to the popcorn. Staff are the ones with access to the butter behind the counter which was inconvenient. The counters were pretty clean, but people had left trash out and a suggestion would be to have a staff member should be frequently walking around cleaning down the public counter areas. Inside the theater the seats are not loveseats unfortunately. It would be nicer to have that perk to allow more space. Last observation was about safety. Bags were not checked and people were not patted down for weapons or suspicious items carried into the theater. No security guards were seen at all in the area as well. This made our group feel a little uneasy.
Came for the soft opening. Couldnt view the showtimes on their app as advertised on their mailer. Attendants werent too knowledgeable about the movies they were screening for the soft opening. It has a full bar and nice clean restrooms. They are still doing some construction cant wait to see the finishing touches. Walked past all the managers standing around. Not greated once. Finally walking out another manager named David wearing a grey suit walked in and out blocking the doorway and let in close right in front of my pregnant wifes face. Great start to your soft opening guys was so excited for this place to open too. So much for a good first impression.
Finally, North Orange County got IMAX theater. All new shopping center with good eats.
Personally I think the theatre is good for what it is. The seats aren’t recliners but still are nice seats. The only disappointing part was the size of the “Imax theatre”. It is quite literally the same size as a normal theatre

Great new addition to the Yorba Linda area. Comfortable seating in the IMAX theater, pricy $$$ because they can. Co-gender restrooms were discusting....pee all over seat and floors need continual cleaning.Overall atmosphere good, management needs to pay attention to the details, lines for food, need couple more tables, maybe long window booth not much seating or place to sit your drink or food waiting fo movies to open.
Clean, the IMAX screen is smaller than Im used to. Im from the Bay Area, our screen at Regal Hacienda in Dublin seems almost twice the size of this IMax, but I do not have any complaints and I look forward to many more movies here...

First time at this theater and i was expecting a great experience and left very dissapointed. The seating is HORRIBLE. The screen is literally like 3 feet away from the first row seats. I tries to change my seats to the handi cap seats but they wouldnt let me even though thise seats were available. I bet if i wouldve stayed and watched the movie from the front row, i wouldve walked out of there a handicap. I was told i could switch my seats to a later show, so i took the offer. But then i was told id have to pay $15 more. So then i just askes for a refund of my movie tickets and of my popcorn. And the supervisor was ok with letting us walk out instesd if accomodating us. Not my expectations especially from a theater in the city of yorba linda

They take ticket at food counter.The clerk was very slow...hot dog gave my friend a about of diaheria and service very very slow.evidently just starting theater so service was sub par at best help needs more training and Ive never bought ticket for show at the food counter ever..clean bathrooms.chairs in theatre not the best hard and reclined but the came back to sitting straight upright.venue needs more posh not set up to open yet.help needs more training. Show was excellent.
