Very informative and a pleasant place
Part of Lansings great rich and cool history that seems to be losing it battle each year, This family has a lot of roots in Lansing and the grandson was friends with Ernest Hemingway.
Its uneventful, but cool because its historical? I like the way it looks and would want something like this in front of my property if I ever had a huge mansion or plantation.
This site is a state registered marker #229. There is nothing fancy about it. However, if you enjoy history and appreciate learning about the early Rancho / Golden days of the Yorba family in California dating back to the late 1700s, then you might find this site worthwhile.Do not expect much. It is simply a marker that sits at the base of the Fairmont hill which faces the tracks. Its a quick stop and then off to your next destination.
