Beautiful course that really wraps around the landscape. Definitely need a cart! Between some holes is very long but the views are great!

My husband and I and another couple went for dinner outside of the clubhouse on Monday evening. We go often as our husbands are members. My husband ordered the nachos and I have to say they were horrible. We’ve had better at a Angel game. Just tortilla chips with jar cheese dribbled all over the chips. Needless to say they sat there untouched. We love the atmosphere and cocktails but I’ll be eating at home before going up for now on. The food really needs a good chef.

Fun course. Not the easiest - lots of hills, rough is not easy to hit out of, and greens are tricky. Overall a good time.

First, pace of play was excellent, never had to wait on any holes or saw group in front or back after first tee. Course was in great shape. Greens firm, fast, and putt true .Did not see any major issues with tee boxes or fairways looked great to me. Really like course layout, sometimes helpful and sometimes punishing you dont hit in the correct part of the Fairway or green Employees are always top class, pleasant, and make you feel welcomed.

Beautiful course in the hills of Yorba Linda. Not a long course, but challenging with undulating Fairways and greens and the need for strategic play. Course in good condition except aerated greens (which we knew about before hand). It gets hot out here with no shade so bring sunscreen and hats! Can get expensive and backed up on weekends.

Grounds are very nice and well maintained. Banquet staff is really friendly and helpful. Banquet rooms are nice, big windows with lovely views. Nice patios and outdoor furniture. Parking is good and very safe.

This is a very pleasant place. I love that’s it’s hidden. We came by to take a quick family photo. Because of the beautiful background, people thought we got a professional photographer. I’m a freelance photographer, so that meant a lot to me!

The condition of around green is not that good.

Well kept fairways and challenging green. Open wide landing zone for most of holes. Pretty nice residential properties surrounding and great Mountain View. Excellent starter staffs, polite, detail and friendly, hole to hole direction signs more clear, I’ll definitely rate it a five star course.

I was here a couple of weeks ago to MC and DJ a wedding, this place is very beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful and paid attention to every detail. The are fit the ceremony was gorgeous and the reception hall was very beautiful.

The memorial event had there could not have gone more flawlessly. Very professional and efficient.

Just an absolutely beautiful golf course. Highly recommend playing this course.

What a let down... For a mid day price of 95$ I expected a much greater level of course quality.This course was supposed to be a private cc quality course accessible to the public.I never expected this place to be on par with Fullerton golf course....Fairways are destroyed...Greens were punched so my review doesn’t cover them.Tee boxes were massacred.

Another great day at Black Gold! Greens and tee boxes were in good condition. Fairways starting to dry under the heat. Good pacing.

If I can give it a one star I would, just had breakfast at this place and wow is it horrible, waited 45 minutes to get our food, after we get our food its the smallest portion I have ever seen in my like, also missing things which are advertised in there menu. Other than a nice view of the course dont waste your time going here for breakfast.

Pay online. Dont get taken for $20 like I did. Courses own website is way cheaper and when you ask the pro shop guy he could care less.Love the souza grass fairways!

Beautiful course and plays fair. Pro shop staff is great and the staff in course are friendly as well. Beverage cart staff are a welcomed sight and have a pretty good selection of beverages, snacks and sandwiches to choose from. Food has always been good, but they seem to run understaffed with the waiters. Sometimes its only the bartender serving drinks and food inside and on the patio. This area could use some improvement.

This is a beautiful Golf Course set up into the Hills right near Chino Hills State Park. It is a pretty tough track with not alot of adjacent Fairways to hit into and a lot of trouble when you hit out into the coastal Chaparral hazards. Courses in great shape. A round of golf is going to cost you between 80 and $120.

Good course, but the price is a little high for the quality.

We paid $98 to play on a Sunday at 7 a.m. the greens were fantastic, golf cart was nice with the ability to order a snack at the turn. Unfortunately they did not have our order ready and asked us to settle 4 something different. Greens are fantastic Fairways are okay but tight. Oh and after paying $98 you still have to pay for range balls. Unusual for a high-end course.

I coordinated a wedding at Black and Gold Golf Club for a wonderful couple and I was blown away about how easy and helpful Katy was all night. I started working with Gina who always responded quickly to my emails or calls but then the day of the event I was there for about 10 hours setting up, running and breaking down the wedding and I worked closely with Katy and she was SO amazing. Anytime I needed anything, or had any questions, she make sure that her and her staff were on it. Her banquet captain that day did amazing as well along with all the staff. It was a pleasure doing an event there and I look forward to coming back!Thank you to all the wedding staff, your work was impeccable!

Lunch here was very good. The salmon was good. Service was excellent. The place has a relaxing, slow paced atmosphere. I love looking out the windows to view the golf course and occasional large soaring birds.

Love playing, great greens and views from almost every hole. Staff is very helpful.

I enjoyed playing and practicing here at this golf course when I could, but unfortunately I will not be doing either. They increased the price rate of golf balls by 50% with little to no justification for it.The balls look the same as well as the driving range. The staff at the golf club are nice and courteous which gives them an extra star. Needless to say they just lost a customer and Ill be taking my golfing elsewhere.

The course is well above my expectations pertaining to conditions of greens, fairways and surrounding areas.All and all a wonderful golfing experience. Only paid $55 for the tee time so I can’t complain too much but I would definitely not pay $100 to play here. Golf carts are nice, driving range nice, pro shop nice and fairways and greens were above average. He black tees were not setup so we ended up playing blues. I suppose it was all of the over grown Bermuda that turned me off, probably since I’m use to playing much nicer Arizona courses that are of this same caliber or price range. Bermuda is very frowned upon for a course like this but overall it was a nice layout and I had a great time. I would definitely play it again for under $60.

Pretty course. Friendly staff, I had a great time.

5 hours 30 minutes to play at 10:30 a.m. on a Thursday. Didnt see one marshal the entire round. Waited on almost every hole, including the 18th tee. GPS on carts, but doesnt show the other carts on the screen, so had to deal with golfers hitting into us on blind shots. Other than that, its a beautiful course with a nice driving range.

I used this venue for my wedding. New events/catering manager Gina Homick. I think she was so much better than Liz. She was amazing on my wedding day and made it run incredibly smooth. Staff was professional. The venue was absolutely beautiful. The hills were green and the sunset view was incredible. She helped me organize everything and set up decorations.

Black Gold Golf Club: A popular course with Orange County golfers, this Arthur Hills designed par 72 layout stretches up to 6756 yards from the tips. As the course weaves its way along and through the nicely undulating terrain, you can enjoy wonderful vistas overlooking Orange and Los Angeles Counties, including portions of the Newport Beach Coast, and Catalina Island.

Designed for low to mid handicappers. If you are a high handicapper stay home or play from the whites and bring more than a dozen balls this is sort of target golf and the greens are fast you will lose balls if you dont hit the fairways....turn around and go play Birch in Brea or Green River.

Was there for a corporate event. The food was terrible - the fish option was cold and overcooked, the chicken breasts had bones in them, the prime rib was cooked nicely, however the portion given was way too small (2 little slices). There was no condiments like horseradish, salt or pepper, no rolls with butter either.

This was a great course. I thought it was a good deal for the $70 we payed. The staff was friendly and helpful for us out of town visitors. It is a spread out course that you will envoy. The only thing I was caught off guard was the $30 for six beers.

Nice golf course, but somewhat pricey. Then again, most nice courses in OC are.

Nice & clean. Clubhouse has a restaurant, outdoor terrace, small golf shop, small outdoor range, putting green..Busy, small, but fitting the needs of neighborhood golfers. Liked that they had kid golfing activities.

Awesome Golf club in Orange County. Black Gold has amazing greens, a great clubhouse, and very friendly staff. Make sure to go on a clear day because the views will be unforgettable.

Highest elevation in Orange County golf. Views to Catalina on a clear day. Great staff, great instructors (see Sean Lanyi), and a great course. Helps if you play with someone who knows the course. Its not particularly long, but there are trouble spots you should know to avoid. Greens can be very fast, so a soft touch with the putter is key. Im a 25 handicapper, but I can get out of there under 90. Its difficult, but if you play smartly, you can score.

If you like Extreme Golf this course is for you. Every lie is on a slope. There are many blind shots. The sand has been watered and is hard. The greens do not hold so you need to hit in front of the green if you can find a spot to land it without being in sand. The snack bar after 9th hole was closed on a busy, hot Sunday and cart girl was nowhere to be found. The only reason I gave 2 stars is for the views from on top of the hills. But next time I wont pay $100 for a great view since I wont be back. Ill go to a playable, challenging golf course like Strawberry Farms.
