Friendly and courteous. Its gonna be my favorite place.

The staff there are young nice men and are willing to help out. the instructors are great and the place is clean. they will help out with newcomers to shooting and the range itself is in really good shape. the only downside is the price. i feel they charge a lot more then they should for rentals and especially for ammunition.

Drove up on a Sunday around 1. The place should have been opened for an hour. All the door were shut and the phone was disconnected. Im not sure if theyre closed down or they cater to more locals so the hours might be flexible. All I know is that it looks closed, theres no updated website, or even a phone number to call. Im kinda disappointed because the bow shooting culture in and around Philly is non-existent other than for B and A archery.

Purchased a gun online and did the transfer here. The process definitely wasnt as smooth as it shouldve been and the young guy who did it was kind of rude.Theres also no air conditioning either for the range. Theres a fan but it ends up blowing the targets around if youre in the far lane.

I go to this range often, friendly, knowledgeable staff, decent prices. I recommend it.

Went here today 11/16/19 at 17:30. No lights, no cars in lot no answer of phone. Wisht I would have called before I drove 40 minutes from Turnersville but Google said it was open until 20:00. Anybody know what is up with this place?

Would not recommend this place, or classes here.Very unprofessional atmosphere. Back door is left open, and they smoke right outside so the whole place smells like smoke.I called ahead for a class, and it is $125 if you pay ahead, $150 on the day of the class. So I asked on the phone to pay ahead, and was told to just pay when I come in.So when I go to pay, they would not honor the $125, and I had to pay $150.Instructor used unprofessional and foul language, but was knowledgeable.

Called to inquire how much a gun transfer would be. Guy told me $40.00 with a subpar thank you and hung up on me before I could even respond back. Wow, what amazing customer service. In person they seemed decent and attentive to customers. Maybe I just got the one person who didnt care to do his job that day? In any case I wont be purchasing online in fear the same guy will drag his feet for days. I will say its a very nice range that allows you to bring your own ammo, allows rapid fire, and etc.

Here’s the pros, cons, and neutrals:PRO: decent rate to shoot $18/hour, everything reasonably priced, Ray (older gentleman) is a great employee who is very helpful to everyone, great experience shooting in the range, can use your own billets.CON: not in the safest area of town, Pete (younger overweight gentleman) was very rude and disrespectful when I didn’t know proper gun terminology even though my descriptions of things were on point. He clearly can’t properly interact with adults.NEUTRAL: small parking lot beside the building, cops at that store regularly for safety reasons.Overall recommendations: arrive earlier in the day since it’s not in a safe area of town, avoid Pete if possible (two other employees can help you with professionalism), bring your own ammo/accessories to save money. Hope this neutral review is helpful to future customers and range shooters.

Staff was highly professional & courtesy towards myself, along with a great facility for legal gun owner. I am a former Correctional Firearm Instructor & I was highly impress with Double Action.

Its a nice clean shooting range, the staff is cool . The range is more in favor of law enforcement officers . So if yu are a ACT235 Agent yu are considered LEO . If you go on a sunday the range can be a little packed but for the most part its cool. They allow you to shoot your own ammo . They also allow you to shoot rapid fire just as long as you have it under controlled and it can be done in a safe manner . The area is not as bad as people may think . It is located in the town of Yeadon . Just be safe and have fun enjoying your training. It is a little pricy when it comes on to their ammo . But they have a discount going on for their new guns im stock if you are looking to purchase . Its $25 off plus tax. So i guess thats a pro .

My friend was going to teach me how to shoot at this range. When we arrived, the range was empty and two old men were standing behind the front desk doing nothing. When they asked if I had shot before, they said I wasnt allowed to shoot until I took their 5 hour, $100 safety course that was held once every 2 weeks. It didnt take my health teacher 5 hours to tell me to use protection. Very rude and lazy people.

Great staff, and help you out if you have questions. I highly recommend getting the yearly membership itll save you more in the long run with rentals and guests. Even if you are going alone it is still worth it

Went here a few days ago and it appeared to be closed during regular business hours. Is this place closed down ? Or maybe moved locations ?

Very friendly staff, reasonably priced also. The lane rentals are cheap, U recommend obtaining a membership if U plan on coming often. There fire arm selection is good also, Picked up a brand new Glock 19 for a steal. Today was my second visit here and I left very satisfied. Ill definitely be coming back often as my schedule & finances permit. I wanted to take pictures of the range but its against the rules

Nice range. Fair prices. Friendly employees over the phone and in person. Any review where someone says they got “yelled at” is probably because they didn’t know what they were doing and firearm safety is paramount for any range. I came close to closing time and it was crowded but the guys managed to find me a spot, appreciate it!Thanks

Fun time!! Clean, loud but safe. Cool store with a little bit of everything. Ammo, cleaning supplies, targets, firearms and accessories. Lanes are marked on the nearest wall in increments of 5, 7, 10 and 15. I took my 1st handgun safety class there and just returned 2 weeks later to practice. The place is starting to feel like home! Looking forward to returning!!Update: 12/3/17 -- arrived 5:05pm. Business hours say open until 6pm. Was told I couldnt use the shooting range because they were power washing it. Have to agree with Mr. Simons review of 6 months earlier. They should clean after business hours. If you are not going to allow the shooting range to be used after a certain time just state so on your website. A business that turns away paying customers during business hours??? Oh vey!

Took my vintage 12ga in to put some shells through it and it was a blast. Friendly knowledgeable staff, clean range, and I saw a handgun course taking place that was offered in partnership with local PD. All Im all a great place, will be back for sure

Nice clean local range, 25 yards with ventilation, you can shoot your 556/223 too which is a nice plus since not many local ranges allow rifles. Always a open lane when I go in. Decent selection of handguns at a really good price (Sig legions for $1030 all day). Most employees are ex law enforcement and allot of the customers are too so they are very knowledgeable. Never had a problem with the staff, they are all friendly.*Side note*If you havent shot before i would take a class before going here as they dont allow people who havent shot before, and i can see why they do that from a safety stand point (too many idiots nowadays). They do give classes for 100 bucks that includes a box of ammo and a gun rental i think. Pretty cheap since most places charge 125-150 for a class.

Great local range. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Customer base seems to be made up of mainly experienced shooters . No BS and people trying to shoot guns sideways.

Very nice range. Its clean, well lite and the staff is very pleasent. I appreciate the veterans discount on range fees. Im thinking of getting a membership but hesitate because of some of the posted comments about having to buy your ammo there if you are a member. Is this true?

I went with my girlfriend to have a fun experience, We both own guns, for a while now. We walk in and nobody asks what if we need help etc. We had some very bad interactions and was rude. my girlfriends gun jammed and she came out for help, and that same guy just completely made fun of her. Overall, very little knowledge about guns, rude, and I will never come back out of principal and you should consider this too.also no selection of guns either. was just a dump.

My partner and I have come here for target practice many times, after checking out many other ranges. They have a good variety of rentals, (and guns to purchase) and the staff are very nice and knowledgeable. I recommend this place to anyone who asks where I go to practice.

My 2 teenagers and I (mom) just took our gun safety class with the instructor Todd D. The class enivornment was friendly and not intimidating. In class, Todd D. interacted with the adults and young teens. He reassured the class they will do fine in the gun range.In the range:There were total of 3 people including Todd D to help the adults and the teens. They rotate themselves among the adults/teens. They watched, give instructions:shooting stance, gun and loading, aim, and reload.Hint: the pre-teens or teenagers must be able to rest their arms on the table in the range (that was the requirements couple of years ago. Just ask). Second, parents with pre-teens/teenagers Must talk with Todd D about the class.

Pete and the crew at double action are the best! Very helpful and the owner at Double Action provides a safe and comfortable area to practice and learn firearm safety while shooting. And thats what is most important safety!

I go to this range monthly and sometimes I bring friends and my son.. always friendly and helpful. I bought two firearms from them a walther pps m2 Le and a sig p320 these guys are very patient and will show you multiple guns to help you figure out what you want and I never feel rushed. I also us them as my FFL.. JUS A DISCLAIMER FOR BLACK PEOPLE..Im a big black Male and I never not once got a strang look or anything from the staff here they treat me with the same respect as all other customers.

$18 an hr for a lane rental isnt bad. Gun rental & sales also available. Parking is free. Vending machines inside. Solid shooting range!

This is a really nice gun range; however, what I dislike about it is their range membership costs $225, which is very high, and youll have to purchase their ammo. I like to load my mags before I arrive at the range. If their membership rates were in the $150-$175 range and I could bring my own ammo Id join in a heartbeat since this place is less than 10 minutes from my house.

Pete is great with people I found him on youtube and just made my 2ed buy at the store just like before he did a great job

Sitting her right now at 4:50 on a sunday. Been here at this time before to shoot, never had a problem. Pull up today and a guy comes out the back door as Im parking to tell me we cant shoot because theyre closing early. Asked why and they said they were washing the range. So why not do that AFTER your listed hours of OPERATION. Guy was a dick about it as well.

Went for my first time to shoot with my wife and they told me she couldnt shoot because she had never done so. Told us we needed to go to a safty class. Could have been in there with us to show her what to do since i have already shot guns befor but i didnt bother asking because he said we cant shoot. Offered no other help or assistance. As another person stated in a review they need someone capable of training people on premises.

Super professional, I brought my son to the basic gun training and would definitely recommend it.

Brought girlfriend here with her new S&W Shield .40. ( a light weight single stack sub compact .40). Shes been shooting on an irregular basis for like 8 months now. So this being the first .40 calibrr shes ever shot, I knew the recoil would be a surprise. After the first 2 shots she was fine, and before the 6 round magazine was empty some employee came up and said shes not holding it right and doing it wrong, i said its a .40 she isnt used to it...he sarcastically says well you know you hold all the guns the same...then after giving her his man lesson, and then talking trash about .40 caliber, he said its too much for her and she should be shooting my 9mm!! Oh!... I thought she was just holding it wrong SIR! What an obnoxious tool. Dont let ANYONE tell you a certain caliber or gun is too powerful or too much for you! You can shoot whatever you can get a good feel for. If it is your first ti,e with a larger caliber, just practice with it then make a choice! Dont let these gun shop and range idiots give you advice. (Especially ex cops) their mentality always seems to be that they are smarter and experts on gunsm and that regular civilians are clueless idiots. So other then that Id probably recommend this place, just take their and gun advice with a grain of salt, and ladies, do NOT be persuaded into a .380! You are risking you life, that is a fact.Shot the ceiling tile huh? Id like to see a picture of that lmao!

I agree with Ed K. However unless Pete has food in front of him he might get distracted. The staff is much nicer here and the quality of clientele is a lot better than some of the characters at other ranges.

My brother and i shoot at Double Action almost weekly and our experiences have been the complete opposite of all the negative reviews im reading. Pete and the rest of the staff are great. Theyre knowledgeable, friendly, answer all questions and will even shoot the breeze with you. As for the ammo beeing too high, remember folks they are in the business to make money so they just can give the ammo away. They do allow to bring your own ammo, i bring four pistols to shoot every time and all my mags (12) are pre-loaded but i still purchase a box of 9mm and 2 targets because i like to support my local businesses. The yearly membership is $225.00, thats less than $20.00 per month, not bad in my opinion. This is a small convenient mom and pop type of place with good pricing and great people and i recommend them to all my family and friends.

Well my wife and I just came from there I am an activitied shooter but my wife would be her first time shootingI wanted RSO to go tru step - step all safety steps but they couldnt assistSo I was told to go to a next range which is all okI dont mater going to next range but I think for future that they should have an RSO at all times to teach and assist customers

To the extent that this is important to anyone, what makes this range special, although the facility is clearly safe, clean and well respected; is the fact that the facilitys owner and his wife, Ted and Michelle, are possibly two of the most well-known, involved as well as competent defensive firearm instructors and educators on the eastern seaboard. Ted has written numerous articles as well as a couple books and operators manuals, on dealing with (successfully - the term as used here could be quite important) because in the majority of instances his theory and instruction relates to armed encounters. He has held too many official positions regionally and nationally to list here in the disciplines associated with defensive pistol (IDPA, USPSA (IPSC), Action Pistol, Defensive Shotgun etc etc.). In my many years of being involved with defensive pistol as well as the competitive associations nationally, not as my primary occupation but more as a student and enthusiast, it doesnt get any better than this. Whether looking to improve or hone your skills, or looking to introduce a spouse or a child (ever important with the Second Amendment being threatened now more than during any other time in the last 200 years); Ive attended many events and been in the same squad with Ted and Melissa and can tell you, dont jump to conclusions because they dont look like Navy SEALs (God rest their souls), but rather just know that youre in the presence of a helping hand, or someone who would need about a week to get you ready to go overseas on deployment and anything in between. With small ranges being a key part of the gun culture which is the second amendment in action, its not always about comparing the price of fodder at of a Walmart super center as they have economies of scale to their advantage that is impossible to undercut. I actually take pride in paying more for ammo in support of smaller ranges and smaller gun shops. when you shoot at Double Action Indoor Range in Yeadon PA not only are you in good hands, but some of the most experienced in the country.

Great people to deal with helpful clean knowledgeable and they have archery rage along side the gun rage along with a rage .Officers work at the rage part time so you couldnt be safer .they also happen to be the nicest people aroundThey also have a small shop that sales duty items for the police .Always leave the rage with a smile and hope the all the best

Meh. Theyre nothing special and theyre definitely not cheap (15/person, 20 for 50 .380, 30 for 50 9mm!), but if you need a place to hang paper and get off a few rounds, theyll do.

What are the qualifications of a person to shoot at your gun range? What do I have to bring? My ID etc?

Arrived at just before 5pm Sunday. Businesses hours are till 6pm. Doors locked. Called the business phone and no answer. Could see no hours adjusted on Google or the website they own, or on the door?
