BEAUTIFUL...2nd review of this place and for a good reason. Went hiking down all the trails. Definitely worth the time and effort. Trails are mowed, super clean, and has awesome views....yall should check it out. Here are a few random pictures of my little adventure

We enjoyed our stay at the resort by the lake. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating! We stayed during the week and had access to the pool and fire pits by ourselves most of the time. The bathroom was a little small for a family of four! The kids had lots of fun on the playground and at the lake. The manager promptly resolved an issue at check out without any hassles.

As planned, I spent one night here. The room and bed was comfortable and worked for me. I did not take advantage of the fire pits outside the room, but they looked like they would contribute to family gathering. I think the best way to describe this site is a basic hotel room, but with a bit of glamping. There were two things I would take issue with. One, it was not known to me when booking the room that one had to purchase a day pass for the South Dakota State Park, so that should be factored in to the price when making a decision to stay. Two, although room pictures are relatively accurate, I didnt see a lobby or common area as shown. It should also be noted that these are not cabins, but three buildings with about 8 rooms per building. Cabins are nearby, but I dont know if they are part of the same property.

Not bad but its worth mentioning outoor pool is only open during season (not sure when it starts).Courteous and welcoming staff. Our cable TV didnt work but we found out pretty late night si didnt bother much with it. Overall nice location, fire pits available accross the property. Since its inside recreational area, your vehicke needs a pass as well. Double the orice of the cabins but much nicer room as well. Plenty of activities as well, hikimg/biking (bike rentals are also available)

We were expecting a bit of a nicer room. We like the closeness to the pool but would have been nice to have a little more carpet. Staff was all very polite. The rental bikes could use some repair. Flat tires and crooked handles.

It was such a nice atmosphere, liked having our own barhroom and rhen being able to walk out of our room to the outdoors, the fire pits and river were close enough and there was a wonderful bike path right by the shore.

I absolutely loved this place. Very clean, homey and relaxing. Housekeeping came every morning to drop off towels and collect garbage and do whatever else was needed. This place is truly a home away from home. I will definitely go back!

The redesign of the rooms was excellent. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and looked great.

Went to visit family for the day that was staying in one of the cabins..they were really nice . I think I would rent them if given the chance!

Such a lovely place even during this nasty Covid-19 crap. Beautiful area with play area for kids, bike and hiking trails. Animals are welcome. Social distancing very easy to maintain.

Quiet little spot next to the busy lake. Our rooms were great. The kids loved the pool and the lobby gave us free lattes. I recommend!

Relaxing on lake front property. Life is Good.

Staff were very friendly although having all their kids running around at the cabin where you check in was a bit off-putting. Rooms are also infested with earwigs but i understand there isnt much that can be done about that when you are located next to a lake/pool.

Super place to stay.. either rooms or cabins. Lakeside with plenty of room for kids to adventure, walk, bike, or fish. Beautiful scenery and wildlife watching.

Nice place to stay if camping isnt your thing

It was perfect for a quick weekend away. Firepits, pool, playground and walking path close by.

We were here in the off-season so it was very pleasantly priced. The location is unbeatable! The motel was a great value. Whoever stocks the rooms appears to have considered everything one would need. There was an abundance of towels, a coffee machine, a microwave and refrigerator, a laundry basket, a fly swatter, a vacuum etc... The room was very clean and comfortable and, especially given the history of the location, one likely cant beat it in the area.

The cabins are great. Well worth it. The reservoir is incredible.

We stayed in one of the resort hotel rooms, they were very clean, new fixtures and bedding. Air conditioning worked excellent in the 95 heat. The pool was very nice and fire pits. The beach area was clean and all of the staff was so very friendly from check in to departure. My only complaint was the coffee pot in the room was a one cup model but they had plenty of tasty coffee at the check in area. Will definitely stay here many more times!!!

Visited in September - lake and trails are terrific. Simple and peaceful place. Cabins could use an update but they are quaint and all you really need is a place to rest the head. Enjoy these great outdoors and visit aquarium / fish hatchery right now the road.

We had a family Wedding there, What a beautiful place, everything was clean and well cared for. Lots of light with a beautiful view of the lake, the great room was beautifully furnished, with comfortable seating, and a great kitchen with modern appliances! In the rear of the lodge are the bedrooms, with fun bunk beds, and a comfortable master bedroom, separating the great room from the bedrooms two hallways provide access to two full bathrooms, again clean, with pleasing warm earth tone tiles and up to date plumbing fixtures, outside there is ample room for large tents and outdoor lighting and large electric power plug-ins enough for pretty much anything! Everyone enjoyed their stay! I would definitely recommend this place enthusiastically!

Awesome beach!

Nice place..overall.but be prepared for bugs.......bring bug spray and maybe your own pillows and a rug

Me, Grandma and my 4 grandkids stayed here last year. We had a wonderful time, swimming, going on walks. At night we had a bonfire and s’mores then night time baseball which was a blast (except I could not see so they kicked me off). We are going to go back this year if still affordable!!

Lots of lake front cabins and rv spaces. Tent spaces also. Mowed green grass almost to the waters edge. Speaking of grass, there are people on tractors mowing all day, everyday. The cabin was nicely furnished but stating to get run down.

We spent 4 days at the resort, while visiting friends, Kevin And Cheryl Johnson, at their Sailboat. We had friends whos RV was parked in the State Park. Its a beautiful spot to vacation. Our room was spacious, clean and in a perfect location! Thanks!

This place is great. Went to a wedding and I had the best time. I highly recommend it.

This is the 2nd year in a row that we have stayed here over Labor Day Weekend. It is never disappointing, there is a lot of activities and things to do especially for children. I am very satisfied with Lewis and Clark Resort.

Absolutely beautiful Campground and scenery. Great swimming area, very large area that only gets about 5 to 6 ft deep so the water stays very warm!

Was there with family for 3days,..not a bad place but wish the staff were more involving in getting to know how clients are doing,..abit of hygiene upgrade inside the cabin isnt a bad idea kindly take it well coz nxt yr Ill stil be back with family

Had drinks with friends and it was nice.

SPIDERS! Large wolf spiders in our room. Stayed 2 nights, found them both nights. Then found another in my bag once we got home. The a/c unit was broken and loud.
