We ABSOLUTELY LOVE Goldfish! My sons (11 and 5) have been going for about a year now. It’s their favorite part of the week, especially during these times when they aren’t able to get out much and be around friends. Goldfish does an amazing job of ensuring safety and social distancing to make the experience possible. I’ve seen SO much growth in both my sons!! My elder son is now in Swim Force and my younger has REALLY gained confidence in swimming independently. We don’t live so close but it is WELL worth the drive to empower them both with a LIFE skill!
I appreciate the return to learning and normalcy that my daughter needs. She loves learning and being in the pool at Goldfish... Also- the staff recognizes her even after months away and as her parent- it personalizes the experience for her and I like that you deliver on that. Stay safe and keep it up!Our daughter (now 6) has been going to Goldfish Swim School since she was just about 1 year old. We have always appreciated the attention given to her development and the responsiveness and welcoming of the staff and her instructors. Now, in the era of COVID-19, we still return weekly for her lessons and time in the pool. We feel the precautions and procedures in place have been well executed in an effort to keep the students and staff safe.
You guys have done a great job keeping the facility clean and safe during this pandemic. We also love all the staff and especially our instructor, Aaron, who is amazing. I have seen so much progress with my daughter.
They have adapted very well to the current situation. The kids to teacher ratio is small and the lanes are wide. Extremely clean facility. Highly recommended for swim lessons
I’m very pleased to see Goldfish Swim School constantly sanitizing seats, changing rooms and handles! I feel safe in the protocol measures the school Is taking. I look forward every week to my child’s swim class!
I had no doubt or reservations about the reopening of your establishment. I can not think of another place I have been since Covid that has gotten it more right than you! Your attention to detail has always impressed me, but you have gone above and beyond with taking all steps to ensure both your staff and students are safe.
“I am very pleased with the reopening, and I definitely feel safe. Everyone wears masks when not in the water, and the changing rooms are CONSTANTLY being sanitized. Couldnt really ask for more! So happy to be able to attend classes!
I enjoyed the effort the staff put into making everyone fell safe. The pandemic has been rough on little kids, and seeing them smile and be children, again, is so comforting! Thank you!
Our kids have been going to Goldfish since they were little after a long theyre happy to back and have some sense of normalcy.Goldfish is doing great job with all Covid procedures and precautions which makes us feel safe!
The staff at goldfish has been doing a great job making sure all high touch surfaces stay sanitized and following all other safety recommendations
Great staff, clean, nice pool. Can get crowded on weekends. A bit on pricey side.
We love this place! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell that they love working with children and love what they do. The instructors understand that children learn at a different pace. So even though the class had 3 or 4 kids in it, they would cater to each childs learning needs. The staff also made it very easy to reschedule lessons when I needed to.
The BEST swim school! :)
Great swimming place. Kids and family friendly. Instructors are great! Very clean and nice run business. Look no further! Sign up your kid(s). They will learn a lot...
Aaron is so great with the infant class. He is confident in what the babies should be able to do/try. He is aware that it can be nerve-wracking for parents to see their little ones do something out of the norm, but has just the right amount of encouragement that allows for us to let go just a little. Overall, my 6.5 month young son loves going each week, is making lots of progress and is comfortable with his instructor which is priceless.
Youre teachers are awesome! I have to give a special shout out to Samantha who is the reason my son moved up and went from being terrified of going under water and remaining a glider 1 for a year to a swimmer now! She really understood him and earned his trust to a level that now he loves swim. He went from glider 2 to glider 3 in 3 classes!! I also want to mention Savannah and Ari, they are also amazing instructors who really understand and know how to motivate, and build the confidence of reluctant students! Thank you to all for making my son a swimmer!!!!
My 18 month old has been going to swim school since 6 months old. We love all the teachers at the Wyckoff location they are all very friendly nice and personable which makes for a fun experience . Take advantage of family swim in the winter its a fun activity to do with kids of all ages!
Our kids love it here. A fantastic learning environment. Teachers and staff are great. Very helpful and easy to schedule.
Best swim school in my area! All teachers are very patient and all are young kids, probably students. They have every possible time slot on any day of the week (May be except Sundays). They offer 12 make up classes per year - very convenient. They never complain even if we forget to cancel class and don’t show up. They will reschedule you for a make up with no issues. All instructors are very skilled and very nice to kids. My son had Daniel, Desiree, Jasmin, Samantha and other teachers and I loved all of them. This school is really great for working parents thanks to their schedule. Pool is a salt water pool so it’s more gentle on the kids skin. Always clean water. There is a shower area where they keep Johnson shampoo. The changing rooms are clean. Overall I have no complaints
Our daughter loves Mr Juan! The facility is always clean and we never have to wait for any amenities. Were very happy with our experience thus far.
We love this location! My son is enjoying his weekly sessions and has loved all of his instructors. Hes really excelling faster than i anticipated and is much more confident in his abilities without floaties.
Enroll ur kids here! U won’t regret. A clean facility with great and friendly instructors. My daughter makes progress everytime and looks forward to her next swim class.
Ms. Brianna is excellent. My son Niko absolutely loves her! In the short amount of time she has him swimming without fear! Thank you for all your patience and hard work.
My overall experience is amazing. Instructor Mauricio has been doing a great job with my 8 year old. He is getting over his fear of the water and learning a lot. Within just a couple of weeks my son has showed great progress
Your staff is the absolute best. They are nice to me, sweet to my son, but firm when they need to be. I have seen them handle some tough kids with tact and respect. Weve never had a bad experience with any of them. And to see the same faces, week after week and year after year, especially so many young faces (who are more apt to flake), that tells me you are doing something write on your end, too.
The staff is great. Fun, patient and trustworthy. My kids love coming to swim class and showing off their skills during the summer months.
Clean pool. Clean facility. Consistent lessons. Kind instructors. Many lesson times from which to choose. No gym members literally swimming through the middle of my child’s lesson. No creepy old dudes leering at the children from the corner hot tub. Certainly well worth the slight cost increase over our last place!
Absolutely love this place. The instructors are excellent, the small class sizes are ideal for new swimmers, and everyone makes you feel comfortable. My son could spend hours here. The family swim helps reinforce his comfort in the water. I appreciate the neat and clean facilities as well.
Very Clean and organized, my son love it,is a nice environment, i Really recomend it.
Great layout. Easy to navigate. Family swim option is great. My son loves going there. I like seeing that the lifeguards are constantly scanning & watching the kids. Very safe facility.
Disappointing 1st experience. Much of the young staff, starting at the reception desk, seemed bored & put out. My daughter and I both felt generally uncomfortable & confused. The pool area was hot, loud & chaotic. My daughter learned nothing & we will not return. Finally, the schools recent no-comment 5-star reviews are self-evident spam.
Dont buy the swim glasses from them unless you have tried it and if you cant then simply avoid. As we bought couple and None would fit. The one provided during the class just works but not the one purchased...
Just back home from my sons swimming lesson in Goldfish, Wyckoff. I was very happy with his previous lessons, but not today. Todays lesson is completely waste of time and money. There are only 2 kids in a 30 minutes class and the instructor spent less than 5 minutes with my son. It feels terrible seeing my 4 yrs old seating on the side of the pool and being ignored by his instructor. I think instructors there should pay more attention on how they distribute their time with each kid.
Expensive and get what you pay for. Small class sizes with good well trained teachers. Structured learning helps to ensure kids learn quickly. Has dryers for swimsuits as well as hair. Water is quite warm and shallow making it quite suitable for small childern.
Bella is such a sweetheart and knows how to work with children, she’s awesome and my son loves her ️
From the minute you walk in the door the atmosphere of the place is fun, colorful and inviting. My daughter takes her class with Mr Aaron (my daughter is 6 months old) and he makes the class fun and friendly for this age. We are in love with goldfish„
The staff is pleasant, welcoming and efficient. Went in this week with my own anxious son and his fears were calmed in less than a minute. He had a wonderful instructor who took his time with him and made him feel comfortable. Highly recommend this facility. Did not find it chaotic at all.
My son has been swimming here since she was 3 months old. He loves the water and Im so glad I got her into the pool at such a young age. He is very comfortable in the water which makes going though the lessons that much easier
We had our first lesson here last night and I couldnt be happier with this place. Finally a swim place designed for children instead of lessons at an adult fitness gym or hotel. Everything is new and clean. Best of all my different aged children can be in the pool at the same time in their own lessons. No more melt downs because the other one is having fun while one waits.
Excellent!!! My kids both did great there. The teachers and staff are wonderful.
We are so Happy to be a member of Goldfish Swim School! They are Amazing!
Kenny the instructor is awesome with the kids!!! Always a welcoming smile with the kids and he’s attentive to their needs like their googles. Staff is nice also.
Love the warm, colorful and friendly environment. My son smiles through his entire lesson!
I love the small class sizes and the flexible class times with so many on offer. The facilities are clean, well maintained and warm. My son enjoys his lessons.
The atmosphere of the club is friendly and warm and the decor is inviting and the staff is outstanding. Ann, at the reception desk is so very helpful and Alexa, the swim instructor, earns 5 stars for enthusiasm, and caring for our little guy!(Score 10 out of 10)
Goldfish Swim School has been a lifesaver for us! My son, Patrick, at 2 years 9 months was fearless near the water and had zero skills - a recipe for disaster! We enrolled him at Goldfish and within 6 weeks he could stay afloat on his own. Eight months later, Patrick is a great swimmer - he can swim the width of the pool with no problem (and a smile on his face!)In our time here weve had one small mix up about which level Patrick should move to and Jennifer called me in a timely manner and resolved it quickly and painlessly. The top notch customer service helped us decide to plan our sons 4th birthday here & he asks about it daily :)We LOVE coming to Goldfish - the staff is friendly, the facility is clean, the water is warm...but most importantly, children are encouraged and celebrated here!Would absolutely recommend!!
Wonderful learning experience for my grandson. The instructors are professional, patient and very motivating. I recommend goldfish swim school 100%!
The instructors that weve had have been very friendly and kind to my daughter. The lessons are very structured and helps build skills on top of skills in the proper order to ensure success!
Great place, my son loves it and swims like a fish. I would recommend Aaron as instructor.
My daughter has been swimming here since she was 4 months old. She loves the water and Im so glad I got her into the pool at such a young age. Shes now 14 months old and just started swim lessons. Shes very comfortable in the water which makes going though the lessons that much easier
We absolutely love Josh! He’s fantastic and has really gone out of his way to make our son feel comfortable and relaxed during his lesson.
We love goldfish! The teachers are wonderful and make my son feel comfortable in the water!
Beyond our expectations.Lovely staff and swim teachers. We leave an hour from the Goldfish but always excited to go ;my son count the days of the week to go to swimming lessons .Thank you so much ;its amazing to see how he lost his fear of the water at Goldfish Swim School.️
We went to goldfish with my then 3 year old, and took a little break. Not for any reason, but just because we needed one. Just recently started back and we have Miss Bianca. She is so wonderful. I swear my 4.5 year old has progressed SO much in the last month. I do have to say my only complaint is when we first were attending goldfish, my daughters teachers kept changing and that made her really nervous to wonder who she was going to have each week. Im glad weve had a constant teacher this time around, and I hope that doesnt change!
Horrible place. They cancel our class because of payment even that I use my cald everyday, and cancel my membership after one day of getting voimaimall. I called and they told me even that I want to renew I lost my makeups. better stay away. I mean it’s reallt unfair how they are disrespectful. They are calling from1-800 number don’t leave voicemail until yesterday and telling me it’s my faul. I’m sorry but I don’t pick every 1-800 call. My son way sick lately and I hospital but they just don’t care.also they told me they called almost everyday in August. I will Check on my phone bill. My husband told me they called only Labor say And yesturday. And I Dont Really believe they wers calling so much. It feels Like they are just looking for excuse to take a class away from one year old kid. If they think they will get away with this after I check bills then they have to think Again. My husband went there week ago they check atendence everytime so they could call “all August” but can say something in class. Really horrible people working there. Especially Laura or Lauren that I talked to. It’s rwally not fair but they make it look like they have no problem to take money away from you. I mean this is for kids and babies which are sick often. I did my part I called on day from voicemail!!!!! Also they told tell you that this might happen before you enroll!!!!
This operation runs like a well oiled machine! They do everything right! Safety and fun- a winning combo!
I used to be a WSI swim instructor and the class was fantastic.
I recently lost my 4 yr old daughter’s ear ring at this school during swim lessons. The manager told me they found it and saved it in reception. Later when my hubby went to pick up, they told him it’s “GONE” and couldn’t find it. Very disappointing and unprofessional place. The ring had its sentiments to it and I’m surprised how many of lot stuff will never be found in this swim school. Be aware!!!!!
Great staff, very clean, my 5 month old loves it!!
From the first day, my kids felt at home. The fun and colorful environment, along with the warm staff, has made every visit fun! My kids look forward to every lesson
I am so impressed, mr. Jonathan was such a great role model for my younger sister! he taught her so much! very pleased!!
Great place for kids to learn how to swim! Teachers are so awesome!
My 3yr old son was terrified of going in the pool at swim school and would scream and cry so bad every time we brought him. After 5x of freaking out once a week, he walked in yesterday sat down, colored, looked at the fish, and asked if it was time to go swimming! Not ONE tear! I really have to thank Vicki for being so patient with my son and telling me to stick with it, that he would get over it, and it would just take a bit. Vicki really did go above and beyond to help calm him down and give me a hand while I was also there with my 2 yr old which can sometimes be a bit tricky! Will, his swim instructor has also been more than patient and is so great! So a big thank you to Vicki and Will! We love goldfish swim school and will definitely be signing up my almost 2yr old this summer! xo
It is very organized! The changing rooms and hair dryers and suit dryers are very convienient! I also love getting an email anytime there is a change to my daughters program. Before we arrive we talk about the upcoming lesson and its so helpful for her to know the name of her new teacher. There is always staff available to answer any questions and they are super friendly and helpful! The lesson groups are small! I love that the most you can have in a group is 4 so all the kids get lots of reps. I also love that there is extra staff on hand to help in case there is a crying student. And the teachers are great with the kids!! I like that the parents are kept separate from the classes but can still see everything! I love getting to go in for the last 5 minutes to see a skill my daughter learned. I like that you allow parents to take video of their children. I send the videos to family who are not able to come to a lesson. I also love that students are moved along based on skills completed. Many other programs base their programs off of a time period and once you sign up your child has to stay in that class for the whole time period regardless if they have learned all the skills and are ready to move up to a new class. Most of all, my daughter loves going and is making amazing progress!! As you can see we are very happy! :)(Score 10 out of 10)
My kids (4 and 6 yrs) love it here and are making great progress with their swimming.
The Goldfish Swim School is so amazing! I love the staff they make you feel so comfortable!
Worst decision Ive made in a LONG time.My three year old daughter has a fear of pools. I called Goldfish swim school in Wyckoff and explained this issue. I was reassured that their staff are experts in dealing with this type of thing and it wouldnt be an issue. So off we went this past Sunday morning. The place is an absolute s**t show. Its a swim instruction factory. Its NOT the tranquil setting the website would lead you to believe it is. Classes run every 30 minutes. There are at least 10 classes going on at one time. Perhaps more. Between the instructors, staff, children and parents in the pool, the parents waiting for their children to finish and the next wave of people coming in for their lessons there had to be more than 100 people in the place. And its LOUD. As youd expect it to be. Again, I explained my daughters issues. That she already was freaked out by pools. I would have hoped the woman I spoke to initially would have warned me about the chaos and perhaps either steered me into a later, quieter time or even private lessons. Group lessons are at least a 4/1 student/teacher ratio. The teacher takes one student out into the water while the other kids wait their turn. So a half hour class winds up being about 7&1/2 minutes of actual instruction/interaction with the teacher.I bring my daughter into the chaos and she immediately begins crying. This was expected with or without the chaos but the level of it certainly didnt help anything. I hand her off to her instructor and take my leave. In fairness to him he did seem to take a genuine interest in her comfort. He took her gently into the pool and tried his best to calm her down. However, there was only so much time for him to do so until he had to put her back onto the ledge and take another kid out into the water. So she just sat there for five minutes at a clip, hysterically crying, watching the other kids go out into the water and fearing the next time she had to as well. To say it was hard to watch would an understatement. However, this reaction was expected and I knew if we could get through the first lesson or two she would would get more at ease as time went. The place had put her in a group with two other little girls her size and a boy that looked to be older and certainly bigger than my daughter. And the boy is seemingly messing with my hysterical daughter. Hes splashing her a bit and at one point he raises his foot and puts it directly next to her face? I should mention the lifeguard on duty is literally sitting an arms length from my daughters spot on the side of the pool. She could have reached down and touched my daughters head. Anyway, Im watching this boy mess with my hysterical daughter. I mention to the woman behind the counter that this kid seems like hes up to no good. That hes clearly screwing with my daughter and Im concerned about it. The women tells me its just kids being kids and I shouldnt worry. I reassert my concern and again Im completely brushed off. I return to my seat and about one minute later this boy reaches over and strikes my daughter in the face with his hand. Needless to say she begins to cry harder. The instructor sees nothing (again, he has his hands full with another student so its hard to blame him) the lifeguard sitting an arms length away sees nothing. I stand up and say to front desk what the hell? I told you there was an issue and before I can even move the POS kid strikes my daughter in the face AGAIN! I see this clear as day from 40 yards away yet these two employees have a tough time spotting it from four feet?I get that kids will be kids. However, this was 100% avoidable had the woman at the front desk taken my concerns seriously. I would have taken her 30 seconds to walk over and mention to the guard or instructor to keep an eye on the situation. She simply chose not to, My daughter was assaulted TWICE because of her inaction. After this experience Ill be lucky to get her back in a pool until 2017.
My son is only 4 and I’m just a few lessons has learned to swim!
Great instructors
Great place
