Nice place to walk, explore and see early life style. It was cool to see some items that we still currently have today in a more modern version

Wonderful representation of pioneer and mid to late 19th century life. Amazingly kept grounds, very clean and open buildings/homes to walk through at your leisure. Admission prices are very affordable! A must stop!

Stopped in on the village on a Roadtrip with the family exploring the west. We almost did not go in when looking at the village from outside the gate. But the curator came out and talked us into checking out the village. We sure were glad we did! The collection of artifacts is amazing. Most of the collection is from near the village itself. In fact many of the buildings were original late 1800s or early 1900s and moved to the current site. I cant describe the extensiveness of the collection, They have a lot of transportation pieces and many farm pieces. Our kids are aged 17,13,11, and 8 Each one of them really enjoyed the stop. Most of the articles you can touch and check out first hand. The staff is SUPER nice and inviting and can provide a lot of background information about everything. If you are ever in the area it is for sure worth the stop. I would estimate you would comfortably spend 2-3hrs here if you really want to see the everything in good detail.

Brings back fond memories of visiting in my childhood. A pioneer town all setup to give us a glimpse of what it might have been like in that time. Each house or town building has a story/facts about what youre seeing. You could spend a whole day looking at every detail and reading all the stories and facts or, if youre lucky, visit more than once without having seen everything.Kids (ages 5.5 and 7) enjoyed - especially my 7 year old who loves learning, she wanted to read every story in each house or shop.

This place added bonus to a long trip in the countryside. It gave an interesting yet enthusiastic experience of the pioneers times, for adults and kids alike, especially those who seek to explore the History of the USA.

Great tour and self tour option. Amazing to see how the Midwest was settled on a more accurate, visual, hands on approach. I would say this is one of the coolest things to do in Worthington, MN.

This was a pretty exciting place; there are a surprising amount of buildings and items here, and a lot to look at. They have done a very nice job of setting up the place, but I would suggest avoiding the restrooms. The $6 per adult is worth paying, and you can make the visit as long or short as you want.

We drove six hours from Wisconsin to visit Pioneer Village. Both Google and the sign on the gate show the hours of operation on Sunday to be 1 - 5 pm. We arrived around 2:30 and they were closed and had a padlock on the gate! We wondered if they were closed from the season, but could not find anything on their website to show that to be the case for any signage on the gate indicating this. So very, very disappointed!
