Its a nice little local park not too far away from me a lot of people who hang out there during the day dont pick up their trash and by late summer it can be pretty disgusting
Good unkempt place but no enforcement such as a little punk riding a mini motorcycle all round in courts ect his old man thinking that right i did not need to pick up an assault charge so i left. No class
The best time to see this place is a must in the spring and summer months. The grass is neatly cut and little to no graffiti. A great amount of benches so you can enjoy different parts of the park. The restrooms are open to the public and are fairly decent. Playground is safe, basketball court as well. Plenty of history to the park so take a walk around. The only downside to the park is the drug addicts that linger.
Good park for the local kids to play basketball baseball ️
Woonsocket Parks & Recreation has done an amazing & fantastic job renovating this park. The area is now clean and maintained and provides a safe environment to kick back, relax and enjoy the new improved playground, seasonal splashpad & amenities. Way to go Wooni!
It is a good park. The only thing that bothered me was that it was summer and the water was off but the park was fun and we still had fun. I recommend this park.
Great playground! Splash pad is awesome! Splash pad currently closed because of covid19
This park is a hidden gem!I was thoroughly impressed with the splash pad, the playground, the basketball courts, and the overall layout. The splash pad looks like it could accommodate dozens of children at the same time and has a wide variety of water features. Some of the features are appropriate for toddlers and others are appropriate for older children, so its perfect for a variety of ages. My favorite part is the surprise element of some of the features. Theyll turn off after a lengthy period of time and stay off long enough to lull you into thinking its safe to walk across before turning on and getting you soaked! My wife and I were seeking a place to take our 4 and one-year-olds to cool off on a hot day and this was perfect. Well definitely come back for this part of the park alone. The water park is adjacent to an impressive playground which also supports toddlers (as young as 2 years old, according to a sign there) tp older children. The playground features stuff you would expect from any modern playground (like slides and tubes) but also some stuff I havent seen elsewhere, like elements which are like a suspension bridge - and test balancing - and climbing ropes. Both the splash pad and playground are enclosed within a fenced perimeter and there is a completely open layout, making it simple to keep an eye on your kids if you want to park yourself on one of several benches or if you want to lay out on a sizable grassy area (also within the fenced-in portion). Theres also a shaded picnic area at the top of a perch from which you can see the entire area, if you want to get the high ground as you watch your kids. The splash pad is pretty easy on feet (you could walk around in it barefoot), but bring something to put on your feet if youre going to use the playground area. The playground area has a luxurious cushioned rubber surface but one oversight with it is the surface is hot to the touch on sunny Summer days. The grounds surrounding the splash pad and playground are also nice for a picnic or stroll. And while I didnt try them out during my first visit Ill likely spend some time on the nice basketball courts here, the next time Im there. Theyre immaculate and feature what appear to be Plexiglas backboards.I advised this is a hidden gem because its difficult to see from the roads. You could easily miss it, even if youre using GPS navigation, because there is very little signage to advise of where it is.
Amazing transformation for this little historic park in the heart of Woonsocket. Recent 2.2 million dollar renovation makes this park the best in town! State of the art children’s park surrounded by beautiful greenery, that transforms into a splash park in the hot summer days, and it’s FREE!!! Love this little gem!
My kids and I love this splash pad. We spend all day here. Only thing is that Burger King is the only kid friendly restaurant close by.
The updated facilities and attractions added to this park are amazing. My son & I have especially enjoyed the new sprinkler pads and playground that have recently been installed; this allows us to have an amazing new activity that is absolutely free! Way to improve our parks Woonsocket!!
Quite place and enjoy seeing people walking and exercising.
I see a lot of homeless people
Fun place for the kids especially in the summer with the splash pad. I love that the town has this. Fun for the adults too. Lol
This place was fun but the smaller kid area should have a fence to separate it from the big kid area. And the big kid gym is NOT SAFE!!! Extremely hazardous, no safety railings and like a damn death trap! Kids should not be able to fall from a 5 or 6 foot drop at any spot on the gym.
Such a great place to bring the kids. The splash pad and playground are completely gated and very clean. It is supervised at all times by city workers so I feel very safe letting my child run around. Free lunch is served to any child in the summer.
My kids love this place..Its a fun weekend afternoon especially if you bring a lunch and some sports equipment. All in all we have a bunch of fun
This park has an awesome playground for kids which has play equipment that is suitable for each age group. Its also accompanied with a large splash pad for the summer. In addition there are also two basketball courts, a baseball diamond, a picnic area, gazebo, an open grass area, and a path that can be used for jogging or even walking your .
This is the best thing the mayor could have done. The kids love it and the adults do to. Great place to spend the day and its FREE.
Childhood place love it so much theres PETS!!
Nice spot for the kids to play in the sprinklers on a hot early day if you want to stay local. Open grass area with picnic tables. It was a good time.
Open fields, playground, and newly renovated summer water park in the center of downtown Woonsocket.
Well-maintained City Park a play area for children basketball courts a baseball field in the summertime they have a water area for children
They are doing a great job at this park can not believe how far its came. Really miss being a young kid swimming there as it was but were thankful for all the upgrades
My son balled out # swish
Clean park, nice playground, large splash pad with bathrooms on site. Drawbacks: no shade within the playground/splash pad area, and no food or drink besides water allowed inside the fenced area. There is plenty of space outside the playground/splash pad for a picnic and there always seems to be an ice cream truck (or two) around.
Love the concept and ability to watch kids safely from a far. They loved the par and splash pad and its great for groups and family events
Great place to take the kids in the summer. Also they have a free lunch program from Monday- Thursday from 11:30-12:30 for kids from infants to 18. The program runs until August 8th. Enjoy!
Columbus day weekend is Autumn Fest. Great time for friends and family. carnival Beer Garden and plenty of food and vendors.
Great stop! Always pack a swim suit n towel just incase we can stop by which is weekly! Great cool down!
The festival we went to was pretty awesome there the only thing was the crowd seems a little shifty. Lots of toothless Toms and Walmart Wandas. But music and park was beautiful. Just looked alil like a trailer park when we went.
There are many things for the kids to have fun. The water feature is wonderful in the summer.
Its great for the kids, and its safe. I like taking them there. The lunch program is well balanced meals.
This park is fantastic clean neat little League field splash park nice grounds
Nice, close enough place for the entire family. From playing basketball and baseball, to cooling down withthe splash pad. I go there at least once a week.
Its a great place to take the little ones in the summer time. They have a little water park. Besides that its a good place to get a little peace of mind and having a little pic nic whith my best friend and the love of my life. But dont get caught in there after dark, because all the weirdos come out and the little Asian people I heard jump and rob you, but during the day its quite a great place.lol
Very fun time with the kids! All fenced in so I didnt have to chase my 2 year old as much.
Kids had so much fun its really nice that they did something like this for kids, teens and families to do on hot summer days... Social park is no longer social ocean or bum city or a scary place u dont wanna walk thru at night
Fall festival was great except for the carnival not letting me buy a bracelet cause the weather was bad aka i had to keep buying tickets cause there rides were 3 or 4 tickets each went quick, sell the dam wriste bands next uear scammers
Autumn fest is always a great place every year Columbus weekend
I like it now but the pond was much better for the kids in summer
Autumnfest is here today A very fun place after the parade
Lots of Litter on the ground, and seems to be a hangout for the Homeless people in the area!

Love having this in the area!!Need Sandles or water shoes playground gets hot on little feet
To many mouths with not enough brains. They ruin the park for everyone else. Splash pad is great!
Woonsocket out did themselves when opening up this new development for the city. Fun safe family friendly place to go and cool off or play.
Great for kids
Nice town park in Woonsocket, RI. Home of the annual Autumn Festival.
Its a safe and controlled environment. Young & old seem to enjoy it. I know I did. And Im a Grandma. It is clean and even the Woonsocket Police patrol it. Also the officer on duty come and speak with the children and they ask the officer questions so they can feel happy & safe at the same time. Added bonus is when youre too warm you can benefit from the splash pad too. Great place!! Cudos to the City of Woonsocket as they got that one right..
Very lovely park. Highly recommend it for family gatherings.
Thats very nice, well-maintained
Autumnfest. Go every year and love it
Its great here just really sucks having a bunch of homeless and addicts here when your trying to bring your child to play
Nice improvements
Nice water park at this location. Which is very much appreciated during the summer months.
Nice clean splash park. Free. Play area like a jungle gym. Wear some kind of footwear on splash side and on playground. The rubber on ground is blistering HOT!!! On HOT days. Basketball court. Baseball field. Good for waliking around the park. Bathrooms and changing area.
Love it here. Nice and quiet and clean.
Nice park for the kids, not such a good surrounding area
Great play area for kids
Its very nice n cleaned good atmosphere
Love the splash pad, basketball courts, park and permanently parked ice cream truck.
They have really turned thisplace around in the last decade. Adding tons of things for the kids
They did a good job rebuilding. The splash pad adds a bit of extra fun
The splashpad was fun, and the playground is great too.
Nice little park to walk.
I got splashed in the face by a small child holding a turtle...... but hey it was a good day.... if not weird
This is a great place to walk your dog or bring your kids during the day if your close to the area
Aside from going to this park for autumn fest I think I went there one other time didn’t like the noise and language being used in the park it is a nice park to walk around but could be a little quieter
My kids Love this park it came a long way. Now its family orientated and clean. My kids can run from water park to the playground with no problem. No food or drinks in fence area so the area stays clean and no smoking. You can have picnics on the outside of the play ground. A good amount of bathrooms for men and women. And on good days there would be the food truck. This place is for fun and peace. There is also A basketball court, baseball field and parking on both sides of the park. Great for walks as well also no dogs allowed. The greatest park in Woonsocket by far. Lets keep this place clean for are friends and family!
Great time there and everything else
Alot has change since I was a kid swimming here!
My kids love this place too much. In summer they have fountains which is no doubt kids favorable. Neat and clean. FYI they close the washroom in evening around 7.
Great place
Nice park..modern and cool splash pad.
Safe place for kids great for cooling off
Located in the center of Woonsocket, there is a large splash pad, playground, basketball courts and more. This site is host to the annual Autumnfest activities.
Great spot for the young-uns.
Great place to visit if your from Woonsocket
Clean and nice place to children
Nice family oriented place clean and secured
