If you can find another option for a mens league I would recommend doing that. The quality of players is solid, but thats about the only positive. It is very obvious that the league is held only to generate revenue and not as a service to the community. From the time the door opens they try to crank games out as fast as possible with zero concern for player needs. Despite the fairly large fee per team they will not pay to get quality refs (not all bad, but some dont even know the rules), and on top of that when nearly a quarter of the season was cut short for Covid no refund was offered to the teams. Our only option was to roll $25 dollars over to the next season that was $600 for a short season. Even with these cost and short cuts the gym isnt very nice either. The somewhat abrasive management seems to make up nitpicky rules and regulations as they go, but struggle to keep correct scores and time. Overall I am leaving the review at 2 stars because at the very least it is somewhere to play consistently almost year round. Hopefully as the league grows we will see improvements.
Early voting for Cherokee Vounty. Very organized and easy to vote. No lines! I like it.
Great place to vote.
CYB basketball is a sad example of serving the community. We learned on the last day of basketball registration for 9th grade that you had to put your own team together. In 24 hours I put a team together with 6 other moms completing a team and sent him an email asking to play. I called the rec center on MONDAY morning—as well as left the CYB Director 3 emails. On Thursday I finally got a response:“I’m sorry we are not taking anymore high school teams we have already sent our information in to have our schedules made.”The schedules have not even been made. I’m so frustrated and now 7 boys won’t be able to play this season. What happened to rec departments serving their their citizens? I’m so frustrated.
Close enough from home, easy access
Everyone is friendly an awesome!
It is a pleasure to see a county offer a beautiful place for our children to participate in classes they could never afford in private lessons.
Facilities here are clean and in good repair, there is plenty of parking, and the staff is friendly and professional. My group rents the Aerobics Room for dance classes, and we always find the room ready for us when we arrive. The scheduling is good, leaving about 15 minutes between room rentals so that people dont constantly have to overlap getting in and out of the room. Were glad to be using them for our space.
Rec Center has basketball gyms for open Play and meeting rooms. great playground and Pavilion behind Center and theres outdoor bathroom so you dont have to walk in.
Were having a great time learning tai Chi

So much fun... Basketball with no arguments
Literally everytime, 7 times to be exact, I have called or attempted to go shoot basketball, they have always been booked for camp or a private event, no matter what day it time of year. Just be a private gym if you arent ever going to be open to the public!
Love playing here.
Like their month-to-month plans
Great family fun
Fun
The staff seemed a little put off...
