Started playing here once a week now. Staff and clubhouse is great. Lots of elevation and challenging holes. Greens have been in great shape. Fun course to play. Worth visiting for sure.

Great links and dining at Tavern. Kids golf academy is great for children discovering the game.

Experienced a minor issue. The day I played the greens were aerated and I was unaware. Their was a young man at the counter in the proshop giving out 50% off coupons for the next visit however I did not receive one. I went to the pro shop after my round and it was closed. I phoned the next dayand left a message for him which no one returned my call. Rather disappointing.The course played well as usual.

Best place around! Whether you want to participate in a high prize tournament on nice bermuda/bent grass, or if you just want to have a cold one at the award winning Featherstones! This is the place for golfers!

This was my first time playing TLH golf club. For starters, it was backed up on 1 tee with a foursome on the tee box and a threesome in the fairway. They all took their time and hit 2 balls each. So we asked if they minded if we skipped 1 & 2 & jumped over to #3. I just dont know why there were 4 guys on the box for our tee time slot. Not a big deal. But worth mentioning.We played from the blue tees & the course was a stern test. Its in fabulous shape tee to green. Lots of elevation & a creatively designed layout. I really loved the track!So we finished 18 & went to #1 tee to finish our round. But a guy named Doug was eyeballing us and walked over to ask what we were doing. I said finishing the last 2 holes of our round. This disturbed him & he said there was a mens league that was playing & we couldnt jump in. Shared this story with the guys in the pro shop & they were very kind & accommodating & gave us a card for 1/2 price on green fees.I look forward to playing it again.

Great course, friendly staff and good service. Year in and year out this is still one of my favorite courses in north Georgia

Hadnt been there in quite some time but was lifted to see that condition of the course and clubhouse are still top notch. The staff is friendly and personable also. Am I going back? You can count on it!!!

Not a great experience. Have played here multiple times in the past. Yesterday they had 9 minute spacing and it was stacked up all day. After waiting to hit 20 minutes on the tee box at 5 (the cart girl even mentioned it was very slow out there), and another 15 minutes in the fairway we called the clubhouse to get a ranger out. The ranger said there was nothing he could do. He said we were only 4 minutes behind. How can we be stacked up waiting 10-20 minutes between shots and only be 4 minutes behind? As we made the turn, the one ranger was packing up and leaving so the back 9 was worse with zero course management. On 18 tee box, there were three other groups out on the hole stacked up. For the price, it is definitely not worth the aggravation. Will not be back. Will go to Bradshaw, The Frog, or Wolf Creek.

Very nice course, in excellent shape tee to green. The staff is always great. However, played this past Friday, 8:12 tee time. Very slow, group ahead of us was 2 full holes behind the group ahead of them by no.8 (all foursomes) and we waited on every single shot. The Marshall said the group behind was complaining about our slow play, then he sat with us while we watched the group ahead for 5 minutes. Unfortunately, he didn’t do anything about it. Guys behind us gave up on 16. 4:50 pace of play. Atrocious. Otherwise would rate this course 4.5

As a single, I was more than happy to wait and after checking in with the starter, (very busy-prime time, weekend) went to the putting green. The green, almost Masters quality! large and inviting of side bets Fellow golfers on the deck>))))). Name was called and off to the first tee. Now I want to tell that when you look down the fairway, green, and yardage, CHECK EGO look at the lay of the land smile! You have 17 more to go. Play any game but realize this is a rolling track. Hard to find a flat lie, including fast greens. After the round, cold drinks are happily served and you will book again.

Worked here for a couple years under Paul, Bill and Chris. I think from 2008-2010. Washed clubs, picked the range, washed and restocked the balls, washed, charged and re-positioned the carts. Enjoyed this job during HS/college. Good food up at the restaurant; which is now owned by some family friends. Left this job (and Georgia) when I joined the military. Moved back to Georgia to settle down after 10 years moving around and bought a house right down the street from TLHGC. I dont think Paul is the head pro anymore but maybe Richard is still managing the landscaping - theyve always done a good job with this place and Im happy to live here again.. Im looking forward to coming back up here to play.

Course is in excellent shape. The bentgrass greens are rolling true, as always, thanks to Richard Staughtons expertise. The staff is very friendly and always helpful.

I apologize for this review, this was more or less a joke thought up by me and my friends. This was very disrespectful of me and all of you do a great job at the course and i am in no way in the position to be speaking negatively on anyone, because i’m just a kid who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I’m sorry for being immature and being a problem. I’m honestly embarrased for even thinking about posting this, and i hope you see this and know i don’t wanna be a problem any longer.Thank you.

One of the rangers was super rude. Harassed my group multiple times for being slow when we were waiting on the group ahead of us every hole - we couldnt go any faster without constantly hitting into them. Later a different ranger said it was actually a group several holes ahead of us who were playing multiple balls who were holding up the course. Also, the one rude ranger yelled at a disabled member of our group for having the cart in a certain area of the rough - which I get normal carts shouldnt have been there, but he then also rudely looked this person up and down after they explained their legitimate physical disability. After the turn I really lost interest in playing because the ranger threw me off my game. The guy should have saved it for the group actually causing the problem.

Course is in good shape. Pace was a little slow.

Great, fun course. If you are just slightly off the pace of play, be prepared to be told to speed up twice a hole until you are ready to drop kick a ranger. Really unenjoyable and unpleasant to be rushed for no reason.

Always have a great time at this course. There is a great variety of challenging and fun holes, and the course is in great shape. Looking forward to returning soon!

HILLS!! is the right name for this course as there are hills all over the terrain. Uneven lies are common in the fairways and undulating greens await. A nice layout. The 13th tee shot reminds me of Augusta National -- through a tunnel of trees opening up to the right.

Nice layout, but a 5hr round is considered a fast pace here it looks like. Literally waited close to 5min on every shot today. Won’t be back.

One of the worst kept courses Ive ever played

I just tried to book a tee time on golfnow.com. Towne Lake now no longer wants a single golfers business because they refuse to allow me to take advantage of a preferred price for next Monday despite the entire days tee sheet being empty!!!!!! I spoke to Tim the head pro who told me he is responsible for the entire operation at Towne Lake. He stated he had problems with singles booking up many different tee times. I asked him what was the issue? If he has problems with a few bad actors ban them from the course but do not penalize all singles. I am a business owner and coordinating a round with multiple other players is not going to happen. Towne Lake has hired and professed much poorer customer service in the past few years. It is almost like their attitude is.... take it or leave it. I will leave it and refuse to pay $44 for a round of golf by calling the course versus the $33 advertised on golfnow.com. There are too many other courses to play for singles and everyone else to put up with such rotten service and total bias towards the single golfer.Also, they no longer take new reviews. I had to edit an older review to post this newer review. I wander why they no longer take new reviews? I know why..... they are getting many negative reviews.

Went there for dinner, a great place thats open to the public at reasonable prices.

Great golf course with challenging layout but manageable for a mature golfers if youre willing to take a strategic approach to your game. Well kept in great condition. Good promotions and friendly staff. 1 star deduction due to only fair food selection-preparation. Not bad, but the lesser side of average when we were here.

This is one of the best courses Ive played in Georgia. Staff is really nice. The course is fun and challenging. It allows you to use strategy through obstacles of thickets and water, as opposed to just hitting towards the green and hoping for the best on a wide open fairway. They also have the best beer selection at a golf course that Ive ever seen.

Played for the first time this past weekend. Staff was very friendly, course was in great shape, nice practice facility as well. Cool little bar inside with good draft selections.

Worst experience ever. Never felt so disrespected in my life. Went to hit golf balls at 630 am because I own a business and thats the only time I have to do so. The man inside laughs at me and says You idiots think a golf course is open just because the suns up. I explained that I understood and just wanted to hit balls and I have been there the same time the last 3 days. I also explained that I understand they are working and I will stay out of the way if they are working where I would be in the way. The sad part is that I was going to join the club next week when I was back from vacation. So naturally, I drove right down the street to eagle watch, felt welcomed and in spite, I will be applying for a membership at Eagle watch today!!! 1 act of ignorance cost that club 5k a year. I would not go play Towne lake hills if it was for free!!!!

Challenging course with some beautiful scenery. The clubhouse has basic course foods (Club sandwich, burgers, etc.) With a part time teenage staff. The only thing I did not particularly care for was the elderly staff members amwith their outspoken viewpoints about other religions.... which I certainly didnt ask for.

Oh My Word! The Pool and Swimming facilities here are quite spectacular. No wonder families are willing to live such a distance from downtown Atlanta.

Older man (with white hair, manager?) was rude rude rude! Asked if we could play with just a threesome of friends rather than having a single join us. We said we could wait or jump faster if that would help. He told us that it wasnt his problem and continued to go on about how he ran his club. The course is totally up and down. You will never get a flat lie here. Like a pin ball machine. Between the rude staff and course I will never go back. EVER!

Tough golf course but very well maintained.

Young guy in the pro shop was rude, gave me a lecture when we checked in about bringing my kid out to play and clearly said kids were not welcome on the weekend due to pace of play. We had an afternoon tee time. Then the starters both made similar comments. Went out on the course and had a SIXhour round waiting every shot. My son and I play 18 in under three hours with an open course. Course is nothing special, basic muni course, very short, very crowded. No reason to go back
