I have been wanting to play with some bows for a while and today the boyfriend surprised me with a groupon-date to Taz Archery!! It was awesome! For us beginners, the guy who helped us gave us a quick rundown of how to hold the bow, aim, and the range rules. Once we got the hang of it, he went back up front but checked back periodically with us. It was nice to receive tips but also not be watched like a hawk. Very chill atmosphere, very welcoming.They have everything you need if you want to give it a try. You just need to show up! Now I want my own bow...

6 STARSSo let me tell you why! So I ordered a target bow about 8 weeks ago and TIm has been in constant contact with me giving me updates, and to no fault of his own the bow was delayed. Well we’re down to the wire and Tim is loaning me his personal bow so I can compete in Vegas Indoor Championship. Now for a owner to be even willing to do that to me is above anything I’ve ever encountered in a pro shop! This is the dedication T.A.Z. Archery shows to his customers I will forever be a customer to this pro shop!

My daughter (14yrs old) has wanted to take Archery lessons for awhile now, found TAZ on a Google search, when I called very friendly staff and made an appointment no problem. The drive for us is about 40 min and it was worth it, my daughter was taught all the rules, how to hold the bow, and how to properly shoot. 1 hour lesson and my daughter was hitting the center of the target no problem. We will definitely be going back! Highly recommended!

This review had been a long time coming. Although I haven’t been in the shop this year, it was the shop I found when I moved to the Woodstock area. Tim impressed me as a man of solid integrity, and I believe that anyone would benefit from his knowledge base and expertise . He has a couple of youngsters with him in the shop, gleaning off of his hard earned wisdom to learn the craft...I believe one is his son. Having grown up in a small family TV shop, I completely appreciate the family business atmosphere. You don’t get (genuine) customer service like theirs, as the norm, in Corporate America.God bless all here.

I had the pleasure of visiting TAZ today and instantly I felt that I would be a long time customer. I forgot my allen wrenches and was loaned a pair from the owner so that I could sight in my bow. Everybody was very friendly and inclusive. Some alleged pro shops can have an attitude like you are lucky to be in their presence, not at TAZ, if you are a beginner or have been in the archery world for a long time, this is the place to go.

I had higher expectations based on all the reviews but I didnt have their same experience. The guy who was doing our lessons left in the middle and then we were flying solo, it was a beginner lesson. They were nice people when you could get some help.

Great place! Took one lesson and I was able to shoot multiple bulls-eyes after a bit of practice. Laid back environment and a great way to spend an afternoon.

It took a little longer than expected for my bow to come in after I placed the order, but when it did, it was totally worth the wait. The staff showed a lot of care in setting me up and helping me sight-in for the first time and also gave me a great first lesson. Im glad I chose to start my bow-hunting journey with TAZ and I will continue to take my bow their for tune-ups.

Most knowledgable bow shop staff, Ive ever met. They know their stuff! Tim and Parker genuinely love archery and always do their absolute best to explain every detail you ask for. They never come off as if they are out to just make a sale which makes me feel so much more eager and comfortable to purchase from them. Its always safety and customer first, business second, when it comes to their business. I purchased an elite energy 32 with custom strings from them. The strings are perfect (even though it took like an hour for me to decide exactly how I wanted them done, Parker was so patient with me). They also assisted me in finding a person to hydro dip my bow for a custom paint job. Im in love with my bow. Thanks TAZ!!

Horrible service! If your new to archery wouldnt recommend it. The only reason they got one star is because the range is decent and they sell top of the line bows.

Great place to shoot, take lessons, or get a bow. They have an excellent JOAD program for anyone interested in having their child get into archery.

Stopped in today after being frustrated with a new bow. Tim had me up and running in no time. The best part was he actually communicated like a friend instead of the elitist attitude most bow shop owners seem to have. Thanks again!

I recently got a tune up on my bow. I purchased a new string, sight and arrow rest. Everything looked great. I went to purchase new arrows from a nearby archery shop and the owner looked at my bow and told me there were a few problems with it.1 big problem was the arrow rest was not compatible with my bow, yet they sold it and installed it which they had to modify it so it would fit properly. I took it back to Taz and the kid told me there was nothing wrong with it. So I took it back to the new archery shop and the owner gave me a detailed list of problems and fixed it for me. He even showed me how to fix everything. I will not be going to taz anymore.

The staff was helpful to us noobies. Nothing flashy at the range, but it was a fun experience.
