The staff is super knowledgeable. I have been in the store over the last couple years (which is super clean and has great selection) but I just had a really great experience talking on the phone to Leo from online department about coral Quarantine and the steps they take to ensure no pests on their corals. He even gave me great tips on how to quarantine corals myself at home. Overall Top Shelf Aquatics has given me such a great experience each time I’ve gone in and I can’t thank them enough for all the help they’ve given me over the years

We ordered an awesome looking bi-color hammer frag that was not only larger than I thought but the shipping was the best Ive seen so far. From FL to WI and it looks perfect. Extremely clean and tidy store-- from dry goods to fish and corals. Staff is friendly and attentive, without applying sales pressure. I have bought $100, $200, and $300 fish there, and all acclimated well. Probably my favorite place to shop.

Not very helpful, seemed bothered by people skiing questions... more interested in walking around checking to make sure customers masks completely covered their noses. Bottom shelf customer service. Hopefully others besides those there that day had better experiences.

Very pleased with the corals purchased from top shelf aquatics. The shipping container is sturdy, the corals arrive double bagged and very securely fastened. All corals Ive gotten from them have been exactly what I ordered and healthy. They are slightly on the expensive side, especially with high end items, but worth a little extra.

With how frequently we visit TSA Im super grateful everyone is as friendly as they are!All the guys who work here (and Claudia!) are incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They never get annoyed even if you ask them a million questions and their always happy to give you their opinions on how to do something.Weve had a few deaths and parasites come in but thats why you QT, holding that against a store is crazy when theyre all getting their fish from wholesalers who sell to all the stores.They have fair pricing on everything compared to other stores and of all of the saltwater stores we have to choose from in Orlando, Top Shelf is the only one we go to now.

Austin picks up the phone every time, he is never annoyed with the million questions I have. He is very knowledgeable and so nice. I have been going here for a year now. This place is out of my way but I choose to go there because the staff and quality of products. Would recommend everyone to go there.

I have changed my review.... I give this place 1 star. This is because the associates there lied to me. they told me that the fish I bought had been there for weeks and it had just gotten there. They said there was no need to QT the fish as it was in a hyposalinity, Cooper treated water, and that the fish was 100% healthy. I bought it died the next day. Properly acclimated it, did everything right. Then I bring it back, they test my water about 10 different ways, and since my water is pristine they gave me store credit, but were completely rude to me. They followed me around the store like I was a thief. Rude rude rude... Their very expensive selling anemones for twice their values. I bought a huge long tip in Leesburg for $39 one half the size at this store was $80. The store is nice and clean, but good Lord their expensive and completely rude. Do your research and find a store that is for you. Price point, service, and quality. Just my 2 cents

One of the best aquarium stores in the area! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They are also sincerely interested in your tanks success and not just selling product. Quite a selection of sizable coral colonies, which is nice to see instead of just frags like other aquarium stores. Cannot recommend Top Shelf enough!

First time customer and all I can say is they wowed me. All 10 corals arrived within a one day time frame from Florida to podunk Idaho. The Corals were packed double bagged, with a separate outer bag. Inside each bag they used a plastic cup to support the coral and minimize and damage to the coral and the bag. The bag water tested pristine. Acclimation instructions are provided, but could be improved. After fast drip acclimation. Initial eye only inspection showed the corals were in great shape. Working through the initial dipping process and using a 10x ocular, revealed a very clean plug and coral with the exception of some hair algae and one bubble algae. I did find one very, very tiny bristle worm, but no bad pest and 0 eggs under magnification. After the second dip, and further inspection again, nothing. My final peroxide dip removed the algae. All corals softies, lps and sps are in the quarantine tank and doing very well, all are open under T5s and AIs and looking quite well. Very nice work guys...keep it up!!!!

My experience with TSA has been nothing but top notch. There were some issues with the website on a recent sale on the forum reef2reef and when I called and explained the issue, not only were they understanding, but made instant accommodations to rectify the issues I had. Best saltwater aquatic store in town!

First time buyer via online, I have never been to actual store. I ordered about a week ago a shipment of some very nice zoas and a beautiful piece of Lemon Lime Favia, shipment came in in a sturdy box very well labeled, after opening the box I found a print out of each frag with a color picture, description, recommended light and flow for each individual piece, there was also a color print out with acclimation tips and very clear instructions to follow for DOA, acclimation, dipping and coral placement, next I found a Styrofoam cooler with cooling pack under the lid and a big bag, once I open the big bag, found each frag was double bagged and each frag was placed in a small cup holding the frag to prevent damage during shipment.About 24 hours later after placing frags on my tank with very dim lights all the polyps were fully open looking very healthy, they all matched the picture (WYSIWYG). The colors of the lemon favia.....out of this world.5-6 days later all frags are doing great all polyps still fully open and extended, very soon they will be on their spot on reef so they can grow into a colony.Very good experience with this company, top quality from website to packing and delivery. Very high quality aquaculture corals. will order some more soon.Thank you TSA!!

Ive ordered from TSA on a couple of occasions and the packaging is always top notch and the corals look amazing once theyre opened! The order I received today was missing a coral so I called and talked to Steven in online sales and that guy with out a question figured out what was going on. The piece wasnt looking good so they cut me a fresh one off the mother colony and it will be here as soon as its healed! I can respect a company even further to know they will decline shipping an item until they know its up to their standards! They also tried giving me a heads up yesterday via phone that I happened to over look so thats totally on me for the surprise of the missing piece! Thank you Steven and Claudia!

TOP SHELF staff is great. The corals are well priced and clean. My wife and I were helped by Greg from Top Shelf as we came in to pick up some dry goods and look at the corals. He answered our questions and assisted us in picking some corals. When we asked if they were aquaculture he proceeded to show us the Top Shelf grow tanks next door and then gave us a tour of the new warehouse grow areas. We learned a lot about the Top Shelf processes and we are even more comfortable buying from them. We ended up buying the dry goods we came in for as well as 4 frags and a giant clam. I am a marine science teacher, not a tank owner. I LOVE Top Shelf Aquatics for their helpful and loving nature towards their industry, and above all, their selflessness and stewardship. For the past 3 years, I have gone in there and they willingly give me multiple samples of beautiful macro algae to show to my students. I recently got my order from TSA bring the 3rd time ive ordered i had no concerns. But when i opened the bag i was delighted at the health and quality of my coral plus my mardi gra shroom had multiple baby shrooms so much love to TSA.

Amazing saltwater place

Original order I placed they sent me two of one coral. When they sent out replacement wasnt even the right one again. Sent them an email telling him it wasnt the right one they never responded.

This is supposed to be a hobby that brings pleasure and an appreciation for arguably the most interesting creatures on our planet. Greed has infiltrated our hobby. A selfish few have artificially manipulated the market for corals preventing so many enthusiasts from accessing the corals they enjoy. If you cannot run a profitable enterprise without marking up the livestock you sell for less than 200% above cost, you really shouldnt be in business. Depending on customers ignorance to sustain your operations is a guaranteed recipe for failure. Ask yourself this. If every customer who walked through the doors were educated in every aspect of your industry, how many would be walking out with a $200 acro finger? As a hobbiest I expect to pay a 100-200% markup as I know whats involved and this markup is justified. Im going do you the favor of not putting yourself into a situation where i feel cheated from this point forward. No more $180 infinity gauntlets. Lol.

The best thing about this place is that the two times Ive been in - after driving about 30 miles in search of a good place to find new and healthy fish - the gentleman working has been very helpful while also interacting kindly with my 4yo son. There is something to be said for a small business whose owners/staff are understanding of people who have children. I have never had a problem with any of the fish Ive bought here and feel like I can always call if I have questions after a purchase. Great place to find beautiful aquatic pets!

Shipped to Alaska with UPS with no problem. It was delivered in a day (which is unheard of) but the coral arrived exactly as the images shown on they’re website and with no stress damage. Plus the heating pack was still warm. 5 out of 5 will definitely be buying again!

What a crazy awesome place to check out! I was in town picking up a tank from a private sale and wanted to check out the local shops, wwc in winter park was extremely overpriced and didnt have near the selection that top shelf had. Top Shelf Aquatics has been our Saltwater Fish and Aquarium supply resource for six years and counting. They have always provided the best advice on fish and supplies without being concerned about whether we were making a purchase or not. In fact, they have stopped us from making purchase mistakes which may have led to tragedies in our aquariums. Their recently expanded facility is amazing!!

First place is definitely as it says top shelf. They had an insane selection of livestock and coral rivaling a reef creation up north. The prices seem reasonable but I was just called to tell because I didnt get to spend much time there they run a lot of ecotech Marine equipment which I also prefer to run because it is the best of the best so I assume that all of their different corals and fish are well taken care of. As far as their staff goes the guy was all right wasnt that cool. At this point Im just trying to find store thats reasonably priced as well as has a decent selection. Be where you could end up spending quite a bit of money in there with that being said I cant remember the kids name but he really helped me out and see a lot of questions that I had and answer them truthfully I was like it when I feel like someones giving me their honest opinion and not a bunch of baloney trying to get you to buy the most expensive products right now Im going to toss up my favorite local fish store thanks kid

Today I drove two hours to visit Top Shelf Aquatics for the first time and I am glad I did. Alex and Austin spent a lot of time with me picking out a bunch of high end corals that my more local stores didnt have or wanted a fortune for. The store was packed with people for the entire two hours that I was there. The coral selection was great, the fish all looked healthy, their equipment selection was TOP SHELF. They had the most variety of equipment I have seen locally by far. I will definitely be going back again soon.

I ordered 3 frags and one frag arrive dead after shipping. I sent an email to top shelf aquatics and i received a fast reply and a replacement frag very timely. And it looked very healthy - all the frags look good. Im very happy with the experience and will be a repeat customer.

Easily one of the best experiences one could have in the hobby. The staff are extremely helpful, honest, insightful, and always put forward excellent recommendations. Theyre more than fairly priced on live stock, tanks, foods, etc. They even sell a number of accessories such as lights, rocks, power heads, sumps, you name it. My girlfriend and I drive over an hour to go to this store simply because it is bar none for Central Florida marine needs. I highly recommend them!

Nice place. Staff are friendly, polite, knowledgeable, but the price for Coral, in the past few months, just jump way high. Was my go to place for Coral, but I can no longer justify spending nearly $200 for a 2-head Torch that is barely bigger than my thumb.

Probably the best Saltwater Fish store in the Orlando area. Ive vacationed in Orlando my whole life, and just moved, and this store is a huge upgrade from the stores up north. Huge variety of corals and livestock, and youre able to ask if they have any pieces out back, that arent necessarily up in the show tanks. Worth a visit even just to browse.
