Lake Ida Beach Resort

Room is clean. Rates are fair. But they are way to strict about visitors. Pool is super clean.

Service wasnt rude nor friendly.Rooms were cozy but the bathroom needed a little work. Water backed up while taking a shower. Most likely clumps of hair that needed to be cleaned out. Pretty gross.But with that being said Id stay again if Im in the area. Pool was decent. The dock was nice and peaceful in the evening. And above all this place just has an old Florida feel that is hard to find.Also has a full size fridge and stove. Good luck finding that without paying 300$+ a night at any other hotel.Perfect budget cabin if you dont go into it with the mindset of expecting everything to be perfect. It has its flaws but it worked for a mini vacation to Legoland for me and my family.Edit: also to the nuts that let their kids play in the lake WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? Just standing at the dock I spotted multiple Gators. Look what happened at the Disney resort. Alligators with snatch your kids if you let them splash around in the lake. Stick to the pool.

We were treated really nice. I just didnt like how the lady treated our neighbors. The guy next to us was taking his two babies with him in the stroller, one of the babies was crying and the lady that works there said please, no noise after 10pm. He said: I cant help if they are crying.Other then that, it was nice. Loved the place that we stayed there, and the lake is good for fishing.

Clean. Convenient, great price - we have been staying there for about 5 years when we visit Winter Haven.

So this place has cottages,some have gas stoves with refrigerators,clean,comfortable beds,wifi is great,HBO,Showtime,nice clean pool. They are dated but they are changing them. Most importantly safe area,can not beat the price.

Bed bugs,roaches,dirty linen,very rude people/person running t place. This has to be the worst place EVER !! AND IF I COULD RATE IT UNDER ONE STAR,I WOULD

Its a great place to stay also there friendly and have great custamer sirvice they have good size rooms with mid bathroom they also have a pool and a lake with a dock so if you like fishing and you have a pole come stay great place to stay also they also have wifi and weekly stay cost me 275 a week

Excellent option in this price range. Very nice little cabin style motel. it was clean and well stocked. Wifi to steam Netflix. small lake but you still can get good fishing, turtle and small alligator in the lake. this is a room in humid Florida for under a hundred dollars with a kitchenette, I am a massage therapist living around here,was a client living there,and he very happy with the small cabin and bring me a big fish was he Caught,I can see he was very very happy.

Owners are pretty rude. Dont come here. Went to visit a friend staying there and I was asked to leave?

Close to water. Quiet, comfy rooms with clean linens. Helpful staff. Parking definitely problematic and its difficult to back up or turn your vehicle around. Within 5 minute drive of most stores.

Well I went there with my service dog and the guy behind the desk had no issues with that as long as I had proper documentation. I in turn provided that. However, as I was going in to show him his wife passes by my truck and sees my dog. When she gets in the door she starts having a fit about my dog. He immediately tried to calm her. Why cant I have my dog,I asked. She starts talking about how she was bitten before etc etc etc. I had to pay a $25 refundable deposit to cover anything that my dog may have destroyed. Again I had no problem. Everything was fine. The room was nasty, musty bed linens, the towels were stained to a nasty brownish color, I killed so many roaches that I lost count. I asked for my money so I could leave and they refused. So I stayed in Hopes of not being carried away by the critters while I slept. The next morning I load my stuff in the truck and proceed to the office to get my deposit and they again refused to give it back without even looking to ensure nothing was wrong with the room. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO THIS ROACH MOTEL......

Very clean bungalow/cabin. Friendly staff, very hospitable. Lake needs some serious work, but over all it was a great place to stay.

It was pretty nice. Definitely needs new mattresses and paint but it was still nice. Definitely would stay again

This place has no beach, sure as heck is not a resort and is run down and the furniture looks like a 60s flashback. I was going to stay here took one good look at the room and decided not to stay and could not get my money back. Left anyway I did not feel safe there by myself (my boyfriend had to work). It looked like drug people were living there. You are better off at a Hotel.

I enjoyed the cabin setting and the location. The location was close to everything!

When a renter has indicated they will be coming. If you have the AC turned off before they arrive. It would be thoughtful to turn the AC on approximately 2 or 3 hrs before they arrive. Place was clean, but smelled musky, old, like the carpet hasnt been cleaned in years. Pillows on the living area couch, was Dusty. I wouldnt stay there again, until they up grade or do better cleaning

Nice pool and staff

Really nice setting, and great prices on a full cabin on a small lake. Yes the decor was quaint, but everything was very clean and well maintained. My only suggestion for improvement is that the beds could be a bit less firm. And by a bit I mean a while lot.

Convenient location! What a adorable quant beach resort. Definitely could use some TLC though!

Great little place to stay. Feels more private than a hotel since you get your own little house with a room full kitchen with stove and fridge. A little old smell but great for the price...

Great place!! My family loved it! Very safe and quiet! The owners are really nice!

The room is clean with much older furnishings but ok for the price of 55 a night. My biggest complaint is roaches; it was as if we were in Joes Apartment. On a positive note, you would worry about bed bugs in a lower end motel like this but, no worries about that because I havent seen one.

Dont waste your time. We had cabin number 16 it smells like mildew, there were ants crawling on the bed and the floors. Dont let the bolstered ratings fool you these are one star at best and thats being very gracious. If youre looking for old musty and frightening this is for you. There was some creepy possibly naked man in the unit behind us he had me scared enough that I wouldnt let my seventeen-year-old out of my sight.

This place is horrible, you aren’t aloud to sit outside or have guest visit you or be around the pool sitting. You pay so much to be inside all the time I wouldn’t recommend it

I enjoyed me and my husbands stay @ Lake Ida Resorts. I can truly say that its cozy and private and a warm peaceful atmosphere, not like a motel/hotel experience. It could use a little restorative work, and Wi-Fi update but I highly recommend the Lake Ida Resorts.

Place needs to be updated staff or owners could be more friendly but for the price and room was clean i give a 3

Very clean, friendly service and quiet. I read some reviews about the lake but people should really think about it being florida and none of our lakes here are really swimmable so dont expect activities in the little lake here. Everything is close to this resort shopping, food, Legoland, nightclubs/bars...

Talked with the owner, a west Indian fellow, over the phone. When we got there the place was extremely homely and run down. We were told that we can have a room for a week like I wanted for a little over 400 on the phone. When I got there he said that they only have one room with a full size bed and wouldnt be enough room for the three of us (husband, wife and 4 year old child). I even told them my wife and child have not slept in 17 hours and that I just want a room for them. We were looked at as aliens and literally turned down. When I looked around, there were haitians and Jamaicans around. I dont know if it were racism or poor common sense but my family was turned away after traveling 20 miles out of the way to their location. The only explanation given to me was the size of the bed would not accommodate us. Im not angry. I work hard for my money and I took my money elsewhere.

Mold buildings but clean.more of a pond than a lake.all in all it ws a good experience

Cottages are old and in need of updating. Yet its a rather charming and remote alternative to standard hotels with a nice lakeside view.

Management is way too nosey, and very quick to tell and not ask you to leave there motel.For 65.00 dollars a night, definitely NOT WORTH IT.

TERRIBLE! We get there and the owner comes banging on our door accusing us of having a dog, which we did not and then charged our card $150.00 for accusing us of smoking because they saw cigar paper in the trash! We actually went out by the lake and smoked! Rude from the beginning! Not worth the stay!

Nasty place . Are room had roaches and lizards kept coming inside are room from a hole in the bathroom . Stove was dirty and bed sheets was nasty and the room was very smelly please do not waist your time or money on this place .

I did not stay here but seen it online so I called a man answered barley spoke English and when I told him 4 kids 2 adults he said I dont have and hung up on me.

Good area, friendly people, but rooms need extensive cleaning and major upgrade.

Service is ok and rooms are clean. Wi-Fi is crappy even on the repeater.

The hosts of the hotel resort are great, they are so nice and make me feel important. Many appliances near the car port area, could use some landscaping. So convenient to have all supplies/dishes in the cottages, lovely lake view.

We love a nice mom and pop motel and these little cottages were very nice really clean and actually pretty quiet.. I would of given it perfect grade but the beds were just a little to stiff for our taste.. but if you like firm this is for you..close to food and shopping .. if ever in the area and you like a classic motel this is the place .. I liked the fact they actually give you a real key.. plenty of hot water .

I like it here. I like having everything in one cabin all I need right there. Property could use some tlc with all the appliances and the landscaping could enhance the look. Power washing the cement steps would do wonders

For the money it wasn’t bad. They claimed to have a patio area with a grill, this isn’t true. They also say they have laundry, what they have is a scary run down shed with broken down, rusty, nasty washers and dryers that no way I would use if they even work. Most of the units are used by people that live there all the time and the neighborhood is pretty scary in itself.

First when we check in it was so hot inside because air conditioner wasnt on and took over 8 hours to cool down so we had to go get a fan to circulate the air. They shouldve had ac running 2-3 hours before people checked in. Also air conditioner was so loud and told the owner and he replace to new one. Other than that it was cute small place to stay for the cost.

Very nice and quiet! It stormed the 1 day we were there and the cable went out! Refrigerator not cold at all! Other than that it was worth the money!
