I went with my wife to see DIVAS Drag Show. We loved the show! Lots of good performances both musical and comic. The drinks and appetizers were pretty good but get your meal elsewhere. The club sandwich was assorted cold cuts, soft bacon and mayo on white bread. At least toast the bread or add some lettuce to give some kind of texture! We will be back when DIVAS return though.

Had a great time with friends on Saturday at the Comedy Murder Mystery Show. Ive been to the venue before and it never disappoints with excellent entertainment. That being said... the food is okay, the drinks needed more ice (water kept being brought with no ice), and they needed few more servers to handle the large crowd. Will definitely go again!

Nice venue, intimate setting. Be aware that when you order the $10 club sandwich its worse than school lunch. It really was the kind of sandwich I would make myself in 5th grade (didnt even have lettuce). Dont go hungry and you should have a good time.

Nice place to catch a show. Comedians are pretty good. Wish it was more handicapped accessible, as most shows are on the second floor (I have to use a cane). All-in-all a nice place with good appetizers.

Live, live, live this little gem of a place. Stand up comedy in a smaller room, so the comedians really interact with the audience. It is the best place to go for date night after dinner!

The venue is great, intimate east view of stage, great sound. service was great, only recommendation add more food items/small plates please. would have loved to have eaten here. That was the plan but didnt preview menu, which is very limited so we passed. Food that passed us looked good, but menu very limited. Still, will be going back for other shows. Great little gem in Winchester!

I went to one of the murder mystery dinners this past weekend. The tables were tiny and wobbly. It was four people to a table and it was not good for cutting up food. The food was ok, it was from a caterer. Good portions, the taste just wasnt there. The seating started at 4:30 and the show was till 8pm. My drink was filled once the entire time. The bathrooms were neat and clean. The staff was nice. It was just odd we had to pay using an iPad type thing and I had to wait over 15 minutes to pay because after the show no ones checks had been taken care of. Id definitely give it another shot... maybe they were having an off night.

Amazing small indoor venue with a bar and food.

What a great experience!!!!! Love that its Black Box Theater style. Saw a ROCKING rock band. At intermission visited a neighboring/connected business who could not hear any of the drum or bass or crowd. Staff was attentive and communicated well considering the volume. Definitely will come back soon--great monthly line-up of events displayed throughout the venue. Something for ALL ages and price ranges! Great date night option! Does serve appetizers, food, and alcohol.

I really enjoy going to Bright Box... Nothing better than a good band in a small atmosphere and some cold drinks. It is especially nice that when you leave you dont feel like your eardrums have been damaged. I plan on more visits in the future.

Attended the Shenandoah University Edge Ensemble (new music) performance. Eclectic and lively. Many of the composers of the performance pieces were there. Bright Box always has excellent shows. Food and beverage service is available.

The upstairs lounge space is a hidden gem! Its an exciting but cozy atmosphere, and everyone was so friendly. Dueling pianos is a fun experience, especially for those who enjoy singing along to fun renditions of nostalgic music.

Because it was a great experience loved the Jack Dunlop band we saw there. It was our first time to Bright Box Theater.

Absolutely loved this venue! I visited back in January to see a show and was very impressed! The service was wonderful, we had a young guy. His name is escaping me. He was very attentive and funny. Management even checked on us which is always pleasent. The band was wonderful, cost wasnt too bad,and the sound was top notch. Everything you want from a small music venue!

This is a great venue in a small town. The sound for the show we saw (Hackensaw Boys) was awesome. Beer was pricy (expected at concert) and selection lacking and food...well it was not good, but the show was cool and the little town it is in is fun! I would go back...I would just eat first :)

I am reviewing for comedy night, which is on the last weekend of ever month. We had an amazing time. Didnt have any food but the drinks are decent and the atmosphere is awesome. If I come through Winchester again I will be stopping here for some entertainment.

Awsome i loved it, i absolutely enjoyed ever minute of the show. My self and four of my co workers attended the Drag Show. Only flaw is my $8 drink was more like a $1 drink from Mc Donalds not even a splash of alcohol its like i ordered orange pineapple juice with a lemon an lime garnish, My friend ordered top shelf on the rocks it was watered down.

If you are looking for a great time, this is the place. Great music acts and events every week. They have a good beer selection (there is a brewery upstairs) and the food is good. The seating intimate yet ample. First come first serve for seating.

Setting was perfect. Staff efficient, attentive and very pleasant. Food was quite good. The fountain drinks and alcoholic drinks were very good. The comedy group engaging and fun.

Dont go hungry. It took an hour to get my food and a mixed drink from downstairs, and that was after I asked the bartender what was up and she grabbed a server to expedite. The food was mediocre and the mixed drink was very weak.The band we saw was lovely, and the venue itself is very intimate upstairs. It was clean and welcoming. Ill go back, but I wont be ordering more than a soda.

They have some really good drinks but its a small venue.

My hubby and i went here to see nappy roots. Nappy roots is a famous group from back in the day. They still are famous now. We had so much fun here. Its in the downtown historical area as well

Nice venue for people who like small, intimate settings. Both upstairs and downstairs are very nice. Downstairs has a club like feel, upstairs feels more like a prohibition era speakeasy.I have only eaten there once and cant remember what I had. Not cheap to drink there either.

Fantastic experience, hosted a party for about 35 people and they took care of all the details and made our event a huge success. The attention to detail from all the staff was amazing. The venue is great and the upstairs banquet/party area is so nice, we had a great buffet style dinner and the private bar kept the party going. Will definitly have our next event here!!!

I great place for the performing arts.

The Bright Box is a wonderful small venue for music and performance. It is large enough not to feel packed but small for intimate performances. New performers travel to this location weekly. Comedians, instrumentalists, rock bands and more perform here.

Gallagher is known for smashing food so we were very excited to be able to see him in Winchester. We bought our tickets for the 6pm show... same price as the later show. No mention at all of the shows being any different. We bought our ponchos because we knew what Gallagher is all about. To say the least we were extremely disappointed when Gallagher only smashed one watermelon. Gallagher stated the city of Winchester would only allow one watermelon since their was a show afterwards and someone could trip.When we were leaving we asked the Bright Box manager if that was true that the city would not allow him to smash anything else and the manager said “No... Gallagher doesn’t smash things anymore because of his 4 heartattacks”. So imagine my surprise when my friend went to the later show and he smashed the entire table of food. I contacted Bright Box to give them a chance to make this right. They never stated any where that all the food smashing would be at the later showing... if they had said that NOONE would have come to the 6pm show and they knew that so they thought lieing was the best way to handle this... they also refused to apologize or make it right in any way. This place is not a stand up business at all. I will never go back here... all the care about is a buck! Shame on you Bright Box.. you owe refunds to every single Gallagher show that missed out on this!
