My daughter competed with USAG gymnastics for many years (level 7) and came to CEA’s highest cheer level team (level 4) they had to offer that would come close to her skill level. We paid for the whole season’s competition fees, uniform fees and accessories at beginning of season. She was committed to the tumbling class and cheer classes. One by one, teammates left. Practices were disorganized. Routines were constantly changed without any practice to get them right in time for competition. They lost miserably week after week. The team felt defeated competition after competition because they were not ready to compete. After 5 competitions, my daughter hopped into the car after practice and announced that CEA was lowering all of them down to a level 3 so they have a shot at winning. We committed to level 4, not level 3. And, instead of helping them become stronger at level 4, they wanted to take the easy way out to win. This is not a competitive gym that works hard for the kids. They expect the kids to be committed while the owner and coaches change the rules. My daughter is learning about valuing her time and not reducing her standard to someone else’s lack of responsibility and made the decision to leave. I am writing this review to warn future families. Do your research! I wish I had.
