I have been going there for a couple years now, and Ive never had anything to really complain about. People are pretty nice, and its laid back. Taco Tuesday night offers great prices from 6 to 8.

I thought it had good food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. The fried chicken ranch melt was great! Please note: this is a smoking bar.

Went for karaoke night. The DJ was good, and had all the songs me and my group wanted to sing. Food was okay, nothing special. I would give a better review, but for me personally, I dont enjoy bars that allow indoor smoking. It made us leave earlier. I know others dont care, but just a warning for those who do. If you dont mind it, then its a good place to go.

Been a while since I was there but things were nicer and the pool tables played great as usual.

So I have only ever been to the Blue Fox on two separate occasions. On this outing I had no idea that the pool hall was separate from the stage area, and my server Asia made sure I got my door fee returned to me cause I was only there to play pool and, enjoy some beer. Her Manger was very nice and returned my door fee. I will definitely be coming back because the Blue Fox knows how to take care of new clients. So if you are planning on going out for the night to enjoy yourself while playing pool and downing some brew I will absolutely recommend this establishment, and if I may, ask for Asia! She is very friendly and sweet. Also 1$ jello shooters!!!!!!!

When here the night before my two friends got married. Nice dive bar with amazing bands. The night we went had one of the best bands Ive heard in a long time at a bar.Pretty much had pitches of beer with my friends so could not give you a review on mixed drinks nevertheless friendly bartender and waitstaff.There was a cover at the door $10, if youve read my reviews before you know Im not a fan of a cover charge at a bar but in this case I will make an exception.The audio engineer that was running the sound that night definitely knew what he was doing the sound was crisp and had drive not muddy at all. Great job man!

Pool tables were ok, drinks were good, but it was very very expensive.

The best. One of only a few venues built around consistently staging great bands. Great food, great pool tables, sound system, lighting, and legit stage. Bartenders and staff are all welcoming and take good care of their guests. Awesome.

Your menu says to ask a server about dessert options but I was sadly informed that there are no desserts. I was really hoping for something sweet to follow my dinner. If you wont offer any dessert options then I highly suggest that you remove it from your menu.

My favorite nightclub in all of Northern Virginia for watching some of the Regions best rock bands perform. It is also a fantastic place to shoot pool, with dozens of tables on the other side of the establishment. They have an extensive menu that is moderately priced and the food is excellent. All around great place to visit when you are in Winchester. It is a casual and moderately priced venue.I have met many friends there and will return every time Im back in the area.

The bar girls were all very friendly awesome place to just chill and shoot some pool.

Food is pretty tasty, drinks were strong, music is usually great & the staff went above & beyond to find us a pool table when there were no open tables.

Pros- staff is polite, prices are good, pool tables are nice and level.Cons- two of the four items we asked for on menu was not available, fried food tasted burnt like old grease, Dj played bass so loud you could not hear the songs well and speakers sounded horrible with that much bass, stage area reminds me of a cheap strip club.

Awesome place to eat and listen to bands.

Suprisingly, the rather plain nondescript outside of the building doesnt do justice to the inside. Clean, well lit Billiards area with at least a dozen pool tables. Separate bar area is nice with a stage for a band and or DJ. Tables set up for beer pong and while I didnt try the menu, the dishes coming out of the kitchen seem - looked good. Service was great and prices reasonable. Crowd was most 20-30ish while I was there but Im told it can vary depending on the entertainment. Id would definitely go back.

Great for music and drinks. - 5 stars Sucks if you want to breathe and not smell like an ash tray and in need of a shower when you go home. - 1 star - They do a great service to the area for booking bands and charitable/memorial shows. Staff is always top notch. Pool specials rock. Have never had the food, but I hear its decent as well. Definitely worth checking out, so long as you dont have breathing issues. If you have asthma, allergies or cystic fibrosis, stay away. If you smoke, youll be pleased to not have to freeze outside in the winter to do so.

Cool place to play pool and listen to music. They have live events which are cool too. Wish they had more events going on with comedy or improv shows. I think they should appeal to a larger audience then the one that they do.

I went there for the first time in years, met a guy to play pool with, they gave him his money back, somehow he left and I had to pay for his drinks...never oked it and they kept my ID and never gave it back when I paid $100 in tabs, which on $48 where mine. I live 40 mins away. And now have to go back to get my ID and still had to pay for some random guys pool tab and drinks. Thanks.

I have been to this billiards and bar several times to meet different people. Each time it is basically the same. If you get there anytime after 9 or 10 p.m., especially on a Friday or Saturday night, youll find an atmosphere full of vulgar language and illicit drug use. I cannot tell you how many times I have smelled marijuana in the parking lot or gone into the bathroom to find several grown men sharing onr small stall. People openly talk about their drug use while youre playing pool. I could care less about the marijuana, but snorting lines in the bathroom gives the place a really trashy feel to it. So much potential is wasted

Came to practice some pool and was treated with excellent service during my entire time there. Will be returning soon!

Great place to come play pool, have some drinks and enjoy the bars atmosphere. They got a little something for everyone. From Karaoke to beer pong nights and fun dj nights on weekends. As well as local rock bands. I was just upset that my card got stuck in their atm machine one time and the staff acted really careless to help out with the problem. Told me they had to wait for Maintenance to come the next day to fix it. I was disappointed and it ruined my night a little bit. Had to go to bank the next day to get my card replaced. But overall its a fun place. Would give 5 stars if they had better customer service with their atms.

Came from Canada and heard nothing but good things. Decided to go and check it out to play some pool. Tuesdays are free pool night which my girlfriend and I did not know about but was awesome! It was also trivia night as well and that was a blast too! Highly recommended if youre looking for a good time with friends.

Wasnt overly impressed free pool on Sunday seemed dead waitress was nice but perhaps bored.but i guess id rather have too inventive then to be ignored food/drinks seemed limited and not the best everything just needed a little more of something to be good

After spending many nights there with work friends..I happen to choose to spend my birthday there with a bunch of friends. The DJ with whom i know very well offered to pay for my drinks on my birthday since we are friends prior to this establishment I later was told after that night they wouldnt allow him to pay my tab after he tried to pay it then i went back the following day and paid my tab even though I was disappointed and couldnt understand the reason behind this to find out that I am not allowed back because of an unpaid tab that I came back in and paid. It was unprofessional as well because I had to find this out through a text message that a bouncer had told someone else to text me and let me know this. After the money I have spent there and brought my friends to the outcome of being treated the way I was was extremely unfair and very negligent the way this was handled. Thank goodness this is far from the only bar in winchester. Dont recommend it.

Had wings and A beer. No service. Hot wings were dull at best. Both bartenders are to busy Gossiping to take Care of customers. Had to get there attention just to pay up. NO communication with customers. Not good. Dont go there.

If it was Non-smoking Id give it a 5. We were skeptical when we got there, the place seemed run down some, but we (8 of us) had walked down from the Red Roof Inn at their suggestion for good chow. The place seems more like a Club than a restaurant, and the joint was pretty much empty at 8 PM on a Friday, but the service was great and the food was excellent. Bet it rocks at late night.

Its very Smokey in this place. I can hardly breath. Id try another pool room personally. If you like excitement however there is a small bar/club where you can see some interesting characters...

3 stars for the diamond tables. 1/2 a star for the felt. They dont take good care of it. Looks like it hasnt been replaced in 2 yrs. Blackened rails and all. Ive played on many tables in my time and Ive never seen felt this bad ever.

Seriously, this place is not 5 stars. Tables are worn out! You can see the slate under the table cloth. People walk around hammered hitting on girls who were clearly not interested and after the staff failed to get the guy away, the ladies left. I could not concentrate because there was a rock concert going on. The staff looks like they were part of Charlie Jasons cult. I saw at least two incidents where people almost fought. It was scary they were grown but they sounded like they were 16 in their minds, we left! All these great reviews are probably coming from locals who belong on the Jery Springer show. Needless to say it was a very dark night! If your visiting and middle class dont go there!

We attended for a Birthday Party that was booked in one of their rooms to be followed by Karaoke.We then found out at 9pm no Karaoke......exciting option a Trivia Quiz, most of the 30+ guests left who had been there eating & drinking since 6pm!A handful of us stayed several of us approached the guy who was doing the entertainment to try to get some dance music going for those of us left NO.....after the Trivia only....rules. He was obnoxious & rude.Customer feedback did not count.I then proceeded to speak to a Bar Man....he promised to do his best but failed to convince the entertainment guy we wanted some fun & an atmosphere....Bar Manager appeared not interested.When I left a 11 pm the quiz was half way through with just us in the bar who did not want to play.We even danced to the music clips in the quiz to try to get the message across.Take your friends & family elsewhere this place does not want to make your event fun.

I came here to see a concert. They were okay with us coming in and out of the room with the stage. If want to be close to the stage, come early and wait for doors to open by standing in line. If you dont care, grab a pool table and play a game or two. Their pool room is a great place to meet band members after they play on stage.The stage room is pretty small, so you are never too far from the stage. I really wish there was a tall guys in the back rule though. I am average height and felt like I was surrounded by basketball players. Thats just a consequence of small venue concerts.

This was our first time visiting this establishment. It is a pool hall and a bar and grill. The entire place is smoking. There is a small room and I believe it has one pool table in it for non-smoking. Almost every night has something special during the week. Today was Tuesday so they had Taco Tuesday where they had dollar tacos, Tipsy Tuesday to where they had drink specials and trivia Tuesday which they were running a trivia night. I believe that only went until 8 p.m. but it was a very cool experience. After trivia comes karaoke so we had to leave but their food was okay they had a dish called Irish nachos which were chunks of potato with cheese tomato jalapenos and a drizzle of sour cream served with ranch for $6.99. They had buffalo wings and I got 10 for $10 and they had a variety of flavorings for the wings we got standard Buffalo but they had one called stupid hot. we also got a hand full of tacos. They were very small but they were only a dollar and came with a Ramekin of salsa and a Ramekin of sour cream. We also got two pictures of PBR. It was only $7 each. Our total with a generous tip was $52. The wait staff was a little slow but it was crowded because of the trivia night, it was not oppressivly loud. All and all it seems like it could be a very good place to have a group dinner or just grab a drink. We most likely will return.

Its consistently fun. Jukebox and pool tables on one side, band stage on the other- sound is separated. Good crowd on the weekends with $ incentives to get folks in on the weekdays. Food decent, tables & cues straight enough :) (Yuck though-you reek of cig. smoke after leaving)Thumbs up. Cmon, check it out !

Can you beat Pop Evil right in your face? Thats the best part of this venue, seeing a national act or a great local band up close and personal. Its has to be one of the best music venues around!

I served in the military and have played in so many pool halls bar and grills. Do not, I say again, do not believe any of these reviews I was approached by 2 different groups of people interfered in my pool playing. TIED to start fights, never said a word to anyone, I was alone and at that point I realized I had to leave. I would not recommend this club to anybody. People there look like they should be in prison. Have instructed everybody in my command not to go there.

Tables are packed together, unfortunately allows smoking, music is deafening. Service was decent, food was creative. Apparently I only review in three word phrases.

RIveara was fantastic tonight! What a treat for Winchester. Blue Fox definitely should have them back soon
