An excellent introduction to the life of a Swedish family and what they would have as they settled in America. The many different items in the collection we explained. It was most interesting to see and touch Flax as we was being processed and then the final cloth.

Absolutely fantastic! A must see if youre anywhere around New York/DC and interested in Swedish history, especially if youre from Sweden as I am. Of course you have to take the tour which is only 5 USD. We had a great and enthusiastic guide (Kyle) who told us about the church and the Swedish colony. Personally I have to say without a doubt this was one of the best and most interesting Ive experienced anywhere in USA.

After 3 years of living in Wilmington we finally made it here! Our tour guide Kyle was very informative, knowledgeable and excited to talk about the history here. He gave a wonderful one hour tour for only $5 a piece! A hidden gem in Wilmingtons history that should not be missed.

Amazing piece of old American history. When I went there was a friendly guide who gave me a tour for five bucks. Its in a bit of a rough part of town, though.

So freaking cool.Beautiful graveyard with so much history. Inside, my friend booked us a tour, and I learned so much about its roots, and got to see the replica house. Afterwards, we headed to the church, which even as an atheist is absolutely awe-inspiring. The design and layout is just lovely. The tour ended with ringing the bell. How neat!

Dont come here. Three things. 1. Their website claims the offer tours. Their website lies, they dont. Its a self guided pamphlet. 2. The church is next to a human waste sewage treatment plant and the smell will stick to your clothes and linger in you car well after youre gone. 3. And lastly, and least important to me personally but of note to other people, this church is in a really rough part of town. Lock your doors and only go during the day time. Tourist trap. Take a pass.

Hendrickson House is a must tio see if you want to know the history of how a Swedish household was held some 250 years ago.

So excited to learn Delawares history is tied back to Sweden & Dutch settlers. Amazing!
