Its small, old, cash only and unreliable...but the only option in Williston. I can deal with it being small, old and cash only... But when the power goes out mid showing and it takes 15 minutes to fix, only to be restarted at a different spot than where you left off, thats kind of ridiculous. The popcorn is good, saving it from being a 1 star. An offered refund would have drastically effected the rating as well.

An oldie but a goodie. It is not like Williston has many choices but even for the age of the facility, the historical aspects is what makes this place great. Great sound and screen quality are top notch as well.

It has great charm and it also helps that its the only theater in the williston area. Youre kinda forced to come here in a way which normally would sound bad but the place has a great retro feel to it. Only problem I had was the seats tbh theyre a little small and it can get quite packed in there.

Very outdated, not many options for snacks, kinda smelled inside the theater. Tickets and snacks were very over priced. I come from a big city with very nice theaters with hot meals, drinks, and waiter service and their prices are cheaper than this outdated place. Water started leaking on me from the ceiling during the movie and had to move 3 times because of it. Told the manager on the way out who said it was normal. Their way of fixing it was to turn off the AC.

I wont be going to this one again. Crummy and outdated to begin with, but very unhappy with the service. My kid was so excited to see Endgame so we went. It was like a nursery in there, infants and toddlers noisy throughout the movie. When I complained the theater refused to do anything about it. Thank you for being rude and ruining what should have been a fun experience.

We drove from Sidney, arrived at the theater to see Breakthrough and paid for tickets then were told it was up a flight of 15 stairs. That doesnt work for us because my fiance is in a wheelchair and cannot walk. Avengers was playing in the theater on the main floor but that is not the movie we went there to see. Our money was returned to us but was very disappointing that there isnt an elevator to make it accessible.

Saw a movie in their main theater was clean, good sound for the movie, and decent size screen for a small town. Was cash only for the movie $10.50 They had an atm in the theater not sure the charge I had cash. Seats where in good repair looked fairly new and comfy not super plush but not getting poked by old seats like some theaters I have been in before.

Not what I expected, the name kind of made me believed it would have been grand but it wasnt at all. We sat at the back that was near to the door, people keep coming in n out. This place is old and rundown. Its very small. In my opinion its overpriced. The only thing that I truly like about this place is the fact that they have a little separate family room where you can go with your kids so that they dont disturb everybody else in the theater. Nice enough staff but the place is dirty and sticky. The movie was way too loud. I like great sound in movies and music but loud doesnt mean good. We left after ten minutes because of the ear shattering volume. Didnt bother asking for a refund. $25 bucks for three of us at 1pm, bit pricey for a matinee. Popcorn was fine by popcorn standards but the soda was so gross after one sip I tossed it. They dont know how to mix it right and obviously dont taste it for quality control.

I love the fact that we have a movie theatre in town. I have enjoyed my experience here every time. But then again, I go for the family time and memories with my kids, I wont judge the experience solely on the price of popcorn. That being said, I do think updates could be made, and prices of snacks and drinks could be lower, but lets face it, prices are close to the same at all the theatres Ive ever been to.* I am grateful that we have a theatre.

The theater was clean and cool on a very hot July day - I went to a matinee. The employees were friendly. Prices are what is to be expected at the movies, nowadays, especially the concessions. How disrespectful to all the loyal customers can you be? This place is in need of a TOTAL/COMPLETE renovation and makeover. Yes, we movie lovers are grateful to have a theater that shows first-run movies. But it is high time to upgrade your facilities. You have a loyal base of customers already, can you imagine if you invested into your business and brought the areas main theaters into the 21st century? Your clientele would double if not triple. It has long been a topic of intense discussion how much it wouldbenefit the area to have a theater to be proud of in an area where there is literally a minimum of options for things to do too much of the time. You, the owners have completely disregarded and ignored the needs and desires of your customer base. Ask yourself this, if there was another option or a competitor in town how long would you be able to stay in business status quo? Its not fair to thousands and thousands and thousands of individuals up and down western North Dakota. Shame on you.

Popcorns always fresh. Staff is always great. I would have given it a five star if they got 3d movies every once in a while. Why they dont have Alita: Battle Angel in 3D blows my mind. They have the capability, they just dont do it for some reason. Even if you charged us a couple bucks more, they are well worth it... I mean... we are in Williston. Moneys not an issue. Plus theres already nothing much to donin this town. Might as well try to make the best experience out of it, dontcha think?

Bring cash. It must be tough for a business to get a credit card machine in 2015. Definitely harder than getting an ATM with a $3.00 surcharge. I paid 13.50 to watch a movie in a closet. Also, take your vitamin C before going, Im pretty positive I contracted scurvy.

Sh
Review №62

Keep in mind it is an old building, if you sit in the back and your movie is low in volume on that particular scene, and the movie next door is loud, you arent able to hear your movie so Id recommend sitting center toward the front. My major complaint would be its CASH ONLY!!!!The line to the ATM was longer than the line to the movies!

jo

Its an OK theatre for a small town, popcorn is good, soda tasty and prices reasonable. Drawbacks are its Cash only because they dont want to raise prices they said.. So instead of paying and extra buck or two you pay three dollars to use their ATM, Yay low prices.. Also its really small and cramped at the entrance.

Its really just ok. They have first run movies at insane prices, and concessions at equally jacked cost. the newer theaters seem unfinished and skimped. the older theaters have the potential to be fantastic art nouveau showpieces but instead seem run down.So basically if you really want to see a movie, its a place to do that. expect nothing else.

Horrible theater experience. Old run down buildings. No credit card payment. Poor sound proofing and awful parking. The only thing they have in their favor is the two locations close to each other meaning more screens. The practice of having expensive third party atms in the lobby for credit card users just shows they are only interested in profit and not customer service. The lobbys are tiny, old out dated restrooms that are in need of serious remodel. These people should have built the new theater they mulled over a few years ago, but instead they chose to stay put and squeeze every penny out of the existing location

Not sure what just happened but my daughter and I arrived at the movies 30 minutes late to watch the Nun. We figured we had missed about 15 minutes of the show with credits and all. We approached the counter to pay but realized I didnt have enough cash. I was told the atm was right around the corner in the other room. While I was at the atm located inside the theater the movie attended yelled out to me that the manager just called and said no one could go into the movie 30 minutes late. Not sure howbthe manager knew we were there. I asked why and I was told she didnt ask why. As we were leaving another couple was coming into to watch predator which started at 1630 (4:30). By this time it was now 1656 (4:56).Not sure why they were allowed to watch there move which they were 26 minutes late for and we were only 30 minutes late. Either way the customer service was horrible and Im not sure if it is because we are brown and the other couple was white. I will never spend my money where me or my family are not welcomed. You would think that if you fight for your country you should never see these injustices. Thanks for ruining my daughters evening.Kind Regards,Antoine Wright

The line you have to wait for to get a soda is 20 minutes minimum and piles people 60 deep in each lane. They need to dedicate one side to popcorn and drinks and the other just candy and drinks. The wait is appalling and is usually why I will just find the movie online even if its terrible quality. Sitting in the main theater is pretty annoying experience as I had a tall guy sit in front of me and his head was in the whole movie the whole time. This is due to the seating being way too close together and you can hardly get out if you need to leave. Im pretty positive I elbowed at least six people trying to get the the restroom. And the bathrooms are so small youre practically forced to stand with no privacy.

Can I give a half-star? Both theatres are dirty and run by immature kids that cannot count your change back or get your total amount correct (most of the time). The seats are broken, sound system is older than most of my wrinkles, way overpriced (12 dollar tickets) for such a horrible atmosphere. What I mean is the there are multiple showings packed into a shed (yes I wrote shed..its that small ppl) that can only hold one screen. The place just plain sucks and I was enlisted in the Army, so Ive seen my fair share of movie theatres, and this one is by far is one of the worst Ive had the privilege of using. Some may ask why use it then, and say its because the good theatres are over 2 hours away.
