Great trail! Long enough and short enough for both myself and my two boys boys who are 6 and 3 years old. They loved it!
This quiet park on earthen mounds of history suits Williamsburg well. Ones first reaction is that the park is nice. Then the combination of subtle beauty combined with the magnitude of historical significance conjures feelings of wonder while staring at Quarterpath road and imagining the cast of historic figures that have walked and ridden the lane in centuries past.
Beautiful park. Great place to take a short hike or walk.
Personal preference; I thought it to be very small and not worth going out of the way to visit. Maintained very well though, as all Virginia parks seem to be.
History is important!! This out of the way park has played an interesting part in history
Cool park if you like to hike
Super cool park in Williamsburg with lots of history. We hiked the mile long trail (.5 in and .5 out) to redoubt #2 with our dog this past weekend. It wasnt anything too strenuous but wasnt a flat walk either. There are some stairs and its a bit hilly but not bad. Im not sure Id call it moderately difficult like the sign posted says. We wished the trail were a little longer but still enjoyed it!
Quaint little place......close to downtown....well kept.
It’s just an okay trail ^_^ the paved section is very short maybe a nice short 10min walk (maybe less) ^_^ the turtle trail was longer. Only thing was there were a few trees down that we had to duck under or hop over.
Pretty and Peaceful
Lots of exposed roots
Very nice historical park with a short but moderately difficult trail. Well worth a visit if you enjoy civil war history...
