It was great to be back, but theres something surreal about going to a theater and being the only customers there. The crew on duty was a bit rusty, and the popcorn couldve been fresher. Other than that, everything was fine.
This is the destination for a wide variety of shopping and restaurant selections. When your a bit tired from all the fun walk about, you can enjoy a tremendous experience at the beautiful frog fountain. It is then a short hop skip and jump to their 5 star theatre for popcorn and first rate movies! All in all a must experience day outing in Williamsburg, Va.
Place has been shut down for quite some time now as the company struggles to keep it going. I’m gonna miss this place and I sure hope another company buys it soon! Of course once another company buys it, the red sign that lights up the whole street will be changed and we’ll...it just won’t be the same...
The walls are so thin that the sounds from other theaters bleed through. Picture is nice though- chairs are comfortable. Concession is always pricey at every theater now and this location is no exception
Good variety of movies shown here with 12 individual movie rooms. They have 3D capability with Frozen 2 playing in 3D at the moment. Seating comfortable. Only negative is 25 min of trailers and advertising before the actual movie starts (e.g. posted start time 6:45pm movie started 7:12pm).
This movie theater is a bit on the older side. Nothing too special. Never a full house, so if you like being able to see a movie the day it comes out, this is a good place to go. Very close to some good places to eat and shop, with alot of parking around back.
Great location in the heart of Williamsburg. Concessions are definitely on the expensive side, but the theaters are well kept, clean, and have comfortable seats. Over all, a nice place to catch a movie.
Abominable is great family fun for all ages including smallest of children or adults. An amazingly well written story with positive meaning and thoughtfulness in abundance. No gratuitous violence or bad humor - just full of heart and an ending which touches the audience deeply. You will love it!
Decent staff seating is kind of uncomfortable and price on drinks and snacks are fairly expensive. But sound and picture quality is excellent. On whole nice and courteous folks makeup for the short comings
Nice clean theater. I sat on the top row and had plenty of room to stretch my legs. I have a Regal Pass so I was able to see two different movies back-to-back
Its a good place to see the movies. Seats are always clean looking and its a movie theater after all so yeah the snacks are a but pricey and the floors are not always super clean but all in all its a solid place to go. Its where I go anyways
The box office was closed and we had to buy our tickets at the consession stand from a disinterested worker who we interrupted from her private conversation in public. We then purchased our tickets to The Joker. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS FILM! We bought corn dog bites which even at their price was the best part of the experience. I cannot review the process of getting ones money back, because we chose to stick it out though the film.
Been here many times. Friendly staff, lots of restrooms, clean theaters, and lots of candy to pick from. Never had a problem when watching a film. No mishaps or issues with either the film or audio. Busy but never crowded. Candy prices may be high but, to be honest, candy prices are ALWAYS high in a movie theater.
The theater is HUGE. In a nice location. The theater isnt as new as you might think and is starting to show its age. Yet its still a 5 star theater in my opinion. The kids at the concession stand, however, bring the rating down. They new a good fire lit under their butt! They were more unruly than the guests!Ill go back, but only during the week for a matinee.
Loved Bombshell. The actors were amazing and told quite the story of Mr.Ailes. I only wish he couls have faced his accusers. Well done folks.
Save your money. Its sad because this was the theater I grew up coming to throughout middle and high school. The facilities are not well kept, staff if not well trained, and it is overpriced. I assume it will close soon or be bought by another company because it desperately needs new management and better seats.
Comfortable seats but many were very squeaky which can be very distracting during movies. A little WD-40 would make for a better experience. Many people were shuffling around trying other seats to find some that werent loud.
This is your typical movie theater, so come in with tempered expectations. Average seating, expensive concessions, but that is all to be expected. The places is clean, and staff has been courteous, in my experience. Theres nothing new to the formula here, and thats alright.
I was in Theatre 5 on January 2 to watch the 7:00pm show of Star Wars. It was freezing cold inside. I wore my gloves, a warm woolen scarf and a winter coat, but my arms legs and feet were disturbingly cold throughout. When walking out to the car, it felt warmer outside than I had been inside.
Great picture and sound but some theaters smell like a high school gymnasium. The seats squeak alot. The theater needs a makeover.
Great customer service, comfy seats, good popcorn! Great movie selections, we love the $5 Tuesdays
Regal New Town in Williamsburg, VA is a wonderful theatre. Its always clean, and the people are very friendly. Love the Tuesday 2/2 price days, and the Regal Crown Reward discounts as well on food. The theatre chairs are comfy, and I love that they sponsor faith-based movies here! Hats off to Regal New Town!!
I stand by all my reviews but this one hurts. I want to like it! Outdated. They need to step up their game. Competitor theaters do it better. Much better.
Went to see Rise of Skywalker today but I’ve been here many times. Good theatre, good staff, high prices (just bring your own food) otherwise great overall.
Very nice theater!
Theaters have always been clean. Staff is very friendly. Great location for a movie theater.
That place is a good place to go on a first date where to watch Minnie different options of movies some would be better than others inside maybe worse I hope you understand why you choose a five out of five I see that because when I went to go there I want to watch Frozen 2 and it was awesome so thats why I aint giving it a five out of five I hope you understand thank you
So we are waiting to buy tickets to see Harriet and the manager gas shut the box office down forcing people to buy tickets in the concession line. The concession line is selling food, NOT JUST TICKETS. Spoke to the manager who said too bad, so sad if you dont want to stand in line leave for buy tickets online. My mom, who is paying, has cash. Asked is she would be willing to open a line for tickets amdcshe refused. Some service!!!poor customer service. Will never go here again
Regal is not a bad place to watch a movie, especially with someone you want to go with. The theatres are kinda small, but it is a very cozy and comfy theatre.
Nice theater but they need reclining seats.
Great Staff, but I ordered a medium soda and the bottom of the styrofoam broke open and it spilled on the rug just past concessions, then while drinking it in the theater it broke again and my son and I got soda spilled on us. I know making money is a priority but that cheap cup is not worth the purchase, and it also shows no regard for the environment.
While I realize the prices of most items are usually high, the problem I had at your theater was the popcorn. Drinks fine. Candy fine. Overall environment fine. But the popcorn, not so much. Its not fresh. Its stuff bought in bulk pre-popped. That no where near tastes like traditional movie theater popcorn. Wouldnt be that big of a deal if it didnt cost that much to begin with. And while I wouldnt mind going to your link you provided for customer care, I have previously, and they said there wasnt anything they really could do.
Wish they sold beer, nice place though
This theater is very nice and clean. Only wish they had the comfy reclining leather seats to watch the movie in.
Nice clean place. The chairs recline.
Great place to go to the movies hope to get there a lot more than I have been able to right now
Nice place. Pretty good parking, decent seats, but not great.
Concessions was quick. I have unlimited, so I skipped the lines and moved straight thru.
Usual movie theater agendas - inflated concessions, inflated ticket prices so the masses can be entertained for 2 hours. Place was as excpected. We should all be ashamed of ourselves for paying $15 for a coke and small bag of popcorn. Meh, I live to overpay.
Comfortable seats, good sound system, adequate snacks, horribly sticky floor
Worst ever theater. Seat tiny, I feel like on am on an airplane, and open all around so your stuff falls through. No Recliners so totally upright. Again worse sits ever. Will NOT come back.
The days of being able to breeze into this theater 5 minutes before the show begins seem to be over since management closed the box office. Tickets are now purchased at the concession stand. Each transaction (ticket plus concession purchase) takes FOREVER. Today, the theater had two major movies on board (Harriet and Motherless Brooklyn); I arrived at 12:20 for a 1:00 showing of Harriet, waited in line for 30 minutes, watched as the only two employees moved at snails paces, gave up and, as the line simply was not moving, left. I gave the money I would have spent at the movies to the nice folks down the street at Plow and Hearth. OBTW, with long lines and no ticket takers, folks appear to be skipping the lines and just walking into the auditoriums with no tickets. Movie Tavern, here I come.
Go on Tuesdays with the free regal card. $5 a ticket can compensate for even just an *average* rated movie! ***** Extra Star for responding to my review. I like to be noticed. Qualiter theater I do recommend.
The management doesnt care.. They have given up. The place is filthy, the concession employees are rude. The bathrooms are disgusting the floors of the theater are sticky and the place smells. They served stale day old popcorn, the soda was flat. What a horrible experience.
The staff is always helpful, the popcorn is always delicious, the movies are usually fantastic. The rewards system is great, however I wish there was a way to earn rewards if you forget to put in your info! Its a hassle to bring your ticket stub up to the customer counter, especially when they have an app. I wish there was a way to upload a movie you see and receive the points without having to see the customer service counter.I love that you dont pay for a specific seat, you just pay and go in and pick whatever seats you want. However, the seats do not recline!
Nice theater, its clean and respectful staff.
This is my go-to movie theater when Im visiting Williamsburg. The seats are comfortable, and the stadium seating leaves enough room in the rows to move around. Staff members are cordial and efficient. This is a good place to see the latest blockbuster.I recommend getting a free Regal Rewards card, which you can use at any Regal theater. Youll quickly earn points for free concessions, and discounts.
Great time, nice theater a little more exspensive than my local theatre .
The service was good but the snacks cost more than the movie ticket
Nice clean theater makes a nice place to watch a movie.
No wait this time. The management has reopened the outside plaza box office to purchase admission tickets again rather than wait forever in the concession line for other people ahead of you purchasing admission and/or concession snacks.
Very nice theater. Reasonable price!
This is a decent theater. The theaters themselves are good, and the food is traditional fare. Nothing really stands out as great about it, but nothing bad either. The location is good, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance
Everything Is high priced at this location, everything! Smh, then sold me a hot dog that wasnt even hot it was room temperature from the drawer. Seats smelled bad, had to move. 2 Stars only because I enjoyed the movie itself.
Like the stadium seats, good sound, reasonable prices
So much fun. Wish the comfy chairs would recline. Perfect popcorn and loved the movie - Rocketman
One of the best Regal Ive ever been too enjoyed it so much
It was a1 always have a good time there ...
This is a great place to catch a flick.
Good spot for a movie if you don’t want to go to an upscale theater. Good for family trips.
I think that the Regal Cinemas in New Towne are a very nice cinema. I have always enjoyed the movies that I have seen at the Regal Cinemas in New Towne. Sometime I wish the price of the movie, and getting snacks were not so expensive, but I understand that the cost of going to the movies, and getting snacks have continually gone up through the years. Please dont take this has a complaint. I realize, and understand that all businesses have got to make a profit. Regardless of how much the movie cost, along with getting a snack that will not stop me from going to the movies when I can go.
The theater, to its credit, is always clean. In terms of technology, however, it lags behind other theaters. Some upgrades to the screens and sound system are in order to make the theater cutting edge again.
Its a good place to see good movies
We love going to this theater. Rarely are they over crouded.
We were running late to the 9:10 PM showing of Hotel Transylvania 2. We got there at 9:25 PM thinking that the movie had already started. To our surprise, it hadnt. It was still showing previews. We had time to buy popcorn and drinks. Make sure you buy some. It was the best popcorn we have ever had at a movie theater. The seats were comfortable if a little to upright. The location of this theater is great. You get the whole ambiance of Williamsburg.
Nice theater. Has all the amenities you expect. Non-sticky floors are a huge plus. Generic concessions could offer more variety at better prices.
Check-in with using app tickets quick and easy. Theater comfortable & clean. Snacks overpriced but which theaters arent
Im a fan of Regal New Town cinema. So much that Im going to purchase the Regal Unlimited subscription.
Nice and and only about five junior hip hop want to bes acting primitive during the movie So it wasnt so bad.
Bring your OWN food. Nice staff. Kid friendly. Plenty of food restaurants to eat at. Freezing cold
AWESOME!!! LOVE THIS THEATRE!!!And, Its FAR LESS EXPENSIVE than any in the Richmond-area, too! Plus, they move their ticket and their concession lines fairly QUICK, too! Service with a Smile! The concession guy was Amazing--LOVED HIM!!! :)
Were on vacation it is a Very nice place would love to visit again!!! Enjoyed it
Always my go-to theater for movies Love the $5 tuesdays!
Lots of great movies under one roof!
Nice experience. Popcorn is not a 10 but was decent. Chairs are a little small but were comfortable. Seemed very clean.
Big screen, big sound, great snacks, comfortable chairs
We use this theatre for all the opening night premieres. Its clean, the staff is friendly, and they know how to organize a queue. Clean, large bathrooms are a plus. Dont expect prices different from any other theatre.
Pleasant and helpful people that work there. The theater is well kept and clean.
Sooo.... re-release of Avengers Endgame...no new end credits and no poster.desperate attempt on Marvel to gain more money and lack of follow through with Regal Cinima...Regal and Marvel... love you 3000 lost its value.. well see what we missed on youtube... thanks. expectation management needs work
Tickets were purchased online and went well for the day we wanted. No problems.
Wanna hang out with friends, great....this is a good place to meet and watch a good movie
Went today around 2 popcorn nade me sick. You need to check and see if its fresh...its the only thing i ate all day....ive been sick ever since...or either your coke machine is dirty...
Nice, clean, well staffed theater. Never a wait any time weve gone.
I used to go regularly but one day I walked in with my little granddaughter. I had bought her candy next door so upon walking in I forgot to put in in my purse so they took the little girl’s candy until the movie was over. Ever since then I never returned. How can you take a kids candy? Another reason I don’t go is because their screens are not huge like the older days. My Apple TV and huge 4K TV with surround sound is wonderful. I get to see movies playing in the theaters. So why bother going back.
They play movies. Its great.
Loved spending time with my family. We had the movie theatre to ourselves. It was awesome!
Been here many times, but have never had the staff be as rude as they were today. I understand that it was probably a busy day with the heat and Disney movie that recently came out, but there really isnt a reason to be so rude to customers.Instead of asking me to go scan my barcode to get physical tickets (which was different from the last time I was there) I was gruffly told that they dont take those (digital tickets) and to go over there (with a simple point to a machine).Thankfully an employee was able to explain to me why the machine wasnt working after 4 tries. At the concession stand a simple question about combos led to a rude response of we dont do that and an upsell offer not even related to what I asked for.The popcorn tasted like it was popped yesterday and the bucket wasnt even full.Unfortunately this is the only regular movie theater in Williamsburg.
Friendly service... comfortable stadium style seating. Nice clean restrooms
Good theater, but prices for tickets and food MUCH TO HIGH!!!
We saw a movie here for five dollars. I do not like the idea that they dont sell beer.
Best movie theaters in Williamsburg! Its always clean, and the staff are helpful and friendly. The only improvement that could be made would be reserved seating.
Comfortable chairs bright screen great sound
Nice theatre nice location
The staff was very helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed my time at the cinema. Great time!
Very nice theater!
The smell was almost unbearable. We went to see a movie last night in theatre 11. Upon entering you could smell the mold and mildew in this place. We sat through the film because it was late, we were tired and really wanted to see it. I had my sweater covering my nose the entire 2 hours and even had mild allergic reactions. Please do something about this. Has it flooded in there or something? Not cool!
Most excellent theatre.
