Great day of golf beautiful afternoon only problems were finding balls if you were in rough because of leaves, lesson is stay in fareway, course is in fine shapeWould recommend to play
Excellent course. Fair rates. The course is up on a mountain. Its definitely worth a visit.
Very beautiful scenery! Nice long course. Polite service...
Much improved this year. The course still needs work as many bunkers dont have sand or need serious maintenance. Greens are in good condition; very puttable with some minor rough spots. Tees are in good condition. Fairways are typically Muni condition. I recommend rolling your ball to enjoying play here. This is a beautiful traditional mountain course I highly recommend you play.
7-24-20 This is my first visit since early 2018 and Im happy to see some love being put back into the course. Same designer as Mountain Laurel and that place is beautiful, pretty sure Muni can get there with more work. Some of the traps were being edged (not all), grass was cut, greens and tee boxes were in great condition. Fairways had some drying but thats everywhere this year. Since last time I was there, newer carts and the old front 9 is now the back. Im not sure of the logic behind that but my only guess is they got a truckload of scorecards in with the holes reversed.Worth a round if you havent been there for awhile.Ill be back
Fairways and greens were in good shape except for the recent airation holes on the greens, sandtraps were ok but this golf course needs more maintenance and a golf ranger to keep moving along more often.
Beautiful course, needs some TLC. Ill play it again
Needs work but course has a great layout.
Course is in decent shape for a dry summer ... Good price
Course is rebounding nicely from last year when all golf courses were impacted by torrential rain. Greens are in good shape. Definitely worth playing this nicely laid out course. Pro shop personnel are very customer oriented.
Course overall was in good condition. Clubhouse staff displays excellent customer service.
One of the best public course in the area in my opinion
The course is in shambles. The management is horrible. A guy named John apparently runs this disaster and doesnt respect tournaments. The greens are burnt, the tee boxes arent close to level and the grass is higher then the rough and the sand traps.....just see the picture attached. I wouldnt take money to play here.
Very much improved, course has done a 180 from what it was!Its not perfect but it is very much playable!Id give it 3.5 stars & last year would have been a 1.
Of course it doesnt hurt that it was a beautiful day, but its a lovely course. And the staff that work there so friendly so helpful so welcoming. Give it a visit for sure. They have everything you need nice driving range too. Very inexpensive right now theyre having a special in August.
Beautiful course. Excellent greens. Well maintained. Great pricing. Friendly staff. 4th time this season.
They changed the set up, now the old back nine is the front. Im not sure on that. But I will say the course was in better shape than previous years.
Sell this course PLEASE it was one of the areas nicest courses and now its one of the areas poorest maintained courses. The city of Wilkes-Barre should be ashamed of the shape this course is in. The city has no business owning this course.
Course has improved significantly since last year...except for sand traps is in decent shape...greens a little slow but true...this is a nice layout
It was a fantastic Golf Course its back in great shape the staff is great the golf pro is a fantastic golf pro I will go back again anytime hope to get out as soon as possible
Nice course with good people working
Im sorry to say, but Im surprised they even took money to play here. I have had many good experiences here with friends and family when we visit the area on vacation. But, this time, October 19th, 2018, I dont know why the course was in the absolute worst shape Ive ever seen it. Greens on 1-5, the grass was about 1.5 inches thick. 6-18 were a little better maybe 1 inch, but could not putt a single true green putt all day. The grass in the fairway was like the ruff. The rough was like a pasture. Im very sorry to say, because the people are very nice and Ive had many great experiences there before, but next time I will look for a different course. If it was because of weather condition of past days, they should have contacted/refunded me and closed the course.
Its been a rough season for this course. Played here a few days ago and you can see it just isnt there yet. I do hope that it can be reclaimed because the layout is nice.and not too difficult.
An 18 hole golf course that is usually in impeccable shape when open. It is quite ch allenging yet playable enough for all levels. The course can be walked or driving carts are available for a small fee. The course rangers will keep play moving when busy so slower players should understand that they should allow faster players to play through or expect to be asked to pickup their ball and move to the next hole.
The greens are terrible. The fairway is like the rough. Geese excrement everywhere. This was a good golf course 10 years ago. Just like the city of Wilkes Barre, it has turned to trash. Whoever thinks about playing here should look elsewhere. Youll thank me.
Like the course setup.
I would give it 3.5 to 4. I played 6/28/17 the course was in GREAT shape. Greens were smooth and true (somewhat tricky too). The staff was nice and efficient. I played at 9 am and was done by 12, thanks to the gents letting me play through on 14. Price was $30 and worth it compared to others in the Pocono area. I have played all the public course in the Blakeslee area too.
This used to be a really nice course but has gone downhill. Too bad.
The best
Sorry, it was closed. I have played there in the past. Very well kept.
Decent course with a good location. Last few years I would have left a very negative review on course condition but this year has been an improvement. Things seem to be heading in the right direction. 3/5
This course is located away from the city in the mountains of Bear Creek. With plenty of woods surrounding the course it is common to see deer, fowl, or even a black bear. The course offers a challenging layout for an amazing value. The course has a putting green, chipping area, and a driving range. Also on site are a quiet bar and a restaurant.
Cold, windy, surprised there were no leaves on the fairways Had a great time
Theyre working on making it great again
The course is in pathetic shape. Beautiful course and beautiful layout. Terrible course maintenance
Fairways are like rough on other courses, bunkers are the worst i have ever seen, the snack shop between 9&10 is closed, beverage cart came around 1 time in 4 hours it took to play. A waste of 35.00. This course years ago was well maintained, but not now.
Fairways and greens are in great shape. The only down turn is if you end up in a sand trap. Too many rocks.
Course was in really good shape. Had a great time.
Good fall golf
Its not a bad place to play a round of golf but certainly nothing to write home about.
Sand traps need work. Bar is great.
Nice course… Greens are not the fastest but, you will definitely have a good time.
Fair pricing, had a great round of golf
Bunkers have no sand and zero attempt to maintain them. Greens are as bad as it gets.
Course is in terrible shape. Half the greens are dirt and traps are unplayable.
Excellent demanding course priced decently.
Not very well manicured great layout
Course in terrible shape....traps full of weeds, greens worst lve ever played and roughs Were
The good thing uninstalled
Nice course but the greens are terrible
Unkempt
Course is in horrific condition
Staff was very helpful Golf Course was great
Great course.
This place is terrible I cant believe anyone plays here the course is in awful shape the clubhouse looks like its falling down I would rather spend my money somewhere else
