5 Star Review. They are the best organization in Wichita for the developing and competitive athlete.
I would give 10 stars if that was an option. This club is NOT for the money or neglects silver teams etc as stated below by disgruntled people. Silver teams pay less and they have less travel requirements so the cost is lower. Shockwave offers something for every family and every level of ability. For perspective, a gold team that competes nationally pays $2k to play a season that last from November to July and travels to various cities regionally and Nationally. Compare that to same level clubs in KC or Dallas and those teams pay $5K to play. Scott and the coaches go above and beyond to give you access to high level training for the specific reason of advancement. Its not only about wins and losses. In fact, I know from first hand experience that wins and losses are far lower of importance than development. Really sad to read the comments below. This is by far the best club in our area. Im a very proud former parent (my daughter is an alumni of shockwave) and I highly recommend this club for anyone who is considering club volleyball for their child. The friendship/relationships my daughter and I have made are priceless.
If you want your daughter to get great coaching, this is the club for you. They place your daughter with other players at her skill level. We have moved up and down based on the level and skills of that year. There is communication from coaches to players as things change. They provide honest feedback which help your player reach their full potential. They care about the improvement of the players and have skills clinics and conditioning to make that happen. The club owners are organized and are good people. Plus, the connection with Wichita State coaching team is priceless. It has not always been easy navigating club sports but this group made it really easy. We have been with this club for four years and extremely thankful.
Coaches seemed more interested in socializing than coaching. Seemed to be more about money than advancement.
Great club for gold teams. Not good for silver. Gold teams get to practice more than double of the silver teams.
