During the official After Hours Art Walk in downtown Wichita Falls, Texas, I had the opportunity to visit to visit the Worlds Littlest Skyscraper, also known as the Newby-McMahon Building to explore one of many historic buildings in the area. Now home to Hello Again, an antique shop with souvenirs of this historic site and reasonably affordable furniture and home decor with friendly staff to boot, the trip upstairs to the top was quite the view for sure. Id personally recommend a quick visit here so that you too can tell your friends that you were at the Worlds Littlest Skyscraper.

It was built to scam new oil investors, in 1919.The prints were scaled in inches not feet. Legally binding contracts upheld by law. Always read the fine print......

Its so small! What a great little place to stop off at! The inside is a bunch of furniture, clothing, jewelry, and assorted knickknacks. The walk up the stairs gives a detailed history of the skyscraper, all while letting you travel to the top! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for roadside attractions.

By far, one of my favorite places that I made the time to stop and see. The story of the how this skyscraper came to be is more meaningful when you see it in person - and take in the littleness compared to mature trees and the surrounding environment.Kudos to Wichita to preserving the building and the story. After seeing this building, I was inspired to go see the Burj khalifa before the year ended.

An interesting (if dubious) backstory about how this building came into existence. When its closed - as it was when we visited - theres not much to do but take a picture and drive on. Worth seeing if downtown but no need otherwise.

It’s a tiny little skyscraper. There’s not really much to it. I didn’t get to go inside when I was there, but I got some great photos with my family. We decided to stop here on a road trip. I think it was worth it. The town is cute and seemed pretty peaceful. The building itself was in pretty good condition for its age. The story behind it was amusing and my kids got a kick out of it. The world’s littlest skyscraper made it on our top 10 favorite stops list for our family road trip!

Everything in town was closed, because it was Sunday. We took a quick drive by and stopped in the parking lot next door to snap a few pictures. A couple of homeless on the street, But they didnt bother us.

Its more of a novelty than anything else not much in this small town of note, although as you can imagine its kind of anticlimactic as it sounds. Youll have to park away from it and pictures best taken from an alley by a dumpster.

A neat historical place to take the kids. The story behind the Worlds Littlest Skyscraper is not a far cry from some of the shenanigans that people attempt to pull off on todays society. As the old adage goes, buyer beware and always carefully read everything in the plans and contract before signing on the dotted line. There is also a wonderful antique shop at the front of this building that is worth taking a look through and browsing through while youre there.

A must-see for everyone! The story is really amazing: we werent sure whether to be impressed and amused, or upset by the greed and fraud. For being constructed in 1919 its still in wonderful shape, and the story truly is impressive. Its not often a (Texan) man is celebrated for luring in who-knows how many investors into one purchase, then skips town before anyone understands that he advertised and sold the same property to multiple people...it really is incredible that he got away with it. Well...he was never able to show his face in North Texas again so perhaps it was a loss for him as well

Interesting little place to stop and see. Our family enjoys visiting museums and places like this. So while the family and I were in town visiting the in-laws. Had some time to go around site seeing and stop and see the littlest skyscraper. Wasnt able to see inside since they were closed at the time. But we saw the outside and then visited another museum in the area.
