Nice enough facility but they seem to hardly ever have the extra life guard needed to turn on the big water slide... Such a waste! I would take our family of four kids more often if I knew the slide would be on.
Nice place, but in trying to save money the aquatic center board forgot to pay attention in economics 101 class. The law of supply and demand, if you lower your price, you’ll sell more. Since you’re paying for employees and utilities anyway, why not get more paying customers, lower your prices to $3 a visit, $100 yearly single memberships, $150 couple, and $200 a family of four, similar to Janesville), make the locals happy by accepting silver sneakers. Become a community go to place for the average person.
Great facility, lap pool, leisure pool, and a big workout area. Great for kids too.
Great! Had a lot of fun with the family here for a birthday party.
Just a down right great friendly place the staff recognizes you and treats you like a friend. The equipment is good and its a casually place where people are patient and understanding. Lots of space to do what you need without overly expensive and unneeded luxuries. I enjoy coming here very much and wish I could go more.
I go for adult swim and everyone is so pleasant and nice to talk to
We had our sons birthday party there 2 years in a row. The staff always do an exceptional job and go above and beyond! Kids always have a great time rain or shine. Highly recommended!
One of the few places to take kids in the winter but ... life guards could be a little more kid friendly they always seem to have it out for the kids and blow the whistle for ridiculous reasons. I got yelled at because I was walking with a tube my 2yr old nephew was in through the lazy river (something everyone does) and another mom was going the same thing with her child much younger than my nephew when the life guard kept talking to her and told me I couldnt do it??? I of course said then why does she get to? This life guard name I did not catch I just took my nephew to a different area. This was April 14 we have not been back since. Which is sad because our entire family enjoys swimming.
Clean pool and locker rooms. A variety of options for all ages. We go a lot and even had a birthday party there. Love it!
The pool is great for those with arthritis
Awesome services. Clean and friendly
My daughter had her son a pool party there. The pool area is fun and the pizza was good. However some of the front desk staff was not so friendly. I purchased some items and placed the money in the young males hand and he sat my change on the counter and the other young guy threw my food on the counter. I said thank you and the both walked away. My daughter paid for a party for her son. My daughter and my son both are graduates of The University of Whitewater and they are perusing their Masters now, and have lived there for the past seven years with their families. And for us to be treated rudely by some of the staff was hurtful. However their was on life guard who was very friendly and nice and talked with my husband. It is good to know that one person can make difference. The place is beautiful and it was very fun for my family over all.
Nice place to play. Water is perfect temp
Paid $45 dollars for two adults and three kids to relax and enjoy the center. Very disappointed. Only one lifeguard employee present by pool, so water slide wasn’t even running. This alone should require a discounted price. You pay for the entire experience but you don’t get it here. What you will get is a group of young lifeguards blowing whistles and yelling at kids. You can’t even sit in the hot tub with a child sitting on the edge dangling their feet in with out getting reprimanded. Get a clue, get some employees and provide the service you advertise.
Ive been taking my kids there for years and we have always loved it. My son has special needs, and the staff is very good with him. They always go out of their way to make sure he feels welcomed. He takes a private swimming lesson with Noah who is absolutely fantastic. Paula is an excellent manager, and the employees work well together. We just love it!
Celebrated our daughters fifth birthday here and it went very well. Staff was polite and the water was warm. Id just like access to the party room for the time frame and a place for peoples items. Cannot beat the price though.
November 2018: Just a down right great friendly place the staff recognizes you and treats you like a friend. The equipment is good and its a casually place where people are patient and understanding. Lots of space to do what you need without overly expensive and unneeded luxuries. I enjoy coming here very much and wish I could go more.
Good place to bring family to swim, work out or go into whirlpool!
Great place for swimming. Clean pool, hot tub and lap pool. Nice for kids.
A little expensive but offers a lot of swimming space and works well in winter!
Terribal customer I was unable to eat my dominos inside the building if I could I would rate it 0 stars dont come here ever
This is a great idea, with poor operational execution. With everything else the same, but different management on both the school and center side, this would be a 5 star facility. I hope they can do that in the future.
When do the Whitewater Aquatic Center we go about once a year with the family. It is a nice clean facility and a lot of fun for the little ones. It is now an extended family tradition to go either around Christmas or New Years Eve.
Unlike Austrian fitness clubs (where I come from) it has a workout area plus a swimming pool. Thats really wonderful. I love to workout and then swimm. Only the most expensive clubs provide that in Austria.
Nice place but VERY expensive for the locals. Tax dollars built it but expensive to use.
Get fit. Get wet. Pedal hard! Get steps. And sweat! Pump iron. Feed heart race! You bet!Get stronger muscles & bones, faster nerves, toned, better balance, better moves. Get abs. Get into speedo & bikini shape, or both! Try being a tri-athlete! Or just into better shape than now. Set a doable goal--I shoot for a little less embarrassing than last month. Massage options too. Few communities have such a well equipped facility and service and all so affordable.Step inside & you will see you wont have many excuses for not doing something here--so many options, individual and group, many fun, and there are people who can assist, and new friends to make. Many learning programs too.Go alone, with friends, or frenemies who benefit from your competitive urging, siblings, cousins, neighbors, or with your invisible friends...limit to 3 of those please. Use it as an excuse to buy snazzy new sports shoes & gear...just dont overdo the spandex or hair gel.Of course Ok to bring your service unicorn along--who FYI loves zumba, jazzercize, leg lifts, yoga, playing cards while snacking, and the whirlpool--where they may nag you relentlessly, unless you sing broadway songs to them, which I do--to keep them quieter. But you will have to share with those who forgot their unicorns. It may seem obvious, but keep your gnomes, trolls and gremlins, and other magical beasts at home. Even your very docile dragon whose wings might fan you if hot.Did I mention it stimulates your imagination and fantasies? You will sleep better, dream better and flirt better. Yeah, go for it. You wont regret it. Much. Just be safe & reasonable, with doctor or wizards permission as needed. Lots of hours open, so you can probably avoid me if I sound too weird, or join me singing a few show tune duets to unicorns--an excellent way to cool down & relax after making it through the gym machine circuit or swimming that 1/2 mile, uphill, against the current and winds of course. Conquer you mind, body and a few imaginary dragons! And then you can look as good as me! Or better, more likely.
Weve been going there for years and we have a lot of fun make sure you bring some snacks money.
Love going, the kids always have fun, but it is expensive to go. Its $8/person no matter age!!
A hidden gem wish I knew about it my whole time in whitewater
Ive been going here for several years and have consistently had a good experience with staff, from the front desk to the pool deck. Its clean, and they have a special ultra-violet (not sure how to describe this) cleaning system that means less chlorine and a cleaner pool.
Good local place to catch a swim and enjoy the scenery ;-)
Great facility for kids, but VERY dirty locker rooms! The kids loved the slide, which is only open after 3 pm if there is enough staff. We were surprised when they werent opening the slide and had two extra lifeguards sitting on their phones. After an hour, we asked if they could open it. The family locker room was disgusting! It smelled horrible and there was dirty water standing on the floor, hair and wet toilet paper around the toilet. Very dirty! It is unfortunate because it is a great place for kids. I wish they took better care of it.
A great place, lots of fun for the kids.
Great place for a good swim and fun..
A nice inexpensive family outing on cold and rainy days. Fun for all ages, and never really too crowded. :)
Pricey for such a small area. Also, slide not open till 3:30 was advertised (late imo) and then there werent enough life guards so they didnt actually open till after 4!
Its alright, friendly place and fun, but not the most cleanest, love the ice creams there
Fun place to take the kids.
They have really nice pool areas. Best in the area by far. Their fitness area is still too small (not enough weights) for the rush times. They upgraded most of the cardio equipment and I definitely appreciate that. It seems the new ownership wants the dumbbells to be organized but apparently members dont think its worth their time. It would be nice if that was part of the closing or opening shifts responsibilities to organize and clean the fitness area. The UW is much nicer and the prices are very comparable. The UW however gets a lot busier. A lot more old people sitting on equipment talking to each other here though.Of the 2 Id say this is better for families and anything else is better for people interested in fitness.
It is a great place to spend the day with the family and is inexpensive.
Never a member, Though I have been here a bunch of times bringing friends, and kids for the water slide and the other aquatic stuff, the locker rooms are coed to make it nice for families with seperate rooms. snack bar is nice food is at a fair price.
Paula is a rude and awful human being. Witnessed her treating staff like garbage. This place is dirty and the bathrooms are disgusting. Staff is nice except for Paula. She needs to get off her high horse and grab a mop.
Great to have birthday parties
Great stuff and super clean!
Our boys LOVE this place.
Nice place for family fun. A bit expensive
We visited on the weekend during winter and the place was packed!
Very nice place!
Staff is friendly and the facility is decently clean.
Great place for birthday parties
Nice place expensive
My membership is free
Nice spot
Pricey for what it is
Expensive
Reasonable.
Excellent place.
Very nice
Awesome place for Kids
Great indoor pool facilities - lap pool, splash pool, hot tub, lazy river, plus gym facility.
I dont like the Whitewater Aquatic Center website as it does not list the prices for open swim membership.
Small but nice
Its ok
