Very lovely this time of year. Challenging hike but well worth the time & effort.

The slow winding roads make it worth the drive. A great forest area for this area of Wisconsin. It gives u a sample of what a national forest is like in northern Wisc.

Huge State Park, a little more roughen it ! Have more out house type toilets, very gross and no running water, the whole park was shut down for any type service, no park rangers or anyone from the park service were vacant! So you were able to just pull in and camp

We love this area. Lots of great trails and beautiful scenery everywhere you go. Easy trails all the way up to some very challenging ones. Hundreds of miles on the ancient ice age trail always gives you a new area to see. Some keys points also are done in way to make them easily accessible to anyone.

It is a good place to go hike and a good place to be out there for peaceful mind.

Are paddle at Whitewater Lake all the time great place

Great hiking opportunities and easy access. Just dont forget your State park sticker!! :D

The Kettle Moraine is of course a feature unique to the area. Theres no better way to experience it than in the State Forest. There are many campgrounds, parks, and trails. Plenty of hiking, swimming, and boating in the summer, and hiking a skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. If you like the outdoors, you can never be bored here.

Wonderful time today with my family of 5 on the Ice Age Trail. Getting the young ones into nature to start off our summer.

Have always loved this bit of Wisconsin.

Calming, quiet trails, not to hard to run but some spots on the trail are rocky. Perfect getaway or some alone me time.

We stayed in a group campsite, had about 40 people at any given time. Site was perfect.

Very beautiful place good for hiking, fishing, camping, or even just a day of swimming. The campsites are good for one - three familys, and some have enough trees for hammocks.The down side: poison parsnip, poison ivy, poison oak, and maskitos. Of course, that last one is kind of unavoidable in the humid summer.The up side: perfect for a family outdoor vacation, or for group camping. I would definitely recommend it!

We had a group of about six families on one of the group sites and it was fabulous!

Hunting with the grandson is the best great area to enjoy nature

I went camping with my family here. The beach was small, not deep enough to swim. We went on one trail which was completely not taken care of and the plants were so overgrown there was basically no path, and one of my cousins fell into the mossy, dirty water. It was awful. But the place we sat and camped at was big, and the sky was pretty.

You could hide dead bodies here if needed.

The best place for great outdoor activities!

Spring is a great time to hike the ice age trail. No folage, and better yet no bugs. The woods in Wisconsin are full of a large amount of biting insects in the summer. Not so in winter and spring.

Did the Moraine ridge trail. A bit rough. Walked over a ridge and almost got attacked by a turkey. Its an off beat path parellel to the IAT so if looking for some solitude, this is it.

Glacial landscapes. Beautifully kept trails. A wonderful resource for southern Wisconsin.

So much beauty, right in our back yard.

As with all Wisconsin state parks this one is pretty good. Had a great camping trip, and would probobly put it on our rotation as our family alternates from year to year between parks we love to go back to and parks we have never been to before!

Have been using the trails since college, one of my favorite local places to escape to with friends or my boys year-round. All of the trails are great and the views are beautiful.
