Awesome little park hardly visited during the week, even in the heart of summer. Nice fine gravel beach with several picnic tables and restrooms. Free for Montana residents (and rental cars with Montana plates) and honor pay station charges $6/day per car.SUP boards and kayaks for rent but probably the most expensive on the lake.
Great quick spot to go enjoy the water and sunset. Wish people would pick up their dog doo though
Nice state park! Parking is can be a challenge so it actually limits crowd at the beach. Come early!
Clean, dog friendly gravel beach. Hardly ever crowded. Even if busy there is plenty of room.
Nice - clean beach. Wooded State Park - small fee for non residents
Clean and lots of room for swimming or even a picnic.
I loved it because I knew the tourists will be gone by September
This hidden little beach is fantastic.
Hidden gem in Whitefish. This is the best beach in town and much less crowded than City Beach. Dog-friendly beach is a perfect spot to people watch and relax a day away. Parking can be a bit tough so get here early! There are limited rentals and bathroom facilities. There are some pit-grills and tables as well. Highly recommend - bit of a drive from town but more than worth it!
We found no beach area as the website pictures would suggest. Its more of a 2 foot rock area then water. More of a boat launching area.
Beautiful lake and a pretty rock beach popular with the locals. It is a state park, so theres a nominal day fee. They also offer an array of rentals, (paddle boards, kayaks and water safety vests). Bring a padded blanket, the rocks can be hard on the tookus.
Some people dont pick up after their dogs and its not hard to see. The trashcans provided are usually full and overflowing...if we could all pack in and pack out personal trash, perhaps more people would be inclined to dispose their pets waste into said trashcans. These things are important because the space is small. There is a shore space that is rocky and it doesnt stretch far at all. Usually crowded during the summertime. Plenty of other places to take your pups that you too can enjoy.
A great state park with a large pebble beach, roped off swim area with sunning platform, picnic tables, toilets, and dedicated dog area. Lots of sun here until sunset, and paddle rentals, as well. It gets very busy in summer, so get their early to claim your spot in the sun.
The dog beach was awesome.
Most beautiful park in whitefish lake. Shore fishing access and swimming access. Crystal clear water and colorful pebble beach rocks smooth. Ahhhh wish i was there everyday.
Very good food. It was a good place to wat and talk.
Beautiful, nice place to relax
Beautiful views and a small area where you can let your dogs off leash.
Best beach in Whitefish, hands down. Pet friendly and so much less congested than city beach. The water is clean and clear. The hours are from sunrise to sunset. The camp host did yell at us once for being there after hours, he was pretty aggressive, could’ve handle the situation better in my opinion but that’s the only run in I’ve ever encountered and I’ve been here maybe 50 times. You get more direct sunlight than other whitefish beaches and the latest sunsets in town. Love this place!
Good place for swimming and the most sun. Clean beach area with pick nick tables in the trees. Beautiful.
I love this place. For humans and canines! Separated beach for both. Right on the lake go enjoy the sunset.
Fantastic. We greatly appreciate the dog friendly section of the beach. Please keep it open!!
Great place plus no charge if mt. resident
$8 for non-residents.
Warm slimy seaweed and sharp rocks everywhere on the floor of the lake. Not to mention the four foot pike.
A great little picnic area with a gorgeous view of the lake
Great spot to enjoy Whitefish Lake without the crowds.
Crystal clear water and rainbow colored rocks...breathtaking!!
Clean, camp hosts very welcoming, knew about the area.
Great park because its small and tucked away. But it also gets crowded in peak season so be prepared to sit close to other people. The beach is rock rather than sand, but comfortable enough to lay on with a towel. Bring swim shoes if you have tender feet.
Small State Park surrounded by private land. Sure wish more States would follow the Hawaiian method.
Great small pebble beach. There are benches and a couple tables. The water is clean and cool. Great for swimming and laying in the sun. Dogs are allowed south of the swim area. There are kayak and stand up paddle boards for rent too.
Easy to find, quiet and the kids love the swimming and beach
Beautiful spot for an afternoon swim or a picnic. Part of the beach here is dog friendly but please please be respectful. So little of Whitefish Lake has public access, especially for our furry friends, that you have got to appreciate and protect places like Les Mason.
Really nice place for hanging out
Fun little beach away from the city.
Beautiful day. Grandsons enjoyed throwing rocks into the lake
Beautiful place! Super quick, easy access from the parking lot and also has a wheelchair accessable path. Really liked it here!
Beautiful spot. Tight parking no motor home or RV
Small park. Its just ok. Might be nice to bring a lunch. I imagine its good for launching a kayak
Not enough parking for a warm sunny day. Just barely lake access with a rocky shore. Nice lake though.
Beautiful beach area on Whitefish Lake
An artificial island so the kids can swim and dive into the lake, great.
Area is secluded, dogs are allowed to swim in the lake there and usually not crowded.
Great park on the lake with a place for dogs to swim
Everything you want in a (dog friendly) public beach, parking can be a pain.
Only truly pet friendly beach on whitefish lake!
Love this beach. such great memories
Shhhh
Great place to swim for families and dogs
Dog friendly beach!
Great place to paddleboard
Nice park. Kind of small.
Dog beach!!!! Awesome!!!!!
Beautiful
Awesome for my puppies who live to swim!!
