Arrowhead has something unique about the place. The grandeur and history inside of the clubhouse coupled with 27 neatly beautiful and spectacularly manicured holes make it a MUST visit public course. The inviting ambiance draws you in and begs you to stay and come back again soon. Walking around on the grounds feels like a spiritual experience every time.

Scenic golf course. Course is both easy and challenging.

Decent craft beer selection. Good food. I recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken which is enormous and beautifully fried. Dining patio is a bit small.

Beautiful golf course and clubhouse! I had a lot of fun playing out here. The course was in pristine shape, very fast greens, lots of challenging fun holes. They had a great practice facility; driving range, putting green, and chipping green. Arrowhead is a 27 hole golf course, so you have options. I played the South 9 and West 9.

Wonderful golf course with 27 holes to challenge all skill levels. Winding through the trees tee shots can be demanding and the greens are no joke. Be sure to pack all facets of your golf game before taking this test!

Beautiful course...the greens are one of the best kept greens I ever played on...just a little confusing finding the next hole and the cart GPS gets a little confused at times...other than that THE best course near Chicago in my opinion..

No problem with the course...left my range finder in my cart, magnetic attached to side bar and hours later it’s gone. Not a good representation of the golf course. Cart guys should have turned it in.. thumbs down.

The outdoor seating is limited and does not have a clear view of the golf course. The food was okay.

I fell in love with Arrowhead from the first time I saw it and knew it was the perfect venue for my September 30, 2018 wedding. I started planning very early, 18 months in advance, but Arrowhead was nothing but accommodating and patient with me from start to finish, despite my 5000+ questions/concerns. My original coordinator, Brittiny ended up moving in the middle of my planning process, which was a concern at first. However, the transition to working with Alexis was seamless, and I instantly felt reassured and knew I was still in great hands.I had a multicultural wedding with a belly dancing performance, a quirky ceremony, and a list of special requests. Arrowhead made all of my requests a reality, and I rarely heard no, which was so wonderful as a bride with a very specific vision! Perhaps what I appreciated the most was that Alexis was willing to wait as long as possible to make the call about the weather, which enabled me to have my dream ceremony in their gorgeous garden space. It was perfect and so well maintained and beautiful.To say that Arrowhead made my wedding day perfect and ideal is an understatement. Our guests will not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was, how amazing the food was, and how efficient, friendly, and accommodating the staff was. There were no long gaps between courses, glasses were instantly refilled, and we felt so special and cared for the entire day. I only wish I could go back in time and relive my wedding day at Arrowhead on repeat! My budget was not huge, but the promotions and willingness of Arrowhead to work with each couples needs allowed me to have a wedding that felt and looked like it cost tens of thousands more than I spent! I cannot recommend this venue enough, they will ensure you have the wedding of your dreams!P.S. The Nitro Ice Cream Bar is amaazing!

I adore this place very much. It is a very nice ambiance. The cuisine is marvelous. the service is powerful and the waiters are professional. The price is reasonable. I definitely recommend.

A beautiful venue for wedding, very elegant interior and scenic exterior.The wedding began with delicious hordourves, meat skewers, spring rolls and my favorite was scallop wrapped with bacon!The wedding hall were elegant by itself so all it needed was minimal decorations of flower petals and bouquets around.Later the hall partitions were taken out and transformed into a dining space. This took a while but when lunch reception came around, the salmon and beef were delicious. My steak was unfortunately well done and tough. But my wifes salmon was really fresh and great in flavor.

The ginormous pretzel was awesome!! The service was great!

Listen, dont come to this place complaining about anything unless your short game is in tip top shape, these greens are not for faint of heart or YIPPY of hands and wrists... the course overall is in fantastic shape, the restaurant and all employees are very helpful and inviting, great great time

We went to the restaurant at the gold club for the first time. A member of our party was in a wheel chair. The staff was very thoughtful and accommodating to our needs. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Prices are reasonable. They have indoor seating in the bar area, table seating in the dining room and outdoor seating overlooking the driving range and putting/chipping green.

Smaller menu still but lots of good options. Food and service was excellent.

The restaurant food was absolutely scrumptious. I specifically got the chicken Quesadilla.

Arrowhead is awesome place weWe decided to go with arrowhead for the simple fact that they offered more then some of the other places that we looked at.The wedding director there was bery knowledgeable Of all of our questions and the pricing was Very reasonable for what we wanted So we decided to have our daughters wedding there.We have started doing all be tastings for what my daughter is going to have at her wedding for food and wine And I have to tell you it was very good very well put together they went over every aspect of how the table will be sat down to how the napkins will be placed it was really really awesomeThe staff is so amazing and helpful in every aspect they answer all of our questionsI highly recommend if you are deciding to have a wedding or function or a party to at least give this place a tryMichael Roop

VERY NICE COURSE and well maintained. A little steep for green fees. But the course layout will make up for the price. Fairways are very narrow. But it is well worth the gree.fees charged.

The ambiance was lovely. The service was a little over average. They offer a free movie night on the golf course by the club house once each summer. It is phenomenal

We went there for a family dinner. There were seven of us. In the end, the best anyone could say about any of the seven plates of food we ordered was that it was ok. The pretzel bread that came out before the meal was super, someones New England clam chowder was great. The entrees however, were quite lackluster. The fish and chips were mostly batter, fish tacos were bland, the buns on burgers were dry. The gnocchi and fish plates did not get good reviews.Despite the poor results from the kitchen, the services were great and the atmosphere was very nice.

Turkey chili was delicious and service was great.

Kimmie is awesome as an event planner! I was working with four different venues to get information and make a decision as to where to have our baby shower. Kimmies communication out did any of the other three with her quick email answers, response to request of photos of the room choices (i live two states away) and knowledge. She will help you have the most perfect event. I highly recommend Arrowhead!

Nice but pricy

I attended a Bridal Shower at Arrowhead yesterday. It took place in a banquet room over looking the golf course. The food was delicious and the service was good. Arrowhead is a beautiful venue to host a party!

It was amazing how they handle the many different functions going on throughout the facility. A wedding, a prom, the conference that I was a part of, not to mention the 19th hole that was very, very lively.Food was excellent though they need to handle special diets a little better (vegan vs vegetarian, lactose intolerant, etc.)Cant wait to attend a function there again.

Great deal Monday on Grilled Burgers half price. Was very good.

Warm weather: great public golf course! Well maintained, fair rates, Full pro shop with decent prices, nice staff, beautiful landscape.Cold weather: cross country ski and snowshoe haven! They have $20 full gear rentals (skis + poles + boots) and the guys running it are super courteous and well-organized. The kits they rent are always in great shape, the trails are groomed beautifully and the trails are long and varied enough to keep it fun for beginners or experts alike - there are tracks for standard X country and wide paths for skate skiers as well.All weather: the clubhouse has delicious food and great drink specials! A well kept secret in the area for sure.

West course is the best, East course is ok, South course is in rough shape. The greens are gone on the south course to such a point I would recommend if you get this course demand to be changed or get a refund because its literally not worth your time or money. They are that unplayable. I would recommend to the course to just shut south down and let those greens recover and get rid of a lot of the trees they are choking out the turf. Overall course is pretty fun can be a bit quarky. The practice facility is nothing special to speak of. The restaurant is their shinning star and have a great craft beer selection, might be the best Ive seen at a golf course.

When I moved to Wheaton I was taken here by a friend and was surprised to learn it was a city owned golf and dining venue and not an expensive private club.The food has never disappointed us. Broad menu, good wines, and the best value with good service. Golf course is very well maintained and a nice challenge but not only for a pro. Anyone can dine or play golf here.

Wonderful wedding venue but waitresses need improvement, they were clearly in a hurry to get the job done and go home. They were clearing dishes off tables before people were through and without asking if we were finished, no smiles, bad attitudes. I asked for a cup of coffee with my cake and was told it had already been put away. After some discussion the coffee was retrieved.

Just spoke to the planner and found out that health regulations require that protein be removed after one hour...didnt know that! Also, if the coffee isnt good, you can ask them to brew fresh. Beautiful venue and delicious food

The grounds are very nice. The area is beautiful mostly due to the property formerly being part of the adjacent forest preserves. Also, a round is $15 less than Cantigny for about the same experience. As for the restaurant take your average sit down place in the area and add 30% to the price and there you go. If youre looking for a round of golf and a good meal afterwards you could do a lot worse. The bar was crowded so I assume its pretty good.

A foursome for dinner on the patio on a warm but not stormy day. Many golfers on the course, cuz the lot was nearly full. A sparkly personality seated us and another was there in a heartbeat for a drink order. A bottle of wine made us thirst for dinner. Loved the timing of the meal, it was just right. The patio soon was filled to overflowing, but the beat was always up. Great food that was hot and delicious has us savoring the very last of the wine in our glasses. A near perfect evening I might say.

Great venue for a wedding. Beautiful views of the course from the ballroom. The food was very good. The steaks were perfect, not easy to do when serving a large event, and the chicken breasts moist. The staff was extremely attentive. When one member of our table enquired about the champagne, the server returned with a bottle to show us the brand. When another asked about the cheese, the server returned with the answer. And when the brides parents need a way to transport the flowers, the staff supplied plastic bags.

I love arrowhead. Great conditions always. I gave it only 4 stars because I think the greens and pin placements are just too difficult. I know they are going for the country club feel and they have achieved that but it seems like every time I play here the greens are extremely difficult.

They need an electrician and the bar tender forgot I had ordered twice in 30 minites
