Love this place. Very cosmopolitan in its demographic. Police contact is minimal and non-intrusive. There is a local street gang; those that i believe are members have left me to mine without so much as a sideways glance.Only complaint? Bathrooms locked for co-vid 19. There are a number of homeless in the area who have Buckingham for their bathroom needs. Theyve always been very respectful of me. I cant imagine why the municipality would withhold such a basic, and necessary function from a people with so few options.
We came here for the softball fields and they were pretty good. I used to play on these fields as a young girl and now my daughter played here today. They have been taking care of them and so the dirt is nice. The outfield is ok, but after all, it is the outfield. The bathrooms werent the greatest, but better than a porta potty. I didnt see any homeless people milling around which is always a bonus when you have your kids there.
I was waiting for a friend that lives on Homer Street and I decided to park my car at Buckingham... It was getting to be dusk and what I realized was that a large group of migrants homeless people were setting up camp in the Park area on the grass they brought blankets to sit on they had a barbecue going Im talking about it was a serious like a lot of people you know and I didnt feel comfortable I just picture the cops bursting through at any moment and arresting everybody that was my most recent visit Im not saying its like that all the time maybe the cops cleaned it up but I wasnt shocked to see that... But then again when I was a teenager and something unsavory needed to get done it was done at Buckingham Park
This place hasnt changed since I was a kid. Its still kept up and great for baseball. Parking is pretty limited though. Now a days I see more homeless people in the park than kids and families. It will probably dissuade many parents from taking their kids there.
Used to take my daughter here.. Last time i did, there was a homeless man urinating in the area where children play.
Mostly nice; but usually has homeless roaming around so be careful.Weekends arent usually a good time to go as there are frequent baseball games at the park and parking is pretty much bin existent.
Its clean n the homeless people there are so nice and respectful and considerate
Super chill with a baseball field to play on.
Very clean park and has a great baseball field . Nice trail to walk.
Nice park. Fun play area for the kids.
My grandson was having a blast
Nice and quiet. Nice breeze and lots of trees.
I remember taking my kid to this park 10 or 11 years ago and he really enjoyed it now its a fun place to take your dog for a walk I remember back then that we had this agricultural area right next door where they had a lot of cows that my son would look at and he seemed very intimidated by them so it was good to have the experience of him seeing animals like that
Couldnt see a lot was there at night for a competition at Westminister High and used the athletic fields for parking
Nice breeze, lots of grass and restrooms are a bonus
The park was very small. The playground area was new and clean despite being small. Lots of grass field and a baseball diamond. Right off of freeway which made getting here very easy.
I like to go there and have my lunch sometimes, there are quie a few homeless that are always there but no one has bothered me
No kid activity. Lots of homeless, so I count this as a no kid area.
There is a lot of free space and areas to play softball or baseball. There is also a little playground for your children and plenty of shade.
Cool park
This used to be a nice park but the city is letting it get run down. The parking lot is in need of repair and it needs to have better police patrols.
Great family park
Weekends are packed with families and soccer teams..
Too many homeless people
Championship amazing
Nice park
When I camped out there I went i a kids plastic toy house and didnt get caught. Pretty cool but theres a shitload of undercover cops posing a bums ..so u know.
Too dirty, homeless people all over, no shade under tables to take lunch. I definitely dont recommend it
Homeless have taken over the park, no longer kid friendly
Quite a few homeless people that come in and out of the park. Other than that, the park is a very fairly clean park.
Parking lot is way too small when they are hosting a softball friendly. There was no toilet paper in either bathroom, and the bathrooms were locked before the end of the softball event. Trash cans were also overflowing all day.
It was kinda full of vagrants at 5 in the afternoon.
Portap0tties over flowing no toilet paper
A lot of fun for kids play.
Small kiddy park
Nice park I found 3 baseballs!
Love this place my daughter plays soccer there
Seedly little park, lots of shady characters. I tried to stay at this park for the day in my RV and parking control and the cops keep circling the parking lot even though there are no time limits on parking at parks.
Open area, quiet for the most part.
Parking lot way too little for all the activity going on in this park
Once little park
Many homeless folks.
Good prices, but very bad work
No parking at all
Is aight
Too many homeless
Wonderful
Fun
New playground, baseball fields, and gold post.
Cosy place
Not many kids which can be ideal for those who wants the peace and quiet.
Come here and get harassed by overzealous cops who hate homeless people.
A small parking.
Bonito parke.
Has huge grass area but tiny play area
Lots of homeless
First time here!!! Looks like someones neglected backyard....
George Michael doesnt come here.
