Great course for beginners and intermediate golfers. Usually straight fairways but there are some fun holes too. decent clubhouse. One of the busiest course during golf season.

First off, facilities are top notch and great feel around the property and the clubhouse. Played on Friday July 3rd, first time at this course and from out of town visiting local friends in Westfield. On hole #4, which is the first par 3, one of my playing partners (who is single digit handicap) teed up and pulled his shot left. Group in front was on the cart path around the bend and unfortunately in the direction of the miss hit. We all yelled fore as loud as possible, ball missed their cart thankfully.Man in the cart is immediately irate and is yelling back at us on the tee box that we could have killed his kid. We apologized profusely and were still being yelled at. Rest of us hit our tee shots and were approached by the man as we came up to the green. Says he is a member there and hes not to be messed with. Also says we wouldnt have hit into them if son was white. Taunting us saying he wants to play for $1000 a hole.Back and forth arguments and apologies did nothing to stop the rage. Wife steps in similarly angry and upset. Pro comes out a few holes later and informs us the member wants us kicked off the course. The pro was extremely professional and understood our position as golfers and gentlemen. We backed off and took our time so as not to interact with the group anymore. He came out a 2nd time because the couple again asked for us to be kicked out.On the back 9, the man and wife no longer had their son with them and proceeded to play as slow as possible adding at least 30 minutes to our round. It was blatantly obvious they were doing this on purpose. They would look back at us, sit in their cart and wait to tee off until we were done with the hole. Immaturity at its best.At the end of the round, they were waiting at the clubhouse to continue the arguments for some insane reason. Yelling and screaming at each other and us. There were 3 in our group and we were paired with a single. The 3 of us got our clubs and immediately left the course with no comments to the insane couple. The single stayed and confronted the couple. This was the strangest and saddest golf experience Ive been a part of in my life. I cannot say enough how professional the golf pro was and the potential of the course. However, if this kind of situation occurred with one of their members treating us like that I will be spending my money elsewhere.

Very nice golf course what out in the middle of nowhere. There is some undulation in the course and some trees any Creek that runs around throughout the course as well as a couple of lakes. Not many bunkers in front of the greens so you have a pretty wide apron to run up the ball. Fairways were also pretty wide open. The course was maintained pretty well too.

Havent played this course since it was Bent Tree. Much as I remembered it, a good challenge without being overly difficult. Fairways and greens in good shape, bunkers a little thin on sand. Overall, an enjoyable round.

The course is in the middle of no where, so it is incredible what they could do with the lack of scenery. With wooded holes, water, even a creek running through. None of these are in position to mess up the score card but all quite scenic. Not a hard course, but kinda rough, and the bunkers seem like rocks more than just sand. I’m not rating it 5 stars only because on the website it says it has a driving range, but it doesn’t. I called and asked if they did, and the assistant on the line said the hitting ‘nets’ were open to the public. Though when I showed up, the man at the counter said they were not open which was disappointing. Nice club, greatly priced, but the first 3 holes and a few others are just really jam packed and open to others playing the opposite direction, though it works well.

This course is truly one of the hidden gems of Indianapolis. The staff there has been nothing but fantastic to me. Jake, Jeff, Elliott, Cindy, Denny.... just superb group of people. As far as course design, it has everything you’d want as an amateur golfer. A couple forgiving par 4s to get into rhythm of the game. However as you make your way to back 9 you’ll soon learn this isn’t your Grandmas course. Many challenges in back with water and many rolling hills to navigate through.I can’t recommend this course enough. I am thrilled to see what happens in years to come with the changes happening with 2 new holes being constructed in next year. Very exciting times!

Great course. $39 after 5pm to play 18 with a cart during the week.Only down side was that the roughs were pretty rough so if youre on the fairways then its a non issue. I hit a couple balls into the rough that were definitely findable but I just couldnt spot them because the grass was too long.Greens were in very good shape and the tee boxes were looking good as well.Only complaint is that the cart we had was low on charge and drove extremely slow. we called to ask them to swap it while finishing hole #3 and no one ever showed up with a different cart.

After not playing this course for a few years due to poor upkeep, I was pleasantly surprised when I got out there recently. Although the course has been dialed back in the difficulty category with hazards diminished significantly, the layout still requires shot making and a bit of course management to post a score. But, the condition was the most impressive stat of the day. They have obviously put some money back into the course and it looks and plays pretty well. Although the new home construction has taken over the driving range, you can still warm up by hitting balls into a net... not ideal, but effective. Play is usually slow, as I remember, and that seems to not have changed even though the course is short and hazards are now few (just over 6k yds from the blue tees). With a 5.9 index it was relatively easy to post a 1 over 72, so if you are looking for fun golf instead of challenging golf you should check it out. I can see why they have become very popular for outings because high handicappers can also contribute to the team.

This course is in brutal shape..never seen it so bad. Crab grass is taking over all the tee boxes...fringes are cut at uneven heights. Greens are fine but for $60 you can do much better for the money. Wish they could get it back into shape since it is a unique challenge. Short but makes you play long irons frequently as well

I have never reviewed a course before, but I found last weekends round so disappointing that I felt compelled to make this my first. I have played this course dozens of times over the past 5 years and I have never found it to be in such bad shape. I have always enjoyed the layout and have found it to be a good value, but that changed last weekend. The entire course was covered in dandelions, there was little sand in the bunkers (it was mainly dirt), there were no ball washers to be found, hole signs were broken and it was almost impossible to find a level place to stand on a tee box. For $50+ it isnt worth playing there anymore . . . what a shame.

Very playable and fun course. Fairways are lush and well maintained. Receptive greens are small enough to give a good challenge. A little slower than some, but just forces you to adjust your game. Can be tight in spots and will force you to be disciplined in your play.

Interesting back nine, boring front nine. Poorly conditioned overall and the bunkers are actually dirt pits, no sand. They have sold off thier driving range and practice area to a housing development, probably wont be long until they sell off the rest of the course. If it was $10 and I happened to be driving by I may play it again, otherswise, no. There are just too many good courses on the Northside to waste four hours on this place.
