Very beautiful park. Salt Creek is nice.

People are letting their dogs run free off leash! I can’t get out of my car with my dog to walk because I’m afraid of what would happen if one of them ran up to us. A dog leashed will protect and I don’t want mine hurt because we’re following the rules! I’ve seen forest preserve police turn the other way!

This place has a lot of different trails and it feels very secluded except when you get best the expressway. I thoroughly enjoyed coming here!

Very nice area. Some of the trails need to be mowed as they were 1 person wide. With current conditions, not able to pass others going opposite way, had to wait and give way.

Really nice park. Nicely kept too. Wish there were more restrooms and picnic tables.

Love Bemis woods. I used to volunteer there back in 8th grade. Great place in the area for nature walks. Also check out Go Ape high ropes course. Highly recommend.

I was at the forest preserve at 620pm and there is no sign stating it closes at sunset. It wasnt even dark yet. Online it says the forest preserve closes at 7pm. So anyone wanna tell me why I get a ticket for being there after hours.? Rude cop last name Brown. He harrased us and boxed us in threating to impound our vehicle and arrest us. I will be fighting this in court, I dont appreciate the way I was treated.i called 911 when I felt in danger and was told by the phone operator basically that more of his friends would be coming who did I think would come when I called 911. It was not fair the way I was treated. I did nothing wrong. My ticket by the way is for knowingly and willingly being in the forest preserve after hours. Clearly the cop cant retain information because when he approached us we said we thought it closes at 7pm. Either way dont go here might cost you your freedom, all because some cops like to abuse their power and are money hungry. I thought nature belonged to everyone.

Great place for a good walk outdoors

I needed to find a place to film a short birthday greeting for a friend on my way home from a meeting...wow, was this the perfect place!!!

First time going and did my baby’s 1st bday!Place is awesome we had plenty of rooms for petting zoo and ponys. Has a little trail/ maze of flowers my daughter did a mini photo shoot lol amazing pics I want to frame now! Quite amd relaxing place :)

Nice, clean place. Good for picnic and stuff. They have trails in the woods. You can run or ride a bicycle. You can also rent a bicycle there. Went there fishing but didnt catch anything.

Great place for a hike with a surprising number of trails. You can hear traffic all the time but we are not too far from Chicago. It also has feilds in picnic areas. Its really more than trees. I have gotten ticks here multiple times...that means it must have something to keep people coming back!

Location. Location. Location. Great spot. Plenty of parking. Plenty of field space that MOWED and safe for kids. Whether you want to walk, jog, bike or have a family picnic this is a great spot. Easy to get to, plenty if trail and shade. Surely going to be back as the businesses located minutes away are key. Plus they have a few nice attractions for wanting to escape and not have to go far

Say what you will about Cook Co politics, the forest preserve system spends our tax dollars well. I enjoyed taking the dog on a hike and was impressed by how well-maintained the grounds were. I didnt feel unsafe going around dusk, and there were plenty of people jogging or riding bikes, plus you have the forest preserve police force HQ nearby and they patrol the area. The best part is Salt Creek!

Nice blend of trails (gravel/asphalt) long stetches that are covered by trees make the open areas tolerable. Not as highly congested in the afternoons.

This place is so peaceful and serene. Although you can hear cars in the distance it doesnt take away from the value. Theres port-a-potties nearby, picnic tables, trash cans, ash bins, route maps, bike trails, a river and even bike rentals now. I love to take my son here.

Nice spot for a walk!

Went here for the first time today. The Salt creek trail runs through this park, its a nice paved trail with easy rolling elevation changes. To the south of the creek there are several mowed trails that loop around, these trails are a bit swampy in parts and dont seem to get much use, but make a nice cushioned surface to run on. Nice place to spot some wildlife in the west suburbs.

Great adventure course for kids. My adventurous 3-year old has a blast, but my kids is more able than most. Older kids were having a blast too. Mom went along and found the course very challenging. A great adventure for brave kids of all ages. Ends in a fun short Zipline.

Bemis woods is beautiful. Very peaceful and tranquil. Good for walking, running, biking, anything really. Open areas for picnics and get togethers. There are some dirt trails as well. Its my favorite place to ride to.

An excellent place to bring older kids for a high ropes course adventure. Nice paved bike trail. As a runner, I prefer crushed gravel--easier on my knees.

Nice walk trail and bike trail

This is a very beautiful woods and picnic area. Easy to get to just off 294. The whole area is filled with paved biking trails. Very nice. There is ample free parking. We parked at the picnic grounds. Then headed off biking to the east to the zoo. Down along the railroad and back W to LaGrange. You can visit the Callaghan home featured in the 1995 movie While You Were Sleeping. From this Bemis Woods, you can see a lot of nice natural beauty, and use it as a starting point to see pretty houses in nearby bike-friendly neighborhoods.

They added a multi-hour zip line course (for $30 - $60 a person), nice clean preserve, better then it was 30 years ago.

Not sure if the hippies are still holding court on the weekends like they did in the 90s, and whys goape gotta be closing mah trails? Still, this is a nice preserve with lots of ground to cover via bike and hiking trails. Pavilions O Plenty!

The park might have been nice on a dry, sunny day. It rained and there was no paved or gravel walkway to the covered seating area. There wear A LOT of mosquitoes!!

This is a great forest preserve with lots of trails both paved and unpaved. It also has a ropes skills course which looks like it would be really fun when it opens back up when the weather is nice.
