Booked the entire room for my daughter & her friends. The staff were friendly and you wont find a more reasonably priced escape room on Long Island. Trust me, I looked! This was my first time in an escape room & I enjoyed it quite a bit. My only complaint is that the door we were supposed to escape out of once solving the clues was never locked so the kids kept opening it but otherwise the room was challenging and the staff provided helpful hints when we contacted them thru the provided walkie talkie. Lastly, I had a lot of trouble finding them because their entrance is on the side of the building next to Cash for Gold. Plus there is very little parking in the lot so youll have to park on the street.
Fun, challenging and entertaining. Rooms are a bit small when you have 8-10 people. Clues are tricky but understandable. Been twice, looking forward to exploring the last room.
Pretty good escape rooms not the best i have been to but the rooms are good.
I was really hoping for a better experience. We went for the DaVinci room and as it was a timed escape room it was mostly figuring out combinations to all the locks ... not much else in the way of puzzles. And only in 1 room.
Room was challenging but also very simple. You get 3 hints and I recommend no more than 6 people per room.
Weve done multiple escape rooms at different places and this one personally wasnt our favorite. The whole objective is to escape and get out of the room but if you need a clue they literally enter the room to help you instead of guiding you through a camera/walkytalky which sets you out of the mood of the whole game. It was one person running multiple rooms rather having one person on each room guiding you through when you need it and knowing where youre at. They also basically gave us the answer instead of a hint in the room. Also some of the things to solve was basically a shot in the dark and theres no way you would think to figure out the answers and it just didnt make sense. It was a alright experience. I hope this review helps others!
It was cool we won. Couldve done without the nasty attitude from the game master. Room could be updated but still cool.
We’ve done numerous rooms. Poorly put together. You get what you pay for. Yes, we got out, very easily. Pay the extra and get the full experience elsewhere.
Extremely disappointed! We called an hour and a half before our appointment at 6pm and spoke to Vinny that we would be about 10-15 minutes late because we were coming from Brooklyn and there was a lot of traffic. The room is beyond small for 10 people. We came about 10 mins lates and visibly saw the employees sitting down and they saw us. We were speaking loudly, knocked on the door, we ran the door bell but no one came. After waiting an extra 10 minutes, we called and had to ask them to let us in. Vinny had left to go home at 6pm but he assured us that the escape room game would start 10-15 mins later. However, that was not the case. When I asked why they didn’t let us in earlier, INSTEAD OF SAYING SORRY the Asian employee made up excuses saying that the bell doesn’t work and we should have came inside ourself. WITHOUT ANY INSTRUCTIONS, she opened up the door and put us in the room. WE WERE LOST and had no idea what to do because she did not put in any effort to explain how the escaped room worked. Also, the escape room looked very DIY and sketchy. The Asian employee did not CHECK TO SEE IF WE EVEN PAID. It seems like anyone can just walk in late since they don’t check to see if you paid for the escape room. The employees working PUT NO EFFORT into their job. We visibly saw them on their phones and eating. They should pay more attention and explain better instead of making excuses to the customer.
This place always exceeds ur expectation. Win loose or lifelines u r guaranteed to have a good time
It was not what I expected, cheap looking place.
A lot of fun. Will definitely do it again
Ben was Yuge... did all three rooms and had a very nice time
Got a Groupon for very cheap. My wife and I had a great time and we were the only ones there. Had a blast.
Really fun experience customer service was fantastic definitely worth the time and money and relatively inexpensive
Good time. My group did Asylum. Good experience. Working with my coworkers outside of the work setting was the difficult part. Everybody running in different direction and just hollering out guesses. Jeez, people, just let me think.I want to go back to try Da Vincis Workshop.
They need a little more creativity
Need to spruce up (could barely see the colors on a hint). Fun times though, good times
Really fun! The worker (Vinny) was very nice and kind enough to give us extra time to finish the room its a great time highly recommend.
Fun place with challenging room. We completed the Vault with a few minutes to spare. Would recommend for smaller groups. Large groups may have space issues.
One small room filled with 10 people solving some riddles. My expectation was for something a little scarier with dimmed lights and spooky music to at least set the tone. I felt that there was no attempt to add to the facade. You were just informed of the room theme and that was it.
Nice fun outing... could be better
Funny. Its interesting as a team dynamics and is also funny. Claustrophobic people may feel bad as the room is considerably small. The clues are not sometimes obvious and some times the form they were done looks a little bit amateuristic, but that may be the idea. That said, its cool and a clever exercise for your brain.
I would give it more stars but the young Asian girl was extremely rude and snappy. She had no manners whatsoever. Please hire someone new.
This place was a waste of money. Your in a small room trying to figure out clues you will never get.
I liked it because it was really a puzzle game fun for kids. The staff is super nice. But they will only give you three hints if your stuck. Also the only big room is the spy one, the rest is too small for ten people.
The place is nice. Not too far from Queens, about a 30 minutes drive. The offer we received was even better than the one Groupon had, you should call and ask them directly. We were 8, and we took a whole private room. I had high expectations for the puzzles, since this was my first time, but I was kinda disappointed. I liked the overall experience, and I would probably try the other two rooms later.
The staff was nice and helpful, but having successfully completed the vault and looked at reviews of the other rooms they had, the rooms here are extraordinary linear. We must have opened 12 boxes with either a combination of numbers or letters. The clues were good for the most part, and the hints we asked for were good, but the theming wasnt great, and I wouldnt consider this to be all that engaging.
Had a blast with my wife, son and his girlfriend
Really entertaining escape room. Very clever riddles that had my group going ohhh when given clues for help. Great way to spend an hour.
We did the Asylum room, really fun and interesting puzzles. Took us 35 minutes using 2 clues.
Had tons of fun escaping from the Vault. Great experience for groups...test your ingenuity.
The Groupon was good, the place is a hole in the wall. The entrance is in some obscure location. The lobby was freezing and the area near the bathroom smelled of urine...yuck!! The game room was tiny, there was NO way 10 people were going to have fun in that place. The puzzles were whack and the only way to work through a clue was with a lock. There were locks everywhere!! The clues pieces were shabby. Im just glad I didnt pay full price.Needless to say, I wont be back.
Challenging and lots of fun! Awesome way to spend an hour with friends.
I am as dumb as a rock so I hate this place lol but if you are the sharp type of person a.k.a know it all you will enjoy this place very much. It is nice to go out with friends and family to have a one hour of fun and laughter.
Oh boy. This escape room.I was on town for an event and during my free time met up with some friends to do a room. This was my 16th room. It was laughably BAD.We did the bank vault room. Sounds like a good theme with puzzles related to a bank, money, vaults, etc. WRONG. Only two of the puzzles were actually related to the theme.Normally when you have to ask for a clue when youre stuck, it makes sense once youre given it. Not here. Each time we just looked at each other and went that makes no sense bc it had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the theme. Snow White has nothing to do with a bank. Neither does pie. The puzzles in an escape room should be related to the theme and anything you need to solve the puzzle should be in the room already. We also had a lock that we put the correct code in many times but it wouldnt open for us.Wed also have to tell the game master where we were each time we asked for a clue since they dont monitor the rooms from the outside. It was also really run down and cheaply made. At one point, the items wed find in locked boxes were in ipsy bags (makeup) bags. Little bag jewelry bags arent expensive! Most of the items in the room had better days and could use to be replaced/upgraded to something a little bit more professional. We still had fun (mostly bc we couldnt stop laughing at how bad the room was) but Im glad this isnt a local room to me. If you are local, Im sure there are better ones in the area.
Good concept. We had fun despite being unable to escape but it was our first time and we chose one of the hardest level rooms. The room is quite small and max occupancy is 10 people. It might make those who are claustrophobic uneasy.
Like the other reviewer said there was just lock after lock after lock. Did this with a group and we had the correct combinations, but some locks were broken. Very boring compared to experiences people describe in other places that do this. I would bypass this place. Staff was nice, though.
So much fun! Definitely better in bigger groups!
Decent place. We did the asylum. Needs more variety though, felt like the only objective was to somehow open the lock. There were may be 15 locks to be opened.
It was the great escape. We felt discouraged at the end but we did it. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Terrible experience. Too many clues at once and we were rushed out at the end and yelled at by the creator. Would never return to this place again!
Was ok, I was expecting more
Great game. Craig was really helpful and staff was great. Difficult to locate the place.
Used a Groupon. Staff was great. Very helpful. Cant wait to go again and try the more difficult rooms.
Our clues were damaged from the group ahead of us, leaving us stuck for a long time until we asked for a clue. Also, the room wasn’t set up correctly (a door was unlocked that should have been locked) so we ended up solving something out of order, leaving us stuck again. Staff was friendly, but didn’t respond to all radio calls - we had to open the door to ask for assistance. The place really looked thrown together and not professional, we didn’t get to leave with souvoiner photos - just what we took on our own phones at the end.
Fun puzzle room but a little low end compared to other places. Kitchen timer in the room and a walkie talkie to speak to the puzzle master.
The place is a little hard to find with signage in the front of the building and the reception ses a little worn out. But my son and his friwnds seemed to have fun
Small room but theme was challenging.
We did a company outing here. It was a great experience.
It was fun. But everything was locks. Not much mystery.
Simple escape room
Its not well put together.
Loved it.
It was KooL as hell my kids had alot of fun and to me thats priceless
10 people in a small room trying to figure out clues. It was basically figuring out the combination to 20 locks. Did not enjoy it.
Best experience! Nick was amazing
Fun place
A very fun and exciting place for friends and family
Very fun
Kids had a great time.
The worst escape room Ive ever been toRooms are built for 4 people yet they cram 10Puzzles either broken or make no sense even after solvingPuzzles are 98% locksRoom shoddily thrown togetherIntro reads like a 2nd grader wrote it with Grammer to matchThey couldnt even pay to remove the watermarks on the images they use
Had a blast! Fun for the family!
Prior to this escape room, iv done about 5 others in Manhattan an Brooklyn. Which had multiple rooms to get into before escaping, this was 1 small room with alot of padlocks to unlock
Really fun, its a great challenge
Cool place, had fun
Not very well though out. Ive visited more clue oriented escape games
Chill place that made you over think. Even though some answers were obvious once discovered
Tried calling for information. Was sent to voicemail the first time and second was hung up on immediately. Not even going to try coming here.
It was a good experience. First time doing this.
The asylum one is too complicated
Small rooms, hard to find.
No thrill...
Had a great time!!!
Good time!
Fun and challenging!
Keep your mind and eyes open to everything around you
