I actually had a great experience when I went to Jerrys! Everyone was really nice and offered their help which I was surprised to see after reading a few reviews. Perhaps they made some changes! But anyway.. I really enjoyed being in the store itself. I wanted to spend hours there just seeing what they have and they have a LOT more than what my local Michaels had. Their pricing compared to Michaels/Amazon cannot be beat! I ended up buying more than I expected because I couldnt believe how well priced things were! When I checked out they had a giveaway and I won markers! Hello free art supplies! Amazing store and I will definitely be going back again! Please buy from your local businesses especially during Covid-19!

I have been going to Jerrys for art supplies for my non profit art foundation - Changing Images for years. The people couldnt be nicer or more knowledgeable and the prices are perfect as we are a grass roots organization that paints with patients, residents, family and staff in hospitals, nursing homes, shelters and schools. We bring color and comfort to those facilities in need. Jerrys helps us do it without breaking the bank!

I wanted to buy a gift for sister as she’s picking up on an old hobby. I went in and asked for help (yes they helped) but for my experience it was very unwelcoming. I genuinely wanted help but left feeling like I wasn’t suppose to go there at all.

Yesterday I purchased a soft acrylic paint brush and attempted to exchange it for a natural bristle brush today. I presented the brush and receipt. The very curt and unpleasant woman behind the counter said they don’t accept exchanges. No accommodation whatsoever. I will never give them my business ever again and would urge others to find another art supply store.

Love the inventory, very competitive price and variety plus local! Sounds like a win right?? WRONG, the staff is beyond horrible! The older heavy set white lady is less than polite to be nice. and the Chinese/Korean guy not sure of his nationality has such a cantankerous attitude! Not be going back! So now, I drive all the way to Michaels on rt 10 or i travel to hobby lobby on rt 22 which sucks because Jerry’s inventory is bar none! The store is much bigger than it seems from the outside, and they carry a wide variety of items for use in various media. I found their prices better than the chains like Michaels and Blick, and the selection a bit better, too. Staff were friendly and helpful, as well.

I’ve been shopping here for years. The supplies are very fairly priced. So, I’m sad to have to write this review. I was shopping in the store with a mask on and missed the sign that says we’re required to wear gloves. When I got to the register to check out, first of all the woman behind the counter ignored me until I stood there for a minute. When she finally acknowledged me in a very rude tone she informed me about the glove policy. When I apologized and she didn’t even want to accept my apology. Now I am a young African American girl. When I finished checking out the an older white woman behind me was pushing a cart up to the register. The woman behind the counter said nothing about the glove policy. I’ve read some reviews and saw how some other AAs were treated. Honestly I hope she isn’t the owner. But either way I will be finding a new place to get my art supplies from.

The employee treated me poorly when I just asked where was the clay located in the store. Very uncomfortable and its very sad that I had to write this review, I was expecting a very welcoming atmosphere but I received the opposite of that.

Very disappointed my son has all of these art suplies he cannot use and will not use. Now we are stuck not mention we are out of nearly $100 dollars! I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been going to Jerrys for years. They have wonderful sales on brushes and Arches paper, so much better priced than many stores. The staff is pretty knowledgeable and very helpful. I teach painting and drawing, and in addition am an exhibiting artist. I tell all my students to go there and not waste their time on a Michaels or equivalent. I get many of my own personal supplies there as well.well worth the drive.Ive read some reviews and many rave about the store. And Bonnie is great. I will say there is a guy there, a manager who can be very rude as some people have commented on. He also seems rude to the staff as well. I have spent thousands in the store as do some other patrons as well. He can be accommodating but can also be just rude. Maybe he just gets in a bad mood? I generally ignore him or try to when hes there.The way he treated an African American patron that commented about him really disgusts me. I do hope that the owner doesnt accept this kind of behavior. Honestly, if I had an employee who acted like that towards one of my customers whether a person of color or not, Id seriously consider firing them. That kind of behavior should never be accepted, or tolerated. Be better than this!

I first visited Jerry’s last year and was not disappointed. They have a wide variety of art supplies and the customer service was excellent. Every staff member was pleasant and it made shopping there a thoroughly enjoyable experience! I wish I lived closer; I’d be shopping there every week!

I love the store as I dont get a chance to go out to buy my art supplies often(mostly I do it online).However, I have to relate something that I experienced when I was there earlier this month(December 2019)thats kind of bothering me : i was with a friend from out of town when I got the curious feeling of being followed around the store by an employee in that uncanny way that only some of us understand(...and no, this is not paranoia...it happens). Nearly everywhere in the store I or my friend happened to be, this gentleman was there also... giving the uneasy feeling that we were going to either hold up the place or try to pocket something(which I can assure you would never happen-although I shouldnt have to). It was a little humiliating, and the entire experience left me wondering if Ill be coming back(oh well, theres always ebay). Otherwise, its a well-stocked art supply store.

There arent many art shops like Jerrys around. They have a great selection of specialty art supplies that you cannot get at the chains like Michaels, Joann Fabrics, or Staples. The staff is knowledge and take time with customers to help them find the perfect items for their projects.

Im a dabbler, I like to try different things and when I need supplies, equipment or advice I always go to Jerrys. What makes the difference is the people that work there, they really know what theyre doing and always go out of their way to help you. Im doing a lot of matting and framing lately and was looking for parts to put a custom frame together, the people at Jerrys walked me through all of my options and made the process very easy. Theyre very patient, informative and a pleasure to interact with. And if the person feeling you doesnt have the answer, they will find the person that does. They all really make the difference. Highly recommend

Contacted this store about items that they typically carry everyday, but over half of the requested items were out of stock. The gentleman on the phone nonchalantly said, Were not a grocery store and can not promise you when they will be in. This was not a supportive answer for a prospective customer looking to make an important purchase from their store.

One of my favorite art supply stores, best in the area.Have been going here since the early 2000s, so thats around 18 years or so. I used to go to Pearl, but almost all of them (if not all of them) have closed down in the NJ area, and this place became my go to place for art supplies. The service is decent, and they have plenty of supplies for the budding artists, students and professionals. They cover all kinds, painting, sculpture, encaustics... tons of stuff for the creative.Cheers!

Great local art supply store with a large selection of high-end media and materials. They won’t have the lowest prices but they are fair about the markup and I accept that is just the way it must be to have an actual “physical” store to visit. I really like this place. The staff is helpful, the prices a lower than other places for the same quality. Its an artists dream for me AND its right next to Cold Stone! Lol. Only thing is I wish they didnt run out of things. I went there (25 minute ride one way) just for jumbo compressed charcoal in 6B (because I saw it on their website) and the space was empty and there was none in stock. Still this is my #1 art store.

Ive never had a bad visit to Jerrys. They have an enormous selection and great prices. The sales associates are also very knowledgeable and friendly and I always have a pleasant conversation at check out. This place has pretty much anything you could want for any skill level. Ive gone to art stores 4 times as big and not been able to find the supplies I need, but Jerrys always has what Im looking for. My boyfriend frequently has to drag me out before I spend my life savings. Also, when they have their big copic marker sales, you will not find a cheaper price anywhere, even online. Overall, Jerrys is the best art store Ive ever visited.

I am a screen printing professional, and Jerrys is my go to place in an emergency or a catastrophic situation on weekends, when my industrial vendors are closed on weekends.Their sales staff is gracious, patient, professional and will not rush you. They are there to help you. Their customer attention and service are exemplary, and I will always continue to remain a loyal customer.

Biggest art selection weve seen around. They have everything we were looking for in more varieties than we have had to choose from in other stores.I would say this is more artist oriented than other craft stores.The prices for sketchbooks was so great we had to buy one. And the had the ones that the pages flip over making it easier to leave a page open while drawing.Not crowded when we went about an hour before closing.Didnt have to ask any questions this time so we dont know yet how great they are at helping.But well be back to buy more!

This store was recommended to me by a professional artist. Excellent for when youre looking for something more advanced/specific than basic brands that Michaels stores offer. Jerrys selection of art supplies is amazing. Just be prepared to find a lot more awesome stuff you need/want then you expect.

Beware of this store! They refuse to give discounts listed and have absolutely horrendous customer service. Drove two hours to get here and was charged twice the listed price on my purchase! Terrible! -- UPDATE based on the lies from Bonnie -- I called ahead of my trip to the store to make sure they had the discounted set of markers. They did! I asked them to put the set aside and Id hop in the car right away to pick them up. They said no problem and that theyd have them at the register. Christmas was coming and I was going to get so many super awesome partner points for this set of markers! I live two hours from this store, but my wife uses these markers every day, so the discount was well worth the drive to me. Upon arrival at the store, no one knew anything and said they were all out of those markers at the discount. I made clear that I called and that the person on the phone and was assured the set of markers would be at the register. I asked that the same set be made up from individual markers simply to get the same markers at the same price since the store had clearly screwed this up and I was making a four hour round trip. I would understand your soda at the grocery analogy except that the grocery store, they actually keep stock, keep their word to customers, and honor coupons. No one ever offered to order the markers at a discounted price and have them shipped to me. No one offered any kind of solution to a problem created by the store. The fact that you come here to lie to the public about what your store does and doesnt do is disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself for this treatment of someone that used to be a regular customer. Following this transaction, and worse, your blatant lies about it, I will not be spending the thousands on art supplies that I used to get from your store. Beware of this store!

I thought this was one of the Jerrys artarama franchise initially and went there to shop. They have a humongous amount of stuff here. For anyone that is looking for art supplies, this place has pretty much all the stuff. Although, it isnt as wide in its range like Michaels is, its not a bad place to buy a few emergency supplies. I only give it a 4 star instead of 5 because I didnt find a few shades I was looking for.

He profiled me as a shop lifter and when I called him out on it, rather than apologize he started an argument.As someone thats worked in retail if youre truly interested in someone buying something you great them warm and friendly. Horrible store and staff. I visited Jerrys this past Sunday with my brother to pick up some Color Aid Paper and I will never visit this store again!!! I rather take a visit into the city to Pearls or Blick! A store associate asked if we needed help and we asked for the color aid paper. She showed where it was and walked away without asking if we needed further help. There was a box that was already opened so my brother was looking at it. Out of no where, two store associates were hovering over us, staring us down. I asked my brother which one is the packet you need and he picked it. Then very rudely one of the store associates grabs the open box and says Are you not going to close the box? The way you found it? Mind you he raised his voice. I kindly said it was found that way. He grabbed the box and started slamming it on the counter and said Sure it was!. Never again will I visit this store again! They are over priced and horrible staff members.

This store has a terrible return policy. After purchasing a standard size frame and discovering that the artwork it was intended for was slightly too large, they refused to accept a return of the frame, just because it had been opened. Manager was very rude. I will not shop here again.
