SUPER-disappointed with our experience here.Nickel Mania is essentially a casino for little kids. The games turn off after like 15 seconds; just enough time to get the child excited to play. So, they immediately want to feed the games money. But there’s no satisfaction in actually playing the game. The only thing this place is missing is scantily-clad waitresses passing out juice boxes. If you want to go to an old-fashioned arcade with your kids, skip this place. If you’re wanting to teach your kids how to get addicted to the casino life, have fun.
I was waiting on my car to be repaired nearby and found this place. Staff was super nice and they had a fantastic collection of arcade and pinball. Love how’s its segregated from the reception games in front for kids and the 80s 90s pinball and arcades toward the back. Clean, well maintained, I’m glad places like this still exists. A++++
I really had a great time! Im not sure how crowded it normally is, but we went on a Saturday morning and there were only a handful of people. It was easy to maintain social distancing and I think almost every single game worked! My only sadness is that the ticket games didnt seem to give very many tickets.
For nickel mania you think they would be able to take a 100 bill for 4 people plus$ 30+ in nickels. Thank goodness for Macys across the street they give change. Heads up Macys will give you change
So I took my boy and my girl friend here and had a blast... This is one of the best nickle arcade places I have been to for a good long time..Very clean and all the games worked!!And the staff were friendly to a point..And u dont need to break the bank to go here either ... Good fun for the whole family...Thanks nicklecade ... Look forward to coming back soon ...
Good times for the kids. Lots of old school games that I loved as a kid. Fun fun fun.
Nice spacious place with lots to do, but the card swipe thing ruins most of the fun of the Nickelcade. I understand its because of covid but it just sucks and isnt as fun.
Fun games even though the ticket payout was not great. Good customer service.
Super fun will go there again next weekend!
Nice place. Lots of games, both new and old
Amazing arcade, literally the best Ive been to in years. 100/10, will be back.
This place has a fantastic range of pinball machines, they are in very good order and are really cheap to play, modern Stern machines 25 cents a credit, older machines 10 cents. There is also a wide variety of vintage arcade video machines at 5 or 10 cents a credit! There is a 2.25 entrance fee but still the bargain of the century. Its clean and well lit. All in all I had a great time.
Surprisingly good. Especially for a place of its type. Normally the nickel arcade leads to a lower quality place. But the sheer popularity of it makes it a decent place. I quite loved it. Certainly would recommend it. Very cheap, the people are laid back too.
It was a throw back to my childhood. I had a great time.
The staff that work here even though they are young and sing like just kids they are very respectful very helpful and their Fair
A great hangout place! Me and my friends come here at least once a week, my favorite game to play is Dance Dance Revolution!
It was fun. Spend 22 dollars for tokens. And we got good amount tickets. And there was older games and lot newer games. They were fun and enjoy it. So Im looking forward to go back
I absolutely love this Nickel Mania! Huge selection of pinball from old to newer. Including the two best machines ever built, The Adams Family and The Cyclone. Lots of old and older arcade games. Plenty of games that you can earn points that you can redeem for prizes. Fun for everyone!!
I love this place, but tonight I went to redeem the cards from the wizard of oz game. The game clearly states that the cards are 50 tickets each, in large letters below the display on the machine in black letters “collect all 7 and receive 1000 bonus tickets”.When I went to cash in the cards for the tickets mentioned on the machine, the guy behind the counter refused. He went to another guy behind the counter who also told me that they would not honor it. I’m very frustrated. Spent a ton of money on the dang game to collect all the cards and they wouldn’t honor what their machine says.
Been coming here for years love this place.
Nice place, reasonably priced. The cards were not initially loaded as they should have been. However, management was quick (and very willing) to resolve the issue. We didnt know to swipe card AFTER game ended to pick up digital tickets.Good mix of old and new games. Also, good mix of games for young kids, teenagers, and adults.
Very clean and safe. Ran on cards even tickets. Not very busy fun and safe.
Great place for kids and adults.
So much fun and cheap!
I seriously don’t understand how super cool games like this can be in a nickel mania. It felt like boondocks or Dave and busters, but still just as cheap as a nickel cade!
This place just opened October 2018. It is by far the best nickel arcade Ive ever been too. They had a huge selection of games for babies to adults! They have baby rides for the little starting around 18 months. They have simple games for kids ages 2 and 3. They have lots of games for school age kids. They even have games for adults like all the original space ship and super mario video games. The staff is nice and ready to help when things arent working. Admissions is cheap. We spent $8 on nickels and played for 2 hours. They have DDR which is seriously one of my favorite games!!
Fantastic game selection for a smaller place. My 4-year-olds loves it and wants his next birthday party there. The party rooms are comfortable enough and good to have when the place is very busy like on weekends. Mid-week is usually more fun without crowds.
Fun but there wasnt a lot of games that were cheaper
Not a bad place. It was so packed with people. Clearly this is what West Jordan families do to have fun in the show. The games do not give out many tickets for winning, I was kind of shocked at that.
Love this place. For around $20, you can get two hours of entertainment for a family of 3. Prices are reasonable and, since its newer, this location is pretty clean compared to some of the other locations.
This is a fun place to go with the kids and for parties. They used to have a physical ticket reward system, but switched over to a card based rewards where all the points are stored on a card. This is nice because you dont have to carry around tickets, but on the other hand, my card reset after winning a jackpot and I lost all the points I had earned. If you have multiple cards with points on it, they can combine the points to one card, but make sure they hand you the correct card with the points on it. They threw my card with all the points into a bucket and gave me a 0 balance card instead. They were able to find it eventually, but it was a hassle as they didnt believe me that either the points were erased or they gave me the wrong card. No apology was given either after they found it. It was very busy that Saturday afternoon during my sons birthday party, so I can also understand their frustration. We went there last year for his party also, but didnt have any problems with the physical tickets we had won.
Theres this game near the back, ice cold beer, 10/10 would spend hours playing that freaking game
We had our sons 7th birthday party here and it went great! Everything was ready when we got there and the kids had a blast! I love that the Dollar tree is right next to it because I forgot forks and a lighter. The staff was super friendly too! I totally recommend this place for a party!
Had my sons 9th birthday party here, it turned out great!! Jayden is a sweet heart with great costumer service! Games are fun KIDS & PARENTS enjoyed their time! Cant beat the price for this much fun!
Fun please but the number of games that give tickets is lacking. I did not go there for tickets but if thats your thing you might be disappointed. The arcade portion is great. There are lots of old school games and an extensive amount of pin ball machines.
Great place to take young kids. Has all different games for each age group. You can usually find some coupons online but it is very affordable in the first place.
We recently had my sons birthday party here with his school class. It was great! All the kids had fun (so did the adults). At other places, birthday parties can be expensive and you need to know the exact number of kids attending up front. Nickel Mania was really flexible and only charged us for the kids that attended. We did the supreme party and I didnt have to bring anything, they took care of it all, even nickles for the kids to play games. Next time I would order an additional pizza. They provide one for every 8 kids, which was just barely enough. It was fine, but I should have purchased an extra. It is an option. We will probably do this each year. They made it so easy.
Great for kids and adults! Games are 10-40 cents. Nice goodies to trade for points as well.
I love this nickel arcade specifically because of their selection of pinball machines. Champion Pub and twilight zone in one place is perfect. Pretty new so it doesnt feel run down. Saturdays and fridays are understandably busy so if that bothers you then hit it up on a weeknight
Amazing place! Super clean. Its huge and it has a great pinball selection. They have great things for the toddlers to ride.
I absolutely love this place. Its a ton of fun! Its like that other nickel place, but instead its actually cleaned and they make sure their games work. Its a fantastic place to have birthday parties for a phenomenal price too.
This place is awesome dude! All the workers are so friendly and they help with everything they can. Saturday’s are crazy busy but it’s still fun. The machines all work and they are all fun!! I really recommend going to this place.
Describing this place as the best arcade in Utah would be in understatement. Nickel mania was probably the best Nickel Arcade that Ive ever been to. I have a couple of kids and Ive gone to plenty of birthday parties at Nickel Arcade centers. This place had 5 to 6 dedicated party rooms it had all of your typical ticket based arcades. Then it had a bunch of modern arcades but the best part was a vast array of vintage arcades that Ive ever seen they had probably 50 pinball arcades and they had probably two dozen arcade games from the 80s and probably two dozen arcade games from the 90s. I was in heaven I highly recommend you go here
Went there for a date night turned into an every Tuesday adventure. Fun place and cheap.
My kids love this place. Great for family. love my kids love to play the old games as well as the new
I go here every other Friday with my dad and sister. This Nickel Mania is better than the one by fashion place. This Nickel mania has much more games and prizes. And I’m super excited they are remodeling yesterday and today
Loved the experience! The place is spotless clean and the staff is very friendly. EVERYTHING was in working order and very well maintained! No out of order signs on anything and they have a TON of stuff. If you love old school arcade games and pinball as well as carnival games and interactive games then you will love this place too!
Take my little brother here when he is visiting he loves it! fun games for adults as well.
Games were generally in good working order. Most games were more than one nickel, which is fine for new stuff, but seemed over the top for the old stuff. The place was clean and staff were helpful. I would go back.
Fun place, helpful staff, good-sized party rooms - well be going back.
Lots of fun. Clean and well maintained. Dont let the name fool you. Yes there are lots of video games you can play for nickels vs quarters, but they make their bank on the ticket games. The good prizes are thousands and tens of thousands of tickets to redeem. Ultimately scaling their profit for the good prizes. You can easily plan to spend tens or hundreds of dollars over time to save up for stuff that you could buy for a fraction of the cost... but the point is that its fun right? Great place to take the family for a quick cure to boredom.
This is a fairly new location, and it is huge! Much larger than the other one. They pretty much have everything including some old school games. It was busy when I went, but I was still able to play the games I wanted to play. Would highly recommend it if you want a cheap place to entertain your family
Went here for a birthday party. The amount we spend at other arcades that last about an hour you could probably play the same amount in 3 to 4 hours. My kids had a blast.
Love this new location! Very clean! There is a coupon on the website for entry.
Eh not to bad of a place to come and play, definitely will not be having another birthday party over here ever again. It took over 20min of our time just to check in and we felt rushed to try and get everything else ready.
It is very fun but is can be very hard to get a lot of ticket. But it is still fun
This place os bigger and seems a lil more kept up than the murray location...now the load your nickles on a card ...kids had fun thats all that matters
I love Nickel Mania. Its like Nickelcade, but they clean it and the games actually work. I have a 21 year old son whos had numerous birthday parties at the Murray location and my 7 and 4 year old had their latest party at the West Jordan location which is only a vast improvement. Table rentals are CHEAP, you can bring in your own food and save a TON of money, and everyone has a blast. The games are fun (but in full disclosure, very few are only one nickel anymore) and the staff has always been super generous of your kid is only 2-3 tickets away from the prize they desperately want. I really love them and my kids have a blast every time we come.
Great place for some entertainment playing video games, pinball and other games we were there for a birthday party. Hopefully we get invited to another party
Great place. It is clean, well maintained and nice and bright. Bday parties are fun too. Just rent a party room for an inexpensive fee. We go here often.
Interesting arcade. Lots of old games, and high priced prizes. My son loved it while going for a birthday party.
Very good arcade. Its very big and the games are nicely spaced out so you dont run into other people. There can be a bit of a wait to talk to an employee, especially on Saturdays when the arcade is busiest. Try to avoid Saturdays if you can. You can tell they try hard to keep everything clean and well-maintained; overall they do a great job.
The Murray location is the one Ive gone to since I was a kid but I recently fell in love with this location. I love the amount of old school games. Also a bigger space and less crowded.
Fun. Nice party rooms. They dont use nickels anymore.
Went to this place on a Saturday afternoon which was probably the worst time. They had lots of birthday parties going on, as well as people just bringing their kids in for fun. It was 2.25 to get in, and then you can buy bags of nickels in $2 or $5 increments. The thing is, the games take 4 to 8 nickels per turn, so the money goes fast. Also, the line to redeem tickets for toys was ridiculous. We probably sat in line at least 30 minutes. So I took one star off for the slow service. Also, if you wanted to buy more bags of nickels, you had to get back in line with the people that were initially entering for the first time. Took forever!
Great experience no longer using nicklesnow they have a card system which makes it way easier to play and it loads your tickets to it as well so dont lose the card.
Fun 18 year ago. Still fun today. My 5 and 7 year old had a blast. The guy at the ticket counter was very nice to my daughter when she was short 25 tickets.
Super Fun! Lots of games. A few were not working. Most games take at least 4 nickels.Prize selection is sub par but throttles like it.The West Jordan location is much bigger and cleaner than the Murray location and it had 3x the staff to help you!
We had a great time with the kids here. Apparently the magnetic cards instead of a bag of nickels is a recent upgrade and works well. They have a ton of new games and even a section of classics that I remembered (after a few trys).I would say that most or the average would be 2 nickels per game. Admission is $2.25 ish but either way its an inexpensive activity for the family.
This is a great place to entertain people of all ages!Admission is cheap and you can load your play card with as much as you want. Each game will run you anywhere from 1 to 6 nickels to play so even for us adults who were just trying to top each others pinball scores, we played for about 2 1/2 hours on $5 worth of credits. They have plenty of different games for all ages, some you can win tickets at and some you dont. They have one of the best pinball machine collections Ive ever seen! They have the old tires and true arcade games you dont really see any more (street fighter, 6 player Xmen, old school pac man, OG Tron, Digdug to name a few) as well as newer shooter and riding style games. They also have facilities for parties.Excellent entertainment for the price!!
Fantastic place to birthday parties.Nice and clean
These guys are really good about working with kids with autism.
Had a birthday party there. Overall, it was smooth. Super busy but the kids had a great time and its pretty cheap overall.
Fun place to take kids. Keep in mind, weekends are quite busy.
Always a good time. Kids loved it. Many video games and ticket ones for the kids. I do wish they had more classics like the original Street Fighter but overall a good time and not very expensive
Dude. The games are a nickle. You have to go here! Some are broken sometimes, but I mean. Its an arcade, what do you expect? Its really fun though, and you dont have to spend your tickets the same visit, you can hold on to the counted ticket receipt.
I miss using the Nickles and collecting the tickets. Great for Birthday parties.
You gotta try Pinball. Its pretty cool, I think
This place is AWESOME! The games cost nickels(one or more) to play. Some games are just for fun, and some give you tickets, which you can exchange for prizes. Some games one may get HOOKED ON.
This is a fun arcade to go to. I brought a date here and we had a lot of fun with all the variety of arcade games they have here. I think they had less then a handful of games that were out of order while we were here. The staff was friendly and willing to help. If you are looking to pay with a credit card, then you have to have a minimum of $5 purchase. Over all this was a fun place to go to.
Super fun place for kids and adults
Lots of fun for the family
Super fun, lots of fun games to play!! I only rate a 4 star as some of the games wouldnt work or wouldnt give us tickets. Their wasnt a lot of staff to help us. You also cant go to your car and back in even though you pay admission. Overall a great experience even though the flaws!! Definitely will be going back with the kids!!
Loads of fun for the whole family. Those of us that miss the old arcades can find a nice quiet corner to enjoy the classics as well.
We have a blast every single time that we go here. The atmosphere is not only for children, but supports an enjoyable time for adults, teenagers, or children. Most games arent one nickle, so be aware of that, but it is significantly less expensive than other arcades. I would recommend the West Jordan location because it is large and has a massive variety of games!
Place is amazing. There are so many games it was like reliving my childhood all over again. The arcade was very clean and the employees were awesome. Over 40 pinball games, some very rare. Overall a great afternoon and would definitely do it again.
For the people who love to play those classic arcade games, there is a wide selection of the classics, heck there is just a wide selection for everything. If you like pinball they have 2 full rows just for you. If you like the new arcade games, the whole front of the place is filled with them. There is a place for every type of person in there. If you really want to play some games, go here!
Video games have not been my thing for many years, however I was introduced to Nickel Mania a couple weeks ago when I dropped off my son for a birthday party. For my sons birthday he really wanted to go back and so we took the family. I have two teenage daughters and although one of them came kicking and screaming in the end they both had a very fun time even though it was packed we never really had to wait on any games and the pricing was reasonable. Back in the far corner they even had a couple of rows of classics from Pac-Man 2 Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Im sure we will be going back again.
This Nickel Mania is much bigger and more well kept than the one that is closer to us. They have lots of games and lots of prizes. Its a great place for a cheap date night.
Had a great time there with are granddaughter. They have a lot of great games, even pinball for the older crowd that remembers them. Great time.
Good selection of machines
Great place to kill some time with the kids
The kids had a great time and for $25 (entry fees & $20 of nickles) my family was spending time together... HAPPILY!My only wish would be to have them add a snack bar (nachos, hot dogs, pizza slices, etc.) and I would say its perfect!
I love Nickel Mania my kids love it it has so many games it is the best place you could take them.
Way to much fun to be here. My wife and I love to come here when we can
