We used A Great Escape for my ten-year-old daughter’s birthday party, after hearing what a positive experience my sister had for her daughter’s 12th birthday party a few months earlier! We booked the Witches room and it looked so cool inside - the kids loved it! We had 8 guests for the party and they went into the escape room themselves! They were under 100% supervision by the friendly and fun Great Escape Staffer who monitored and helped them along with clues throughout their half-hour challenge. While they were inside, my husband and I window shopped Gardner Village. Talk about a stress free Children’s birthday party!! When we returned back to get the kids, we heard excited squeals coming from inside the room.... they were one step away from cracking the code when the time ran out! This was a total hit - we had boys and girls and they all loved it. They wore masks and hand-sanitized beforehand, and A Great Escape reassured us of their quality cleaning procedures in between groups. Thank you, A Great Escape!

I went with my 3 daughters all 12 and under. We had a great time. The girls were challenged and put under pressure and totally nailed it. We already booked round #2 for this upcoming Friday. We can’t get enough. My girls loved the detail, themes, and a chance to be challenged and work as a team/ family.

Great Escape is a Great place with a very Great and vibrant community. The escape rooms are pretty interesting and well put together. Did expect them to be as intricate as they were. Ive done Wizards (Got carried because I know nothing about Harry Potter) and Area 57 i think it was. They were pretty fun.

We had a group of 4 do the area 52 room. It was insane, and so fun. We love escape rooms and have done countless including all the Alcatraz rooms, and this was by far more exciting! It was very difficult making it more interesting. When they are too easy you don’t even worry about time, but with this one we thought for sure we wouldn’t get out. We did!! But it was hard! Definitely would recommend this place.

We took our Grandkids to the Escape Room and they had a wonderful time. They worked together and helped each other. It was great.

Did the harry potter room with the family and it was more fun than I expected! With our big group of 11 I wasnt sure that everyone would enjoy looking for clues, but we each played a part and had fun. Our game master Madison was very helpful in giving clues when we needed them and we were able to escape with 2 minutes to spare! The room was decorated in such a fun way and we could tell a lot of work went into the experience, which made me feel like it was worth the money. Thanks for making it a fun birthday and family experience!

The Grinch escape room was very well done. It was too hard for grandma and the kids under 7, but we all had a great experience. Alex the host was super!

A Great Escape was just that! For one hour we were able to put aside everything on our minds and just enjoy a game, and time together. The staff was amazing and helpful, and the room was clean and well organized. We will definitely be back!

It was super fun, I went with one other friend and we had a blast! we really enjoyed! we did the witches room and it was super fun and a pretty good challenge! They have lots of other rooms that sounded very interesting as well. I had never been to an escape room before, but I would recommend this one!

We had a group of 8 and that was just about perfect. The room we were in was difficult but doable. Our game master Alex was great and we had a really fun time!

Fantastic. Really enjoyed the family time with my wife and two kids. We did the witch escape room and the kids were able to really help out to complete the challenge. Definitely going back for a different room!

We just completed the new area 52 room. The creativity and imagination that went into this room was so amazing! This room was so unlike any other escape room I have ever been to. Whether your new to escape rooms or have lots of experience with them, you have to try this room. You won’t be disappointed!!!

I love going here! I have done both the Wizarding World room and the Area 52 escape room and I always have a great experience. The workers are always super nice and funny!!. Alex is also a great game master too!

I took my little kids to do t he Fairy Room challenge and we all three had a blast! The room was perfect for young kids. The staff was kind and helpful and very accommodating. I can’t wait for Halloween when they change this room to a witches theme, we’ll definitely be back!

Hailey was the best moderator! When we couldn’t understand the clues over the TV she would come in and explain it to us perfectly! So nice and welcoming- definitely coming back and trying all the rooms.

We did all 3 rooms we could! We went to our first ever escape room here on Monday and did a second that night with Alex as our game master, and we were so hooked we came back Wednesday to do the last one! 15/10 would recommend, our new favorite thing and it’s a great experience. Carrie did a great job helping us get through the hardest puzzle they have, and we had a blast!

We had an AMAZING experience in the area 52 escape room. Such a fun, brain testing activity! The staff was so friendly and welcoming too!

This was SO fun! We did it for a 9-year old birthday party. We did the wizard room and it was hard but I was still amazed at how well they did. We had to help them and they did need clues but they had a blast and still thought it was fun! We would do it again!

My Granddaughter, Son and I saved the Fairy this evening! This was our first ever Escape Room! We worked together and has a BLAST!! My granddaughter is 9 years old. We all participated and we all had a super fun time! I highly recommend this experience. We will definitely be returning!!

So much fun! Did a room that was meant for more than 2 people lol but it was still so interesting and challenging, the staff is very welcoming and understanding of your lack of understanding! Will go again.

We did the Harry Potter room with 6 of us. Super challenging but very immersive and fun. Requires teamwork to make it out in time. Can’t do it on your own.

We have done escape rooms at roughly ten different places in Salt Lake County. And I can pretty definitively say that none of them are quite as well polished and impressively themed as the Harry Potter room we did at A Great Escape. The puzzles were pretty good, but not necessarily head-and-shoulders above other places.I highly recommend doing an escape room here. Its a little bit pricier than some of the competition, but particularly if aesthetics are important to you (and they should be in an escape room!) this place should go on your list of places to try.

Visited the Harry Potter Escape Room at A Great Escape with a few friends and had an absolute BLAST! Alex was the host and he did an amazing explaining the rules and also providing clues as we asked for them throughout the hour time frame. The puzzles were just difficult enough that we barely made it out with two minutes to spare! Best Escape Room Ive ever been to!

The escape room we did was so much fun! Our kids joined us and my 10 year old was the life of the game. My 14 year old had a blast and solved many of the puzzles. My 16 year old stepped up to lead the rest of us. Just difficult enough for all to have fun, but not so much so that we couldn’t solve the problem. Must do when you’re at Gardner Village next!

Such a fun experience. Rachel was so knowledgeable and so helpful. My husband and I had never been and were interested in trying an escape room. She helped us pick an easier room and guided through it all. She gave us clues when we clearly needed them. We had so much fun and are so grateful for all Rachels help and making our date memorable!

I attempted to come here with out of state family who were only here for the day. We arrived prior to our scheduled time, however, they were not able to provide the service we paid for due to an electrical problem. Their refund policy states they do not issue refunds for cancellations or no shows. We did not cancel and we were there prior to our scheduled time, however, they refused to refund our money when they were not able to provide services. This is one of the worst customer experiences I have ever experienced the management is a joke and doesnt care about the customer.

I loved our experience here!! The room was SO fun! We did the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry room and we Loved it. The puzzles were fun and hard enough to make it interesting, but not so hard that we had to ask for clues. I will definitely be going again.

This room was pretty fun. We were able to complete all the tasks with 7 minutes to spare, but we did have to have 2 clues. The people running the game were very helpful and fun to talk to. My only complaint was that there weren’t a lot of puzzles in the room. There was one puzzle that was challenging and took a while, but I’d rather solve more problems than have to have help on one that takes forever.

Awesome escape room. Put together very well. Lots of puzzles, opening compartments, hidden surprises. Very friendly workers that want you to have fun. I will continue to come here for a great time. Very highly recommend coming here.

We have come 3 times now! We have done 3 different rooms and always with our kids. We love that it is family friendly. Our kids are 9 and younger (including a baby). They are so friendly and helpful. Its well done with really neat pressure points and triggers and sometimes hidden doors. So exciting! Last year when we went and I was pregnant, they even anticipated I may need to go potty during the hour room and paused it for me to go out. Lo! Great employees!! High quality and clean experience.

A 14 year old daughter and her friends went there for her birthday. They absolutely loved it!I loved that I was able to drop them off and they had a great time using their minds and NOT having any cell phones! We will definitely be back!! The only thing I do suggest is if they would offer a student discount!

I thought it was a really fun experience. Probably my biggest complaint was it was so hot in the room, wish they would’ve turned the air on. Also, they need to not make it so easy to reach inside the snake’s mouth to grab the box with the key in it. Someone with a small hand can reach in and grab it without needing to solve the puzzle (one of our participants actually just reached in and got the key out). But overall it was a lot of fun!

The website is not updated. They have upped the capacity of the rooms. We purposely had 8 in our group for the Wizard room to avoid being put in a group with strangers. To our surprise two strangers were added to our group. We also had a payment issue where one of our group got charged even though I paid ahead for everyone. I sent an email and was impressed that they responded just a few hours later on a Sunday. I would give the escape room it’s self five stars. It was great and we really enjoyed it. I do feel like 10 people for the wizard room is a little too much, Atleast the website needs to be updated so people don’t get surprised like we did.

Friendly staff and a lot of fun. This was the first time wed ever done an escape room and we decided on the wizard academy room even though its their hardest one. Fortunately some of us are really good at puzzles so we actually made it pretty far. We had a blast and would definitely do it again.

My wife and I have tried a lot of different escape rooms around the valley and this one (Witches of Mystic Manor) was definitely in our top 3! Intricate room that was beautifully designed without being so difficult you want to give up and a very friendly/helpful staff. We would highly recommend A Great Escape and will for sure be back to try another room!!

We had a blast! Our group of 8 ranged in age from 9-68 and we all participated and had so much fun!! We were in the wizard room. It was very challenging and artfully decorated! We cant wait to try another room!!

An excellent time! I’m glad we gave this a shot! I’ve done many escape rooms before, and the Harry Potter themed one was the best I’ve ever seen! absolutely amazing!! Without spoiling anything, the room was difficult, but good for teenagers and up. Each of he pieces are well-made/well-carved, and fantastic quality. The room was Creative, great for double dates and other outings. 10/10, would do again! Also- don’t be afraid to ask for hints of something is taking you longer than 10 minutes.

So much fun! We went as a family and had a great time. Thank goodness for the teenagers or we would have never gotten out. Really fun activity to do with a group of friends or as a family.

My family and I went back and enjoyed the Harry Potter escape room. The escape room was family friendly and had us all engaged. The owners of the escape room are just as amazing making sure each visit is worth it.

I stopped in today from outta town, Phoenix Az. Traveling by myself has made it particularly difficult to find a room to do in Utah. The customer service at A Great Escape was the best of the 10 rooms from Provo to SLC. I was put in a group for their Academy of witchcraft and wizardry room. I’ve done well over a 100 rooms and A great escape was a breath of fresh air. The immersion was amazing! The puzzles were well thought out and logical. It had a nice surprise as well. It’s always hard to review an escape room with out giving away any details, but I can say I highly recommend this room and business. I can’t wait to come back to Utah and try their other offerings!

Extremely satisfied with this unique experience. I had never done an escape room before, so I have nothing to compare it to, but this exceeded expectations. Also, I would have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for those pesky kids!

Pretty sweet escape room! I hadnt done one for a while, but I thought this one was well thought out and challenging. I thought it was funny they gave you hints. I went with a large group and there is honestly a place for all learning and teaching types. Great for team building and strengthening.

So much fun! I definitely recommend Great Escape and the Malcom Room. This was my first escape room and our family had a blast!! The game master was helpful but the clues still challenged you to try and think through it. My kids said I was “so hyper” lol. It was a thrilling experience! We can’t wait to go back for Harry Potter.

We wanted to go play an escape room on a recent trip to Salt Lake. Because of the amazing reputation of A Great Escape we had to check them out. What a great place! We payed Malcoms Missing Millions as and the kids played The Great Fairy Escape while I watched. Both rooms were very well designed and fun to play! Good job, guys! I hope to make it back to the Salt Lake area in the future and when we do we cant wait to play the other rooms at A Great Escape!

Did the hardest room, as the first time doing an escape room ever, and we made it pretty far. It was challenging, but never was frustrating, or did we ever really get stuck. We had a direction to go the entire time, we just took too long to finish the room. Still had a blast, didnt feel like it took 70 minutes at all.

It was a great experience going to this escape room for the first time! I would say that the difficulty of the puzzles is pretty average but there definitely is a challenge that you need to think very hard. I do recommend this place!
