Very nice loop around a large pond. There are also porta potties and restrooms near the childrens playground and a large dog park. We saw many people and their pets. The trail around the pond is approximately a 5k.

Lots of great paved and non paved trails. The dog park is large and a great place for the pup to exercise. The building is under construction and there is some additional buildings being built. Great playground. I didnt see any water fountains though.

Went here for the dog park. Great park for dogs, no paved sidewalks for humans so wear the right shoes. There is a separate trail behind the large dog area that was very nice. Only issues was that there werent very many trash places so you have to carry the dog poo around until youre ready to leave.

We enjoy coming to the park and having a picnic lunch when we are in Des Moines. It is always very well cap, clean and a lot of space so it is not crowded. In the summertime it would be a fantastic place for both the beach and for water activities.

The trail & parking lot by soccer fields are great for skating!

Great facility! Easy to get to, plenty of parking. Park has other things to do between softball games .

First time going here for softball tournament. Plenty of parking. Kind of one main entrance. Fields go in lowest number field to highest. The complex and property and very noce. Fields are in very good shape. Nice dug outs. Cool park area for the kids to play. Concessions when no covid. Plenty of shady areas and places to sit. Would definitely recommend this place.

Its a great a place to meet up with groups of people. If you find the right spot its very peaceful,fun, and has lots of space

Went in the fall. Would be great in the summer when the kids could swim on the beach.

Although I got alot of sand in my pants while swimming I still had a great time. Very good family location, play ground and lots of picnic tables available.

There is a nice trail around the lake, childrens play area, new boat house, dog park, soccer and baseball fields. My only concern has been the lack of social distancing on the trail.

Its yet another place thats provides rules but fails in enforcement. If this is a dry rehearsal we are doomed as a species.

My dog Zeus loves the dog park. So many dogs to play with! Its well maintained and beautiful there!

Wide open and accessible. From softball fields to hiking, biking, fishing & more.......A great local destination, as well as an attraction for travellers.

Fields are fine, the playground for younger kids is fine BUT the concession stand food is absolutely amazingly delicious. Its nice to have great food while at the ballpark. Formaros Stuffed has great food and a friendly staff. Cant wait for baseball season!

I play co-ed here. Its self-umpired, carpet-ball but theres a paid scorekeeper. That being said, Its somewhat more expensive to play here, but the fields are well-kept and well-lit. They offer concessions.

I love walking in raccoon trail it has cool environment.

Clean and good for a ball game. Not much to say about the patch of land. Benches intact and sturdy. The food served is warm, but the sour cream is sometimes watered down (walking tacos.)

Trail around the lake is beautiful. Great for bird watching in the spring.

Great Softball Park!

Very nice park with nature cabin, trails, water and other amenities.

Fields were nice and well kept. However, pitching mounds for baseball were not the best. Not long enough for the strides of 10 year olds. Restrooms were ok, but most stalls very low on toilet paper. Didnt utilize the concession stand. Only thing Im disappointed in is the signage. My son had a baseball tournament there, and signs say its a softball complex. We werent sure if we were in the right place. I think they should have signage for baseball as well.

The complex is very large with 4 full size fields. It is always packed every weekend and some week nights depending on which sport has reserved the field. The parking lots are always full with players or spectators having fun! They have a childs playground in the middle of the 4 fields so it makes it easier to watch games and kids. It is a family oriented area and open to public!

Great place to get away yet still be in town. Nice views, good place to be able to just sit & think, write, & color or paint. A place where you can pretty much feel safe if by yourself. (Still need to be aware of your surroundings & others around you.)

Fun leagues. Tailgating is not frowned upon. Leagues are ran well and everyone is laid back for the most part.

Beautiful park, the diamonds were very well kept up, people working were always picking up garbage and keeping everything tidy!

Plenty of parking. Fields could use some work. Restrooms needed cleaning ALL 3 days there. Food / beverage prices higher then most fields. Wouldnt go back.

The mosquitoes are terrible . I have never had so many around in my life and I m 62!! You need to spray!!!
