This place is hot as hell! It’s cooler outside than inside. You need to improve your AC! I personally would never rent this place out for an event.

It was a decent venue. You have to pay to park in their lot (cash only), and it is a cash only bar for domestic beers. For the concert I attended, it was standing room only. There was no alternative accessible seating from what I could see.

I have attended a few concerts over the years. The venue is great for concerts and wrestling shows.

Ballroom really needs alot of work and updates while retaining its charm. Great space for the kravitz concert. Parking was great!

This place really needs a clean up. Very much in disrepair - and simple things like torn carpeting. Drinks were a different cash price everytime we ordered and depending on the staff member. Large bill changes came from a dudes pocket behind the bar, which made everything feel a bit sketchy? Like was I really drinking captain Morgan, or the money dudes private stock of cheap spiced rum - poured into the Morgan bottle?

Great big place for party. Just watch your step a few one steps that you may not notice.

Music venue that get decent acts in town. Unless the artist brings their own sound in, thats the only thing that can be the downfall. Usually good vibes!

Went to a concert tonight. 2 hours after start time still no Nelly.They ran out of most alcohol. the place is a safety hazard. Wont be back.

I have come here many of times. Its always so fun to come to such a historical place. However the venue started clean but not one person was cleaning, taking out trash, nothing! They only had one bar open with two people running it. We stood for over an hr to get a drink. Also, they had porta pottys outside they wouldnt let you use. Once inside you cant come back in. The bathrooms were so trashed. They need to hire people to care for the place next time they have a concert.

Venue was nice for a fight night. The surprise parking racket was shady.

Monday 2 am at night they were still blasting as loud as they could. It disturbs a whole neighborhood (all the way to 54 street). Such lack of responsibility and consideration for the community where you are is simply unacceptable. Police has been notified and neighbors are getting everything sorted to bring this topic to court. If you cannot respect the community, you dont have a place on that community.

We went for a trippie redd concert and we stood in the 25 degree weather for over an hour

No ventilation whatsoever, no concern for patrons overheating and basically collapsing on the floor. In fact there was only one fan on in the entire building. Bathroom was a safety hazard, completely flooded the entire night. Disappointed to say the least, they had no idea how to manage this event properly and seemed to not care. Sad for what was supposed to be an enjoyable night.

A decent place, we watched a night of kickboxing matches there and definitely had a good time, as most of the amenities are dictated by the event and not the venue it self I can only say that the venue fulfilled its purpose adequately.

20-30 minute wait for over priced and under pour drinks. We had to tell them how to even make a very common drink. Not an impressive venue. Long bathroom lines. No re entry. No smoking at all.

Great place to people watch.I remember the bone thugs concert when a lady hopped on stage and the whole crowed got a full moon.Or the time a lady was super drrunk and could no longer walk and her shoes, she bout broke both ankles.

Came from out of town so have only been once, that being said one of the better venues Ive been to large open dancefloor, several bars so wasnt a absurd line, friendly staff, more than enough places to sit and relax and still watch and listen to the music would love to go back

Horrible service. Too packed. Port-a-pottys only. Clueless bartenders. The event staff refuse to adhere to the posted schedule for events or keep customers posted re the status of events and if behind how things will proceed, change up things last minute, keep you waiting, rude. Artists scheduled dont show up on time either.

Expensive beers and drinks. Potential 4 or 5 star place otherwise.

A great concert venue when it comes to dancing since they have a huge dancing floor. However they dont respect their beverage prices.Their sign clearly states $5 well drinks but will charge you $7. They also charge different prices for the same soda. One bartender will charge $2, another $4, and sometimes youll receive can soda or from the soda gun. No consistency.Lastly when charging for parking. One would expect staff to direct traffic afterwards. Gets a little chaotic. And at least clean your sidewalks next to the curb. Im surprised the city has not enforced this.

Got to love ghetto concert halls. I felt like I could be shot at any moment. It kept me awake and ready for a good time.

Val Air is great for mid level concerts or new local artists. Large space, but pretty outdated. Usually serve drinks but high priced and slim selection. Staff are typically great though.

Artist dont really show up here just a walk through 15 min stop by place Dont buy drinks. Its water down. and smells like piss all the time

The Magic Mike show September 22 was nothing but false advertising. The seasoned dancers were not professional, over priced drinks, and dirty bathroom. I will not be attending any more events at Val’s and I believe everyone who attended should get a full refund.

Ive always loved the bands and shows they have available throughout the year. drinks are typically strong and the atmosphere is awesome.

Past its Glory days, it is doing what it can to build a new standard for itself in the modern day. Drink selection is highly limited as is food.

Cheated customers via alcohol beverages. No alcohol. Rude employees. Val Air has diminished. Parking lot attendants bumrushed female drives.

Its old and it shows. Its quaint, but other than concert venues I dont know if it would be for everyone. I attended a company Christmas party without an open bar and the drinks were quite expensive. That said, its a pretty large space and suitable for gatherings.

Was there for the Michael Jackson Impersonator concert.I think I was more disappointed with the show than I was the ballroom itself,but either way,the ballroom needs to update their chairs for events.They were uncomfortable,too small and too close together.Felt smashed like sardines.Also...we were at a concert,didnt like the fact that we werent allowed to stand. Its whatever. Im fine :)

The vibe is outstanding, the atmosphere amazing, and the venue clean. The Ball Room holds a very special something within. Go see for yourself at their next hosted event.

Went here over 515 weekend. Place was filled with cops. Paid $12 for a vodka cranberry. The place is also pretty lit up. Definitely one of the worst venues Ive been too.

Old place but a lot of fun events

Val air Ballroom...now with the Covid ...they are asking people to wear a mask at the entrance and you are warned, that if you dont wear your mask thought the event...you will be kicked out. You cannot go outside after a certain time and staff is rude.

Run down, poor beer selection, but overall gets the job done. Concerts are usually reasonably priced and they do host some big name bands. Usually plenty of parking and easy to access. Not my first choice of venue though.

Its a solid concert venue; much better than going to Hilton or Wells Fargo Arena or even Seven Flags Event Center if they are back in the concert game again...(?). When Seven Flags nearly ruined a concert for me years ago, Val Air stepped up & it turned out to be a great experience. Dont underestimate the Val Air Ballroom...

Needs some TLC AND more womens restrooms.

The bands were great, BUT it was very very cold. Management did not turn on the heat and BOTH mens bathroom were not working. So, I would dsay whoever is managing is not taking care of the place. Also, it needs a serious renovation.

Best experience it was amazing I got a 2 for 1 with the ticket. I got a peep of a lot of hot girls and a whale watching session all in one great experience will come back.

Great venue for concerts!

This place is starting to show its age but is still a great, fun place to go to. I have several fond memories seeing bands here over the years and have enjoyed other events throughout my lifetime.

Some of the best concerts I have seen, have been at Val Air. Love Every Single time that I am there!

Its great that the producers for the shows are allowed to bring in their own sounds systems now. The charge for water is ridiculous.

Paid for VIP, for the Magic Mike show tonight. When we got there they told us, that we had to pay an extra 10 dollars to sit in the front row, then they made us sit in cramped uncomfortable seats, which were so close together, that you are crammed up next to the people sitting next to you. Not happy at all and will not be coming back for future shows at this venue.

They lie to you about their big name concert for example TI. Paid all that money and did really perform and the VIP was a joke he just walk past the people. They refuse to give money back when they were called out. The drinks sucked and staff are rude liars. They even full hands on frisked my girlfriend an it was a man..he is not supposed to do that. I will never spend money there again

The sound in this place is usually pretty bad. It is a cool old place but needs updates and they need to allow you to go in and out of the venue. I wish they would book better bands from time to time to.

Im very shocked this place is huge and has some great shows, the most poor ownership though ive ever seen the shows are not promoted around town no fliers nothing on the website the last time it was updated was months ago and the concert they are having for rittz on Halloween was not promoted and his name is spelled wrong on the sign i mean come on, i wonder if they are hiring a promoter???
