Turtle Splash Water Park

The Groupon we used was a good deal. The facility was clean and the lifeguards were friendly. Very well organized! Today was crowded with regular patrons plus a summer camp was in attendance as well. We finally left as the crowd was just too plentiful. The slides were fun and the giant turtle bucket was a hoot for kids and adults alike!

Had an amazing time at Turtle Splash; Not too big, but full of fun! We loved that the chlorine was not overwhelming (but checked frequently- I personally saw one of the guys testing the different areas!) The music changed frequently, there was shade to be found - even on a busy day!, and the 10 minute adult swim only was a terrific break for the kiddos.Just a warning.... though most of the lifeguards are fantastic - the guy in the picture was a favorite of our kids, others were not so nice. A saw a girl literally staring off into space as kids went down slides upside down, head first....a guy nodding off by one of the kiddie slides!.... and most upsetting, during station change, while being told that a couple of the kids were not strong swimmers and needed to be greeted at the bottom of the slide for extra support, the newcomer girl (the previous one busted her butt for the kiddos) rolled her eyes and said, not from me..... And then proceeded to let 2 little boys go under and stay there for a bit before fishing them out! So ya know.... watch your kiddos!

We were expecting just a splash pad. But this was a full out water park! I had some Groupons but it seems like the prices at the door are actually cheaper.We went on a Sunday evening, they closed as soon as we got inside due to weather. They would not refund us. They gave us a stamp where we could return that day if it stopped raining and it did not. We literally didn’t make it to a seat. I wasn’t happy about that because i paid admission for 6 ppl. I did however return the following day and we were able to enjoy the park.They have a park an the side as well. You can bring your own food and drinks here.

Been there a few times. My kids ages 6 and 9 love it, and I do too! They just recently opened a great big playground, a must see. Great place for that next birthday party or just a fun day in the sun!

The park was nice. It was just right for smaller kids. The kiddie slides was nice & there were two bigger slides for the older kids. Just be prepared that if there is a thunder storm warning they clear the park (even without a drop of rain or clouds. If the alarm goes off) Theyll let you in when they get the all clear. Inconvenient but neccessary.

Clean place, and attentive lifeguards. Although honestly they can be a bit too strict sometimes. I do however understand why. The water is always clean and I always enjoy my visits. The snack bar holds many options, however none of them healthy. Overall enjoyable place.

Give it 4.5 stars. It is overly overcrowded. Not many slides, if you do get on it, you are waiting in line for a long time. They need to do something about the crowds. Parking spaces are good, there is a park with trails surrounding it. So you can leave the grounds and have a picnic on the grills they offer. Food is overpriced. Decent music stuff is shorthanded though. Rentals on swimming vests, for free. Miniature golfing, playground and a grassy areas for those who couldnt get a lawn chair.

Very, very, very nice splash park! Great for smaller children and middle-schoolers. There is a dry playground also for kids to play. Lots of lawn chairs and even a grassy area to relax. Bring a towel! There are lockers and changing tables for babies. I gave this 4 starts because we waited 30+ min to get food from the cafe. The line was extremely long and only ONE person operating the cash register. You have got to do better! It was a busy, hot 90 degree Saturday and people were waiting 30+ min to order food. BRING YOUR OWN FOOD!

We had a very good time! Staff and lifeguards were very attentive. Not the parks fault, but people need to watch their children closer and be a bit more courteous about hogging chairs. The park did make an announcement asking parents to please free up lounge chairs for people 18 and older, but it didnt do much good. Definitely will return :-)

Love this place. We are non-residents and the price is still reasonable. Extremely clean and the life guards are very attentive. Highly recommend.

This place is great. They monitor everyone and their groupons are amazing. It’s a clean water park, and there is even a playground to take your kids

My kids and I had a great time here. Slides, water playgrounds, jungle climbing area, large pool, and waterfall. Very busy, seating is tough.

My daughter took her kids and I here it was awesome we all had a wonderful time. I looking forward to going back again cant wait.

The lifeguards are turtles. when my child got into the water she turned into a turtle too. on the plus side i dont have to take care of her. what a hoot

We like this park but unfortunately had bad experience today. We were 15 min in the park before it got closed down due to dark clouds. We drove over an hour to get to the turtle splash. I kindly asked for a refund or credits but this park doesnt do that.

Its a fun place to swim with the family on a hot summer day. Enjoy the water slides, the large swimming area or lay back on one of the many chairs and relax in the sun. They also have an area near the entrance away from the pool where you can buy food and eat.

In 2018 we had a blast! I purchased the groupon special once again this summer. We did not have as great of an experience this summer. The bathrooms were filthy and there was not any toilet paper in any of the stalls in the womens restroom. I told 2 different managers as I feel this is a health concern at a waterpark. One manager told me he would get right on it, the other said they had run out and would not be able to refill the dispensers any time soon then she returned to playing on her phone. Not sure if we will come again. We were very disappointed this year.

Perfect for families with younger kids. The 2 year old and the almost-8 both loved it. Fun and safe areas for little ones, and some water park worthy water slides for the older crowd. It was really clean and nice, even near the end of the day, and the staff were great with the kids. We will be back!

The pool and park are amazing and fun. Come early if you want a seat though, because theyre limited.Biggest problem was the concession stand, which was out of quite a bit by 3pm and took FOREVER to even order in a short line. The other issue was they didnt allow puddle jumper floaties in the deep end of the pool... What why?!

The water park is great the only problem is I had to pay 20 dollars for a swim suit because you cant wear shorts and a t-shirt or tank top but when you get to the water a lot of people have on shorts, t-shirts and tank top

Regular price is $12 after a certain time I believe 4:30 its only $6. The park is well worth the twelve however. I believe all age ranges would enjoy this place. They have something for everyone to enjoy. Whether it be lounging or sliding. My entire family enjoyed especially my little girl. I would vouch for Turtle Splash Waterpark anytime. Great place!!!

Had lots of great slides and zero depth entry but water was freezing and my kids wouldnt go in. No refunds or rain checks

I took my 9 and 6 year old boys yesterday evening. THEY HAD A BLAST!! there were plenty of things for both of them to do and there were lots of life guards on duty so i felt very at ease letting them play :) we were only there for a short time, but it wore them out so much that they were both sleeping within 2 minutes of getting in the car to go home :D love love LOVE this place and even though we are not residents and have to drive a bit to get here, we will definitely be returning!

I bought a deal on Groupon for this water park and my kids LOVED it!!!! Will definitely be back. Its great for kids over the age of 3 tons of things for them to do.

Absolutely love this place! Every time I come here I have never been disappointed. The only criticism I have is the food is a little expensive. I love this place and I cant wait to visit this place this summer!

This place is amazing from start to finish. Water park is very clean. The staff is extremely friendly. The lifeguards are very courteous and child friendly. There is so much to do for little kids it was very very comforting. I thought that the concession stand was very fairly priced. A separate birthday area was a very nice touch. It had the feel of major water park in every way. Pricing for childrens parties is very reasonable. We have a 5 year old and 7 year old and I mention this because at some water parks my children are not tall enough... every ride at this water park my children could participate.

Im miserable. Too many people here. No place to sit. 4 hours and counting on the grass in the back of this place being bitten by biting flies, carpenter ants are insane, and 2 ticks that Ive seen so far on me. The ground hurts my whole body sitting here so long. Not leaving my purse and stuff back here to get in the water not that theres any room in the water. Bathroom is a disgusting sloppy mess of wet toilet paper everywhere. Cant bring your own food so youre forced to eat their extremely overpriced junk food. The best option for me was the chicken Caesar salad but nowhere does it say your chicken will be a breaded fried chicken tender. Since I dont carb I have to toss that and the croutons. $9.50 for a pile of romaine, dressing, and a bottle of water.Oh and every so often some teeny bopper comes over the p.a. system gushing something incoherent. No idea what shes saying.Not a comfortable relaxing place to sit by the pool. Definitely not the pool I grew up with. Geared toward kids mainly. Not very grown up friendly in price or accommodations. If youre a kid youll live it because you dont care about prices or comfort.

Im giving a 3 star. I would give 5 on appeal and slide options for whole family. Equipment is great, so much fun. But I give a 0 for everything else. I agree with another reviewer the staff can be rude. Maybe not intentionally however it is the perception coming off of these teenagers. I also agree about the over priced food and this is where I get really upset. Ok so nowadays its hard enough for any family to do anything affordable and I mean even you average middle class family. So example a family of 4 it cost nearly 50 for them to get in then they have to pay for food because even in the very picnic feeling grassy area you are not allowed to bring outside food or drink. This is ridiculous. I was reprimanded for having food bc my 10 month old was having a snack. Are you kidding me, a 10 month old. So great, they team up with groupon and make this water park trip affordable...until you get there and your family gets hungry and you cant afford the food and they have made you bring your own back to the car. It is important to know all before heading there thinking you just found a great affordable way to spend your summer day.

Everything about this park is awesome...Nice clean water...well maintained...very well kept...great value deals on groupon...Sure way to pass 3-4 hours easily. Good Job!

Great place for the kids to have fun

The place is a blast! Unfortunately, I decided to buy 3 goggles and NONE of them worked. I spent $9 to recycle these things. It’s disappointing they would sell defective out of the bag items to begin with.

Turtle Splash is great for toddlers. My 3 year old totally enjoyed himself. Well definitely be back soon!

I had my sons birthday party there today. The park was really nice. It has a variety of water levels. There were also mini versions on the slides for the smaller kids which was awesome. My host for my party was super awesome. She was very conversational and devoted to our needs. Not like other places where you get that vibe that they have other things to do. She sat in with us and kept me informed on not just the restrictions of my package but other options that could benefit us. The pizza was complimented on by many of my guests. My only problem was that it was a birthday party package but we couldnt bring a cake nor did they offer cake. Nothing of the package is birthday package(ish) no balloons, no colored paper products, no table cloths, goodie bags. You have to bring your own decorations, but nothing edible can come into the park. Everything else was great. We had a great time.

Okay look. I used to work here years ago teaching swimming lessons. I now have two kids of my own. One of them is 16 months old and has a pimp blue floaty thingy. So my 9 year old daughter wanted to go to the deep end to practice swimming. So we thought hey why not lets ALL go to the deep end and play as a family. Well apparently as we were minding our own business and one lifeguard but blowing his whistle like it owed him money I looked up to see what got into that guy. Turns out he was blowing it at me. And I was told that life jackets were not allowed in the deep end... To which I replied with what do you mean?. Apparently life jackets are not allowed.I finally asked if I took it off would it be fine. He said yes. So I was holding my 16 month old without a life jacket in 56 water. Well it rubbed me and my wife the wrong way. It doesnt make any sense. If you dont want kids in the deep end totally get it. But no life jackets. Like you are only allowed to wear them where you cant drown. The places you can drown and die you cant wear something to save a life.Best part was about 5 minutes after that another father and his baby came into the deep end. Whistles were blown and we whispered to him the no life jacket policy. Well needless to say he was a 8yr marine rescue diver and had a few words with the 15yr old lifeguard. :) it was awesome.Turtle Splash your rules are dumb. Food is gross but your only saving grace is that there is a lot to do here for the kids.

I think I had more fun here than my kids did. I really love this place.

I was visited on 7/15/17 and found this park management have some issue regarding the clothes so if you are muslim then DONT TRY TO VISIT. Our sisters not wearing swiming suite and also they are not swiming and diving in the water in public area they just come for kids to enjoy them. So my sisters was just standing at the corner and watching kids but she wear full dress as usually muslim women does. so one lady manager came and said u should not standard in the water even at the corner with full suite. and she had lot of arguments and I asked here gave me one single reason why we should not stand at the corner of the pool in the water but she said it is our policy I told her your policy for swiming and our sisters were not swiming.I am considering and discussing with my family to FILE a LAW SUIT against the park management.We are resident of West Chicage since 10 years and we did not visit first time but dont know what happened with this time with management.

This is a great place for the people of West Chicago every time I go here I always see my friends from school is an awesome place!!! The only thing they should add is a diving board.
