Blackburn Park

Beautiful park in a nice quiet area of Webster Groves. Grabbed Fuzzy Taco and went to eat lunch at picnic table. Playground, pavilion, small hiking trail, and soccer field. Good place to bring a dog.

My family loves this park! Very safe for the kiddos. I have been going here for years.

I had never been to this park. I really liked it. Shady. Meandering paths. You would think it was any more rural setting. I was there for tennis and the courts are pretty good. No cracks which is important.

I have very fond memories of Blackburn Park, which span over 5 decades. My family had many picnics there, starting when I was about five years old, I also played baseball there, growing up, and as a young adult, I partied in the park with my friends. When I became a father, I took my boys to Blackburn Park to play when we would come back into town, and now that Im in my 60s, its one of the parks I enjoy with my dog, Lacey.The park has a couple of baseball fields, a nice playground, picnic pavilions and areas, and plenty of open space in which to kick back and enjoy nature.

Lots of picnic areas. Great walking paths. Plenty of out of the way places to sit and relax.

Nice walking paths through the open areas and even one through the woods. The pavilion is great for gatherings. Also theres a baseball field that rarely seems to be used that might be good for practice. The playground is really nice too. Lots of parking.

Great for a good walk, some birdwatching, and especially for tree climbing. Also if you go later in the evening there will be plenty of folks walking their dogs, so if you like to see cute dogs, this place is for you.

We love this park. For one the restroom is near the playground and open ALL YEAR LONG! The playground is safely situated within the park not too near the parking lot.

Really great looking park. Ive only had one visit and theres more there than you think, but my child loved the playground. Noticed a lot of walk ways. Not sure where they lead. Nice people and kids. Very clean. Ill add more after the next visit.

Really cool park. A lot of land to explore and relax, picnic, walk your dog or your kids. Very picturesque places if you are looking for family pictures.

This park has a little bit of everything. Playground, trails, softball/soccer fields, tennis courts, cute gazebos. Very well kept! So pretty even at night.

Used the main pavilion. Handy playground and bathroom. Lights came on at dusk. Note: we shared with another party. Not an issue, just not expecting that.

I go to Blackburn every week due to my job. It is a nice park, but it isnt maintained very often. There is rarely any soap in the ladies bathroom and the water fountain at the playground doesnt work very well. That being said, the playground itself is really nice, it has a lot of different kinds of play equipment and the ground is covered with spongy material that does a great job of breaking falls when kids jump or fall off of things.

I love this park so much. So quiet and in the middle of the busy life. I love how there are so many paths throughout the park. You can bring your hammock and just relax under the trees. I loved seeing little parties held here as well even though I didnt participate. Such a great environment for families and friends to hang out.

This is a great little park. A couple baseball fields, a soccer field, tennis courts, nice kids playground, walking paths and pavilions. Itd be hard to ask for much more from a park this size.

This small park is tucked away in a residential area. During the week the park isnt overly crowded so we found a nice place under a tree for a picnic.They have a nice sized play area that we passed, a bird watching trail area, a nice baseball diamond and lots of gorgeous trees.

Nice playground that is perfect for toddlers. You can even take a jog around the perimeter of the park which is about a mile around.

This is a great community park with tons of space for ballfields as well as a playground for all ages. The bird sanctuary in the back has some fun short trails to let the kids explore on. Great community feel.

We played softball here. The fields are well kept. The umpire was friendly. The playground was conveniently located next to the fields. The park is very well kept and conveniently located to the highway. This would be a nice place for a picnic and play date!

Nice park to walk. It is fairly large and has hills so you get good exercise.

Been coming here since I was a kid. Many happy hours were spent here. The park had gotten a little run down, but not anymore. Great place for picnics, family outings and especially dog walking.

Neighborhood park with lots of great amenities. Ball field, courts, playground, pavilions, and a shady walking path. Would be a nice place for a group event, family picnic or a quiet place to read a book. And just minutes from hwy 44 the location cant be beat!

Greatest park ever. Nice walk ways that are packed and great for strollers. Never over crowded. Clean. Clean restroom. Nice trees. Safe and well light once its dark.

Blackburn is a great park. It does get a lot of dog walking traffic, if that bothers you or your children just be aware. Dogs are always leashed near the playground. There are 2 bathrooms close to the playground. Camp is there throughout the summer so it can get a bit crowded.

The park has several paths and walkways. It also has shelters and a playground. Not too busy either.

I love that the playground is very shaded. It is easy to keep track of kids wherever you are on the playground. The bathrooms are close by as well.

Group of children there this morning as we walked. Probably a church group. They were lovely & polite & were having a great time. Delightful group. Parents, too.

The park may be small, but it is so beautiful. I didnt get to explore it very much, but the pavilion I was at was nice. There isnt that much wildlife, but there are a lot of really pretty, tall trees. I believe there is a playground, but I did not have time to go visit it.

Quiet family atmosphere

A nice area for a gathering, a large pavillion for eating, and well maintained ball field made it a fun day for our church picnic the park!

I didnt like the lay out of the park personally when I visited, other than that it is a very nice place.

Much like the rest of the Webster Groves parks, Blackburn is a real treasure to have in our community and the upkeep is impeccable. It hase a nice size baseball diamond, soccer fields, a childs playground and tons of room to run.

Love Blackburn Park! I have been coming here for years and learned to Mountain Bike on the back section of the park. The park host a great playground, tennis courts, baseball fields, paved and UN paved trail, BBQ pits on at least 7 sites.

Its a park,whatyawant ? Nice ball field, nice restrooms, cool playground, nice pavillions.50 something acres all well kept . AND we see deer at times, like this healthy 4point who posed for pics!

Neat little park. I liked the fence surrounding the play area. Kids loved it and had a great time!

This is a beautiful park with fields, softball fields, and young childrens playground. Youll often see people you know here or meet new people.

This is one of favorite parks! Mostly because I went to school in Webster Groves and have so many memories from my college days - late night walks and picnics in the summer and playing in the snow in the winter.There are baseball fields, tennis courts, a playground, picnic tables and grills, plenty of paths for walking and running and plenty of shade.

The park has done some wonderful remodeling. The paths are interesting and the playground is well spaced.

First the main photo here is someones home not the park. The park is stunning while that homes lawn looks subpar. Bring bug spray as Blackburn has dense foliage. Lots of sports from softball to soccer are played here and watch out for mornings in the summer if you dont like a busy park as camp webegee roams (looking to sign up your kids? Call the parks and recs center - unpaid advertisement from former camper and former Rec employee). Amazing park plenty of room and open fields and junglegyms. Or take a walk on the awesome paved and lighted sidewalks... Did I mention bring the bug spray? ;)

Great party. Not to exiting, but its a great place for dogs and ballgames. Or to have a small event.
