I worked here while I was in high school back in the early 2000s. I recently joined as a member. Richard and the staff has always been friendly and made you feel welcomed. Hell, Richard even let me use his personal cart due to the fact the course has been extremely busy. He is making improvements all over the course as well. The new fencing on 4 looks great! I enjoy spending my time at this course.

It was 108° yesterday but the condition of the course was excellent. Great owner who cares about his product, friendly pro shop. We enjoyed the course so much we played 36 holes in the blistering Texas heat. I am ready to take another West Texas golf trip asap. Thank you Canyon West.

Golf was great starting with cart brought immediately to us. Course great. Dining was great. Loved the restroom! Will visit again soon!

Very attractive course with lots of elevation changes and rolling fairways and large greens. Fairways arent in the best condition but very playable. Greens are in good condition with mild breaks.

Awesome golf course

First time here. I am not an avid golfer but, the facility seemed very good. Some spots were mushy but, otherwise the course was great.

If you played this course during the old ownership, then you really need to come back out and experience the Stuart Family Era. As a golf industry professional with almost 40 years in the business, Ive played on or worked on over 500 courses in my life. Ive played in Asia, Ive played in Scotland, Ive played in Canada, in Hawaii, in Mexico, and all over the United States.This is a really fun golf course, with wonderful facilities and amenities, with extensive reinvestment into the course, with unique character, charm, and beautiful landscape presentations, its one of the most enjoyable overall golf experiences Ive ever had. The staff is friendly, the value is outstanding, and regardless of your score, its a place you will want to revisit for sure. By all means, put Canyon West on your list!

I had a very good time at canyon west golf course, would encourage everyone to go play a round of golf there, prices are very reasonable and the people who run the pro shop are very nice.

Nice layout throughout course. Back 9 is a bit more of a challenge, more water hazards. Good GPS and cart system. Greens could use a bit of work but werent bad. A bit slow for my liking. Course staff was very friendly. It is a bit out of the way but worth the drive.

Awesome course in a semi-private community. Sweet driving range with Texas logo in the middle. Played here twice, not a crazy challenging course, but a fun place that uses the hills and water well. Great conditions and nice water features on the course. The pace was bearable as well, my morning round was 4:30 and evening round was 3:30

Course was in very good shape this time of year...greens were fast but they held on chip shots and ran true. Just keep in the fairway and you can play well. Overall experience was super...will go back.

Its ok but all uphill

We had a t time and there were 4 carts line up at our t time I dont know if this place is a first come first serve kind of place but other than that we had a great time

Second time i played it wind was lax and it turned into an epic afternoon one I will never forget, complete with a hole-in-one on number 8. Only setback was greens were punched so burnt a lot of edges on birdie putts, but thats part of it. Definitely a pretty course good lay out and will make you play it instead of overpowering it.

Fun and pretty course but was a little dry and hard in some areas and wet/soggy in others. Would like to play it again in cooler weather. Staff was friendly enough.

The fairways are pretty bare and the holes are either not changed very often or pulled incorrectly. Love the lay out and really enjoy the course.

Rain has kept course great. Greens a little fast. Will be back outstanding for price from golfnow.

Always accommodating. I live 5 minutes from two golf courses and prefer to drive 45 minutes away to Canyon West. Love the course layout. The new landscape is beautiful and the greens are running great. Fairways were just recently air raided so they will be awesome after some rain. If you like to hit your driver and dont want to worry about hitting some ones house, this is the course for you. Just enough trouble on the course to keep you focused. love it, give Canyon West a try, you will be back.

Has the potential to be a great course. Fairways arent green and to much is roped off. Never saw a cart girl...

The course is in amazing shape!!! Greens and rough are perfect. A few tee boxes and fairways are still recovering from aerations. The staff was awesome. And i shot my best round in 40 years. Thank you Canyon West

Im sure this is a great course [usually], however when I played here this past Saturday, 05/27/2017, there were a few issues we ran into. The main bulk of our frustrations laid within the fact that the greens were in horrific shape. You could not get a ball to roll smoothly for your life, and patches existed across every inch of the surface on every green. Additionally, we had the marshal harassing us through the last 5 holes or so - telling us that we had to pick up the pace because we were behind our time. I understand that we were behind - we were a group of 5 and stopped after hole 9 to grab a drink at the clubhouse on our way to hole 10. Asking us to play faster would be one thing, but the appointed ruler of the land tried at one point to tell us that we needed to skip the next hole or two! IF there was a group coming from behind, catching up to us, this would be somewhat understandable. However, the marshal himself had confirmed that the group behind us was not even at the tee box on the previous hole while we were finishing at the green on our current hole! When asked why we were being berated so much, he responded with well, I received a complaint about speed of play from the course pro here and he told me to have you guys speed up. Coincidentally enough, as the marshal drove away, we noticed a quite younger man wearing a hat, sitting in a golf cart, with no clubs in the back, watching us and only us play. We decided to approach this individual who confirmed he was the pro for the course and proceeded to pose an inquiry as to why we were being told to hurry up and skip holes by the marshal. This pro told us the following: dont worry about the marshal, you guys are playing fine. no one is even near you, so just finish at your own pace and ignore him. So, we moved on, completed our play and were frustrated to say the least.Lastly, do not expect to see any beverage carts around the course. There are none - which is, as stated previously, why we stopped at the clubhouse after the 9th hole to grab a drink and a bite to eat.FYI - This course is either owned or run by someone who also has Chicken Express franchises which is why you will see certain food items from there on the menu and the use of those copyright cups in the bar area.All I can say is that I do not plan to play this course again any time soon and I hope they get their attitudes and course in shape ASAP.

Great layout and fun elevation changes throughout the golf course. Awesome new Yamaha golf carts with GPS. This is very fun course to play!

Nice course, well maintained greens and fairways, but their pricing is a bit steep, especially for their golf carts.

Friendly staff. Course is in fairly good condition. Greens are being invaded by another grass which makes them lumpy. Overall a pleasant day.

Had a tee time in Grand Prairie. Rained out. Chased the radar and headed west, Canyon West that is. It was worth both the gamble and the drive. Great layout, excellent conditions on the fairways and greens, and the view is Texas-sized and awesome. Dont pass on the chance to play here.

Does anyone knowing if you can fish here . Im having a hard time finding good fishing spots in parker county

Always a fun layout with great views. A couple of greens have damage and have been resodded. Fairways are in good shape.
