Saw a great play in a very tiny room. Seated very close to each other. For rows in audience. First two not theatre seating. Hard time seeing around tall person in front of me. Movie theatre very comfortable though.
Saw Arlo Guthrie last week. A wonderful evening, more like a visit with Arlo in his family room than a concert. The sound system was terrific and it is perfect setting for the personal shows that many entertainers are delivering these days. Also, saw Hairspray last year and it too was a great evening. Congratulations to the community for restoring this venue and providing quality entertainment.
The musical Legally Blonde had the worst singers, sent thru the sound system at painful levels!!!!!- the hairdresser was good. The first boyfriend was good. The rest need to retire. Had to leave at intermission because off tune singing was killing my ears. Had to put fingers in ears.
Great theater! Gathering space is a little tight but the facility is beautiful.
Used to be a movie theatre when I was young but that closed and came back as a performing arts theatre...went to see Scott Miller there and had a wonderful time... beautiful venue and Scotts concert was wonderful like always...so go visit theatre and definitely go see Scott if you get a chance...
Clean theatre with lovely productions. It was nice to see they served beer at their concessions. Id recommend seeing a performance here. The only downside was parking wasnt as easy to find during the packed performance and getting out of the building was a little jammed.
Very nice place to go to concert or movie. Beautifully restored theater.
Amazing Performances, Costumes, Lighting and Stage Props! Loved Beauty and the Beast.
It was not a good experience. Play upstairs in small roomVery warm in there and lots of steps to get there. Was not impressed by play
Outstanding small venue. Beautiful facility, well managed, moderate costs, very enjoyable evening. We look forward to many more!
Attended special event featuring art collection of Bruce Frank. It was wonderful and well attended. The theatre is inviting the layout promotes a cozy feel.
Never been disappointed. Every experience is amazing
The Wayne is like stepping back in time, yet with a modern twist. A class act.
Watched Deathtrap and really enjoyed the show and wayne theaters.
Great venue and awesome show. Only complaints I have would be we showed up just as show was starting and lady at entrance was a little short and rude with telling us we would have to wait because they were doing introductions. Another gentleman said we were fine as they hadnt started yet. Having bathrooms on the other side of concessions area creates a mess with people in line at concessions and then having to walk through line to restrooms. Not laid out very well for that. Other than that, the show (Hairspray) was amazing.
A great little theatre with all sorts of arts and weekly movies entry by voluntary donation. From time to time they have some goods acts. You can pick up a brochure that lists upcoming events.
Very quaintEasy parking. Interested in the community needsHas a bar down stairs and balconyNo idea what it cost- no drinks. Feel like family. And they have Beatles coming in JuneTribute lol. Not the buried ones went for movie and panel discussion on suicide and how to remove the stigmas. Absolutely will attend again I hope. And Kevin Hines. If somehow you see this. - you have to give that quilt back. Or have a really special one made for her
Wonderful venue. Community theater at its best.
The local cast that put on Matilda did an amazing job!
Beautifully renovated historic theater. Enjoyed seeing the play Hairspray In a very comfortable theater without a bed seat in the house.
A vibrant, exciting revitalization and renewal of a legendary structure that has brought new life back to a performance venue. A beautiful jewel guided by a wonderful group of people proud to show off their center.
The performance was excellent, the cast poured out their hearts and I had a great time celebrating my birthday with my daughter. The theater staff were friendly and helpful. I cant wait to go back again!
Saw Hair spray featuring Tony Villa. Great performance!!!! Really impressive venue.
First time visit after moving into town almost 5 years ago. Impressive! My Fair Lady characters Prof. Higgins and Ms. Doolittle astoundingly portrayed, actors playing these two roles were magnificent!
Go support the arts. You will love it. Monday classics are great. Childrens educational programs wonderful. Staff friendly. Parking across the street but there is a crossing guard.
We enjoyed a play Madison County Bridge
Beautiful, clean, very nice people work there.. you pay what you want
Great acoustics saw the Eagles Tribute Hotel California
Location, Location, Location!Culture At Its Very Best!
We went to see Sweeny Todd and had a great time! Everything was wonderfully done and the cast was a lot of fun!
Great little theater for a small town
Good family feel....felt right at home when I was there
I have been an audience member and a cast member for a recent production. The venue has a welcoming, community feel! We enjoy taking part in a variety of events there.
Lovely theater. Came for a Trout Fishing in America with Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds concert, and the venue was great. The staff were kind and welcoming. The building was very clean. And the acoustics were very nice. Would come to this theater again for other shows.
For those who havent yet bought tickets for the upcoming Dec. 23rd, 2017, matinee or evening performance of A Carpenters Christmas, and you enjoy the music of The Carpenters, I strongly suggest you book your seats for one of those shows! A few months ago I attended a concert in Sellersville, Pa., by this Carpenters tribute group and was wowed by the talents of everyone onstage. Lead singer Lisa Rock rocks and her back-up singers and musicians are also first-class performers. I can guarantee that their performances at the Wayne Theatre will be memorable and will have you singing Christmas songs, as once sung by The Carpenters, well past the big day. Remember, Dec. 23, 2017, matinee or evening.
Great staff, diverse exciting programs many days of the week.
Nice little theatre, play was very well done
Plenty of community events and a helpful staff
Great time with Garrison K.
Nice theater, comfortable seats and excellent sound man in the booth.
We have attended several events here, and we always have a wonderful time. Former movie theater converted into a performing arts center. (Still shows movies two nights a week, too!)
Delightful evening performance of Doo-Wop quartet. The silent dance after theatre was crazy awesome!
Great venue for music, theater and more. Amazingly wonderful staff. Reasonable prices. Just love this place!
Wonderfully restored theater. Just saw Shrek the Musical and it was so much fun! Dont miss the chance to attend a show or movie here.
Nice place. Too bad they do not support the local arts community.
Nice showing of Bridge over Kawawi...snacks are reasonable price and you donate for the movie. Nice place and movies.!!
The theatre portion is first rate.
Excellent venue for seeing shows. Wish they did they did more performances. I love that you can get drinks and popcorn!!!

Very nice facility.. Play was great !
A gem in the Shenandoah Valley. Incredible offerings year-round.
This place is truly amazing!
I just recently took my teenage kids to Monday Night at the Movies. We watched The Forbidden Planet. It was a blast! This theater is perfect. It feels big enough to attract talent yet cozy like a hometown theater should. Recently renovated, it’s ready for its second act. The seats were comfortable, the sound was good, and the bathrooms were fancy. No complaints. My wife and I moved to Waynesboro about eight years ago to raise our family and we have continually been amazed at the quality of life this small town has to offer. We enjoy the natural beauty, easy access to more than enough shopping, a friendly walkable downtown that has steadily been coming to life, and now a live theater. It’s simply terrific! We’re all so fortunate to live here. No doubt The Wayne Theater will once again become part of the DNA of this beautiful town.Does Waynesboro have an anthem? Golly! I love this place. If it doesn’t I’ll write one.
Baby crying through performance no said anything. Music went from normal to ear splitting. Otherwise beautiful place, very nice ushers, will try it again.
They have done an incredible job with renovations with the theatre. Good kid programs, some good theater going on in Waynesboro. If you never been to the theatre, do yourself a favor, skip going to the movies once and treat yourself.
