Clean well maintained, small park, nice campsites. Great for kids. Small boats allowed nice boat dock across from the campsite s . Snacks, ice and other items available at the park office.
Its the best outdoors you will get in the area. This has been my favorite place to take my kids since they were born and its an absolute treat to come here
Extremely clean and very laid back. If you cant unwind here, then you have extreme problems
Nice playground for children of all ages, boat ramp, places to camp, cabins to rent, great for any large gatherings
Huge park nice and clean.. Not busy during week you have park pretty much to yourself. Weekends its packed so take that in mind.
Nice playground for kids and nice nature trail. Has grills around the campground available for public use. Busy bicycle road, keep a eye out
Beautiful campground situated on a very nice lake. Gravel sites with 30 amp electric, water, picnic table, fire pit. Dump station available. Some sites are close to each other but most are a decent distance apart. Shady sites but a few in direct sun. Clean shower house/restrooms. Laundry available.
Great place. Friendly people. Clean bathrooms
Site number 3 where I camped. It is a pull through and gravel. Has water and electric but no sewer. Some view of the Lake. Close to two bath houses. The one bath house had shower with just curtains but the other one offered a solid door. The park is well maintained and was very enjoyable.
Nice park on a serene lake. They have canoes and fishing and swimming too. A large picnic area for daytime use. Theres a couple of inside air conditioned meeting/dining venues. The smell of pine trees is in the air. Lots of camping spots that can accommodate the largest RVs. Very nice.
A great place to just get away from everything.
Stayed in cabin for the weekend. Beautiful lake. Nice accommodations. Cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed including rocking chairs on screened in back porch with beautiful views.
Great place to fish and grill out. Theres a large playground for the kids and plenty of fish to catch.
Great GA State Park. Campground was kept up and clean, sites were easy to get into, and the lake was awesome. Will definitely be back there to camp.
Great and peaceful place to camp. The campgrounds are very well cared for and everyone was extremely nice and helpful! Definitely will be back!
Had a very good time everything was great good place to go camping and have a good outing.
Good place to visit, huge lake children swimming plenty to do free. Carry a pick nick enjoy the day.
Great campground! And golf course nearby in Great condition
This park is amazing to explore. Lots of trails, fun times on the lake, very clean rest rooms and every staff member, camp host, ranger we came in conact with was very friendly and helpful. The only advice I can give is, if you are camping please chose your site carefully! Some are very cramped and right on top of each other. Not much privacy. We will come back but will be a little more picky with our site.Nothing like waking up to Winnifred Barking every morning
Fantastic park. We stayed in the the Sportsman Cabin #1. To our pleasant surprise, the wildlife overlook & boardwalk over the lake was right out our back door. The cabins kitchen was well stocked. Being one who loves to cook, I was happy to find that there was a sharp knife in the kitchen. Also loved the screened in porch with picnic table, rocking chairs, ceiling fan, and plenty of power outlets. There is an outdoor fireplace with available grill top as well as an outdoor grill and an outdoor picnic table.
We had a great time. Enjoyed every minute
Went in and drove around, got to sit on the dock and people watch, the atmosphere is nice and its a very family oriented park. There was a designated place for swimming that was bordered in bright yellow. People were out jet skiing, boarding and grilling. They views around the lake are stunning. Its a lovely park.
Always very tidy, bathrooms always clean and friendly staff and hosts.
One of our favorite camping parks. Bike & hiking trails are well kept. Lake is great for kayaking. We fished but didnt get a bite. Great sunsets!
Great staff and service. All the hosts are exceptional.
Nice park and a easy hiking trail.
Great campground right by the lake. Another great GA state park
Clean restroom, friendly campground host and park staff. Nice lake, level camp sites and good drainage. WIFI works ... What more could you want?
We stayed due to a hurricane in Florida. It was the sportsman Cabin. Very clean and cozy! The staff was very friendly. Highly recommend! Pet friendly as well!
Great campground. Level sites, clean park, and very peaceful.
We actually attended an outdoor wedding here. Simple, yet elegant. The gazebo was plain, yet tasteful. Add the backdrop of the lake and good friends...well, the day turned out nicely. Would definitely recommend this park as they have inside and outside commendations.
Great place for the kids and family.
Best place around to spend family time.
Definitely made it to the top of our list! Gorgeous park to camp, bike, hike, water sports or just plain relax. We had a great time and will be going back for sure!
Beautiful trails, lake with canoe/kayak rentals, and a playground. We did not go out on the lake, but enjoyed a hike and letting our kids play at the playground. Very affordable parking fee ($5 when we visited).
Was very relaxing, not too crowded. Had a very nice day.
Loved this great park, very clean and beautiful, the staff is awesome, very friendly, the park itself is a beautiful place to stay .
Some of the nicest cabins I have ever stayed in around the area
Love this quiet state park!
Helpful staff. Camp staff unlocked the Interpretive center for us on Thursday and gave us a brief tour. Campsites and facilities were very clean and all were in working order. Will visit again.
Nice park. We stayed in the group premative camp site lots of room for everyone. Nice gift shop. The nature trail was fun and had placard with info about local wildlife.
Small park but really great place to visit. Beautiful lake with a swim area, picnic and playground.
Nice campground. Only complaint no 50 amp and no sewer hook ups
Wonderful park!
I really love this place its amazing
Loved the camp hosts! Beautiful park! Reserved again.
Nice little camp ground. We really enjoyed our stay. Very well taken care of.Update were back April 2017 played some golf at the lakes.
Great place to camp a few days. I was a lifeguard at the lake in 1953, 54.
Georgia State Park camping, cottages, fishing, hiking, & golf on the 18-hole championship, The Lakes course. Great park for the whole family.
Fun little night camping pit stop. Not very scenic but it was still nice.
Love this park clean restroom, camp site quite.
Great park for hiking, walking, biking, camping, boating, fishing, and other outdoor fun that ends with ing!
Very nice campground very friendly
The park is beautiful friendly staff very clean
Love the pond! We walked around to the pond and got some really pretty pictures. They have a little dog park too!
Great place for the family, theres something there to enjoy for anyone
Small lake but nice. Plenty of activities boat rental kayak rental and much more. Diverse camp grounds from RV camping to primitive camp grounds. Also one of the more cleaner state parks Ive been too. All in all a very nice place for the family to relax pets aloud as well
Great place for the whole family. There is fishing hicking, boating, camping or if you just want to grill some food by a lake ...
This campground is great for all ages
Very well kept park with great views of the lake. Nice open areas to enjoy the sun. If you are rvingwith dogs they have a large fenced area for free roaming and playing. This is a real bonus for the dogs and usOther State Parks should have these as so many people travel with their pets.
It was really nice and the cabins are fairly nice as well its a nice peaceful place unless you go swimming then you may become gator bait just have youre friends close by so they can at least recover your mauled body. Like I said really nice and peaceful!
Laura S. Walker is a nice campground with a lake decent sized lake for boating. You are only supposed to swim in the designated areas. We all loved this campground and even my grandparents loved it. They only have a few lakeside spots, though you can see the lake from most sites. Pets are allowed which obviously is a huge plus! Only wished they had a few more trees by the lake as well as some more lakeside sites- definitely room for at least one or two more. More full hook up sites would be nice also. Other than that the place is nice.
Nice, level sites!
What an amazing place! Very clean, quiet and beautifully kept. The workers are always smiling and friendly! The lake is gorgeous and theres plenty of trees over the camping areas.
Clean.Quiet. Although they said there was Internet, there wasnt. Great trails. Shopping close by.
Great staff and host. Wonderful setting. Looking forward coming back next year.
Awesome. Well kept beautiful park with tons to do.
Beautiful park. About a 4 mile walk around the lake thats relaxing.
The lake is big enough to ski, tube and wakeboard on. Some days its crowded. There is a nice nature trail and big play area for children. The dog park is typically desolate.
People are lovely, bathrooms are clean life is good!
Beautiful park. Nicest people. Lots of activities. Plenty of space to ride bikes. RV slots have plenty of space and shade. Like most state parks there is no sewage but a dump station. Bathhouse are placed exactly where they are needed. There is a set of swings inside the camping circle but a larger/nicer play area at tge front of the park. Wish we werent scared off by the alligator signs because we did want to go swimming. A lot of other people did but to each his own. The dog area is separated into large and small dogs with toys included.
If today was the first annual food truck and craft event, I look forward to next year.
Love the course layout with some fun short par4s with dogleg both ways. Always in good condition for great price.
Lake, cabins to rent great get away
I love going to Laura S. Walker State Park...the people there are friendly and the place is kid friendly! Love taking the kids to play! Summer, Winter, Fall and Spring!
Staff is wonderful. Very accommodating, personable. Stayed in a cabin, well, called a cabin but actually a small house. Fully furnished and appointed, satellite TV, large screened in porch. Excellent vacation!
Beautiful place to visit and have parties!!
The spillway is about all the luck Ive had from fishing out here. Ive randomly caught two panfish bank fishing and never caught anything from a boat after weeks of cycling tactics and tackle throughout each trip. The lake is beautiful but if you are looking for good fishing I wouldnt recommend it. Maybe its just me. In the spillway, I always seem to catch a decent sized mudfish after two or three casts and then nothing for a bit. Oddly enough the mudfish jump on smaller crappie sized crankbaits. The panfish always seem to go for some type of spinning setup but the bite can be rough. If you want to cast and relax and enjoy scenery, its great
Was absolutley beautiful and my grandbabies love it...we had such a good time for a family outing...we will go back for Christmas next year...
It was wonderful. Perfect for children. The egg hunt was just the best. My grandchildren. Some of them had been to 3 yrs egg hunt. Some first time but they loved it. The play ground is just what all kids love. They sleep on ride home.5 hearts from my family
One of my favorite campgrounds. Absolutely beautiful.
This State Park is always clean and well maintained. Its a great way to spend the day.
This is a wonderful place to stay the weekend and its beautiful here. Its has a beautiful lake.
Spent Christmas here with family. We had a great time. We enjoyed the light show and train ride at the Okefenokee Swamp Park, where we also tried the fried alligator tail. Unique, fun experience.
BEAUTIFUL campground situated on a lovely lake! The rangers are SO friendly and caring! Love, love, LOVE this place!
Absolutely beautiful place and the staff are very friendly .
Beautiful campground, very well cared for. Areas were raked, no trash in sight. Nice hot showers. It was very peaceful, quiet and relaxing..
It is local hometown place we have been going to for years. Great places for kids. And family
Had a wonderful day celebrating Family Reunion in #3 Group Shelter. Perfect place for our gathering.
I love visiting with my husband and dog. Very family and dog friendly
Beautiful park but its littered with cigarette butts- at the designated swimming spots, parking lot and even at the playground. If smoking cant be prohibited, extra effort to ensure these cigarettes butts are removed from nature must be made.If smoking IS prohibited, extra efforts to enforce this rule could eliminate this issue...Cigarette butts just dont belong in nature.
Love this park..
Parks rv sites are really nice, like new n nicely spaced. Park is pretty with plenty of green spaces, trees, playground n exercise equipment. Whole park like new. Decent showers n bathrooms. People friendly. Very enjoyable experience.
Absolutely beautiful lake! Nice play ground, and picnic area. Cant wait 2 go back
Clean, Quiet, and Comfortable! My family and I rented a cabin for the weekend. Husband and son in laws played golf while ladies relaxed. The cabin was very nice! All the comforts (and necessities ) of home. (Recommendations: Small washer/dryer combo would be a nice addition). Overall it was a very pleasant and affordable mini vacation!
Make sure yall try the paddle boats. Its 15 dollars for 1 hour. Which may not seem long but trust me 45 mins into the paddling part & youre ready to go back to the dock.
