Last time I was here, The Wilmette Wolves collected hardware. 3rd Grade Level B, Runners-Up in the North Suburban Basketball League.

We have a family membership here. Its not too pricey but we do get taxed an extra $10 fee because we arent residents of Waukegan. But the facilities are well worth the monthly fee (when we go lol). Since most things are closed or very limited for the summer I was extra excited when the Aquatic Center opened. They are equipped with 3 pools: a kiddy pool for the toddlers, a lap pool, and a therapy pool. The therapy is my jam. This is my main reason for the membership. The pool is around 91 degrees I believe. Just know, its warmer than the lap pool. I water jog in the therapy pool 2 to 3 times a week when its adult swim only. I love that we adults get designated time to not have to worry about the kids jumping and splashing in the pool. Call ahead for specified therapy pool times. They also offer group and individual swimming lessons. My daughter took one group class and then 2 private lessons. Shes more comfortable and knows the basis of swimming.They also have an outdoor track area. And indoor track loop, exercise area, wall climbing and an open gym. Some parts are still closed such as the sauna and towel use and public library. They have parents night out on the first or second Friday of every month. Call ahead, the staff at the front are young but capable and friendly. They do check your temp upon entry and you cant enter without a face mask.

Its a nice park. Some people are nice and friendly, others rudely stare. Well kept, except the bathrooms but thats common in the area I guess.... I recommend wearing your masks and having hand sanitizer or sanitizer wipes.

Great lifting equipment, 6 basketball courts, great staff. They do a great job of keeping everything clean.

The pictures are not accurate, they are of the Field house! I am a member of this workout facility. The park itself has an area to walk or jog through many tall trees. It is beautiful all year long. There is ample parking. It seems to be safe because it is located next to the field house parking lot which has lighting in lot. There is no playground also no basketball hoops. The path is used for walking or jogging and is pet friendly!

Friendly Holiday pick up basketball games were a lot of fun! Nice well kept facilities that are staffed and supervised by helpful staff and community officer. Climbing wall was closed.

Great running trail. There is a small playground for kids. Also, theres a space for people looking to have an outdoor party. I was just there for the run, 3 laps a mile, 2 is a kilometer. Id recommend for anyone who likes to run outdoor whether theyre a novice or marathon runner. Its also located right next to a gym. So, if you prefer indoor workouts you can just head inside and get a membership.

Because it is full of nature, full of life. I love the outdoors.

They have a very nice locker room for the ladies the pool area was great my grandchildren were learning how to swim which is I think every child should know how to swim they were very patient with them and I thought the pool was very clean the whole area was very clean

Very spacious a lot going on here. I wish I could have checked it out more. I saw my first time when I pick up my son from a birthday party. The kids played dodgeball I guess it was a lot of fun!

A filthy park. Trash everywhere, used needles and bum camps.Watch what little ones find in the playground, or just stay away all together.The field house doesnt help. The high trafic building gives homeless plenty of places too hide in and around it out of the elements, and plenty of people to ask for change.I cant imagine what the city has to go through to clean up for the few events they host here.

Oh my Lord my daddy and my mommy went this place and my mommy and daddy exercised a lot and my daddy and my mommy took me and my sisters in this place & were so excited to exercise and play basketball and go to swimming pool & we had a lot of fun in this place

I’ve only gone to play basketball and it’s pretty fun it’s a nice gym and they actually have a pick up game system when the body traffic gets heavy

Great Place Cool Atmosphere

I attended a meeting at the field house. Great location, and the room appears to be sound proof. However, they could open up some space at exit. When leaving, it was crowded as a group of individuals were checking to use the facility and it was tight trying to get through.

It is a very nice facility. They keep it up well, the staff is friendly and I can get in and out quickly.

The main pool is a little cold but the therapy pool is nice to relax in

Because I enjoy Appreciation Day from Independence Center they held there.

Been working out here for years. Good staff and facility, but very crowded after 5.

Well it took some getting use to coming from another facility. There are various amenities available to assists in personal interests. Sauna, steam room, full lap and therapy pool. There are many regulars which provide some sense of motivation to return. If youre serious about your well being then you must resrarch how all the amenities can help toward your fitness goals. Some machines are new others needing adjustments, however theres a variety of equipment to choose from.

Decent playground for kids to play in, nice location for running, jogging or walking. Benches and covered area with tables and seating also available. Nice place for a picnic or outdoor party.

Pool was recently added and is at a competitive length, but isnt impressive as it only goes 7 ft deep. However they do offer a plentitude of services and workouts for less than what you may have to pay at a franchise gym.

This place is good for running. The childrens park is kind of small. Park has a ptetty good size shelter spot for gatherings, parties, etc. Enough parking space.

I love quiet mornings in the park. The parks walking/jogging path is clearly marked. 2 laps for 1 kilometer and 3 laps for one mile. The only thing of concern is a marshy area near the path which some mosquitoes inhabit. Its right next to the Waukegan field house. Much of the park is shaded by tall trees. There is an old pavilion with old public bathrooms. There is a playground for children. Bikes are not allowed on the path, along with skateboards and rollerblades.
