Ill be honest, Im the one person that never grew up on Quonset pizza and never craved it. I crave it now! Friendly environment, excellent pizza and attentive wait staff. Food comes up quick and we enjoyed every minute of it. If its been awhile since youve had it... Try it again!

Wrong night to order the best bombers and pizza in Lake County. I phoned in an order of 7 skinless cheese bombers, one large pizza with cheese, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions. I arrived to pick up, paid $68. and some change, waited for 4 other pick ups. My name was called, took my order went to my sons as I was treating for dinner. I received 4 cheese bomber with the skin in tact. I phoned and they apologized saying to return as they didnt t as keep them other bag. I was very upset, embarrassed and it ruined dinner. My son left the table and drove back to Quonset to retrieve the rest of our dinner. Naturally it was not pleasant. Our family has patronized Quonset 60 Years Or better. Never having an experience such as this. They did send a 6 pack of soda and offered a pizza that someone didnt pick up. I felt that they should have replaced the order in full.Sad, customer service certainly isnt what it used to be.

I love Quonset.. my favorite thin crust. High quality and stands out from the rest. I don’t live locally, however my father does, and we get Quonset together when I visit. I’ve really enjoyed dining in with my family on different occasions- good memories. Really fun old school vibe inside. I got a Long Island that was incredible- props to the bartender. It was definitely from scratch and not a mix. The staff is very friendly and attentive. A Waukegan landmark and somewhere you must stop by if/when you’re in the area.

I ordered a large cheese pizza and it was delivered to my house in about 30 minutes. The guy that took my order over the phone was really nice! The pizza was really good!

I have went to this place since the 70s when I was a boy. There is something to say about a pizza that you cant compare with others. I have had the best and this is up there. I dont think someone should ever say the best in the world but I can understand when you grow up with something that good. I live in the state of NY and before that lived in Minnesota and Chicago does have the best pizza. Also my memories of this place make it in my top ten. BTW the BOMBERS!!! Could never go there without starting with one of those.

I make special trips from Wisconsin to Quonset Hut because it has outstanding pizza and a very wide selection of beverages. The service people are always quick to give you a menu and a beverage. There are television sets in different rooms to entertain you while relaxing if you are not with others. The staff can rearrange tables for small groups and to comply with proper social distancing for the safety of all patrons. There is a very, very long bar which is becoming a signature part of the decor now that the World War II quonset architecture has gracefully past. The remodeling of the inside adds a unique touch to the atmosphere.

I have been going to this place since I have been a kid and never had a problem until yesterday and today I placed orders both days and never got my order and when I called to confront them on what the problem was I got the run around the manager was rude and incompetent and the guy taking orders on the phone was more incompetent than her she said she was having a bad personal day thats not my problem this is business and I am a customer at least I was!!!! Im so disappointed in a place I used to love there is no excuse for the way I was treated they both deserve to be fired and I will never spend another dollar with this so called business I hope no one else gets treated like I did spend your money some where else!!!!!

Good cheese and sausage pizzas, ordered 1 pick up and someone didnt show for theirs and was offered to me for free uuh Yeeeah Ill take it lol whos going to change their mind on this pizza smh missed out man lol Thx Quonset keep up the GREAT WORK.

Just ordered from this place for the first time. Their pizzas are delicious. We ordered the BLT, Sausage Mushroom green pepper, and Chicken spinach and Fetta . They were excellent. Our favorite was the BLT. The phone staff was really great, and our delivery guy was nice as well. Only down side is that the largest size was 14 inches. But you know what they say small things come in small packages ♡

They had stopped taking orders but took ours at the last minute. They made us some good food and Im hooked on this place. Great job!! We can all the way from Indiana.

Great for carry out and even better dining in. The food is consistently good and the staff is fun. Stop in for some good eats and share some great history with the structure. I enjoy sitting at the bar as well.

Best pizza in the world. Been coming here since I was a baby. Things have changed a bit but still excellent. They are very receptive to how you want your pizza which I love. I prefer medium cook and not browned and as long as I say that, thats exactly what I get at least 95% of the time. Toppings are getting slimmer but still great.

Hands down the best pizza PERIOD!! The recent owners have really strived to perfect this staple. They are locals who know how sacred this establishment is to our town and we couldnt have asked for two better people to take the reigns and restore Quonset to its former glory.

Most times the pizza here is outstanding. I always make it a point to visit when Im in the area. However, today was very different. Pizza was horrible with a soggy crust. We couldnt even pick up the pieces; they just stuck to the box.

Delicious pizza 1st time here. Social distancing inside they were on top of it. We definitely will be back. Crust a little burnt on the edges but that doesnt stop us.

I told my friends about this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are tasty and the stuff is generous and cooperative. Whenever we visit this place we have a cheerful time. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Pizza and wings were fine but had an unpleasant experience after my order. I ordered for delivery to a friends house and paid with credit card over the phone.Upon arrival, the driver saw me put my mask on as I approached him. He put his mask on as he said Oh, let me put my mask on in a rather mocking tone.I said something along the lines of You never know to which he replied Im not too worried about it. I am however. I felt that my concerns were disrespected and unaccounted for.I understand wearing facial coverings during a pandemic is questionable to some, but I expect more respect for patrons safety concerns. People are entitled to their own opinion in their daily lives, but these should not be expressed when delivering services to customers.I would also like to encourage anyone who orders online with Quonset to not pay with a credit card via phone (I should know better). Two days after my order, I noticed a charge for a purchase I did not make. The bank confirmed the purchase was made with manual credit card entry. Now, I cannot prove that my card was compromised at this establishment, as these things happen. However, I do find it suspicious as my card was never lost, and the number had not been shared otherwise. Just a tip for other customers.I would expect Quonset to have a better set of guidelines in terms of respect for patrons COVID safety concerns. As to the credit card fraud issue, I cannot say that it was the establishments fault, but would hope the restaurant has a safe way for customers information to remain uncompromised when making phone orders. Again, food is pretty good, but customer service could use some work.

As a business owner for many years, I just feel that theyre doing an awesome job. I ate dinner from here while visiting, and it was great. I look forward to visiting quonset whenI come back to Waukegan. No matter how hard you try to please certain customers, and you can absolutely be professional, but some customers just find anything to complain about. I see more positive feedback than negative for Quonset, so how about stop making fake reviews( competitors) and just enjoy life or eat elsewhere. Its not that serious. You have to be pretty darn bored to post the most pettiest things Ive ever heard of!

Ive been coming here for over 20 years... until now. Ordered a small pizza and was offered a large for a tiny upcharge. I agreed as long as it was pie cut. I get the pizza and its not pie cut (Strike 1). Was offered for it to be remade, declined but was not discounted for the mistake (Strike 2). Opened the box and realized that something is different. As soon as I tried it, I knew what was different. The new owners must have changed the recipe. That is the worst pizza Ive ever eaten from Quonset (Strike 3). But they did me a favor. Now I will never again have a craving for a Quonset pizza. A lost customer, but now it will be easier to avoid pizza as I regain my health from higher quality food. Thank you Quonset!!

Traveling through the old homestead and said to myself Been quite awhile since Ive had a Quonset pizza . Thanks for not disappointing.

Excellent pizza !!!! My first time in restaurant since the covid everyone wore mask and spaced out between tables !!!!back to the pizza yummy as always would have liked it more carmelized but service good !!!

I was so upset with this restaurant today. It took 35 minutes for 2 meatball sandwiches. In addition I ordered a side of Italian sausage. I got home and began eating. Then opened up the Italian sausage. It looked uncooked and was cold. I called the restaurant to complain. Instead of understanding my anger at the situation they tried to say the kitchen was busy and implied I should have realized this sausage was supposed to be like this. They offered me a credit for the cost of the sausage for the inconvenience. It cost $1.89. Wow, really. That’s how you let a customer know they are valued and you regret this situation. Luckily, I can let others know not to get their hopes up for a pleasant experience with this restaurant.

Grew up eating Quonset pizza every Friday. Its truly awesome pizza. Moved out of state and can say honestly I miss it desperately. Always go when back in town.

I am not impressed by this pizza. A few people had told me it is the best. So I just had to check it out. I was very disappointed. The pizza is really salty, especially the sausage and they only carry up to a 14inch. Thats super lame. Its also a bit over priced. I paid over 20 just for a 14 inch. Its just really basic pizza.

Neighborhood gem and decades-long fixture for tavern style pizza. Forget deep dish, a pie for tourists. Quonset is all about thin crust. Comfortable and casual, Quonset is family-friendly, despite being a tavern. This is the pizza I grew up enjoying.

My favorite pizza place. Every time we drive up from Kentucky, we make sure to stop by and pick up a pie!

The pizza is PHENOMENAL. The staff are amazingly nice. All around great place. Nice atmosphere and youre made to feel welcome. Love this place.

Place okay. Staff alright. Pizza decent. Attention to details...not so much. We went there for the first time after years of hearing about how great it is. Sat down and got our drinks, something white floating in one of our drinks. Ordered garlic bread with marinara sauce, got it late with meat sauce. Okay... no biggie, we just didnt have the sauce. Pizza came 1 min later. We ate less then 1/3 of it and found a hair. That was it! 3 strikes, we were out! They did offer to make a new pizza, but we declined. We no longer had the appetite. Paid the bill and left. Needless to say, we will not be going back.

I once ordered a pizza and when I arrived home to eat it I noticed that it was overly salty. I called the restaurant and asked them if it could be replaced and the employee on the phone gave the most inconsiderate and careless response. They explained that the owner cooked the pizza and that because the owner prepared it, that they felt that it I was going to have to accept the pizza as is and that they werent going to correct my order Ive never seen or heard of such an unprofessional, lazy and careless response from any place of business. Its not so much that the pizza being salty was the biggest issue. The biggest issue was the employees poor reply. I once respected this place but now they will not get another penny from me.

The pizza was excellent staff was friendly and had a good personality it took a few minutes to get my order but it was well worth the wait dont know that Ill ever be in this area of Chicago again but if I am I will be eating here when I come

Third time here and its always clean, staff there is wonderful and accommodating. The price is just right for hot and ready pizza. Only downside is they dont deliver but that is okay. Come down and enjoy the scenery of the place.

Good Lord it brought back some Memories of living in one, however the pizza and the interior are a thousand times better lol. Seriously though the thin and crispy sausage was amazing and this will be my new pizza joint for both my wife and me.

Great pizza. My family had been going to this place since the early 70s.

After waiting an hour for a to go order which entailed, 1 large pizza, 12 chicken wings and 1large garden salad. It was to our surprise $52.00 (including 3 beers and 1 cocktail) later when we arrived home the salad was missing. We dont live close but called anyway to inform them that the salad was missing by this time it was closing at 10pm the bartender informed us we could drive back and get it. That was not an option for us. So we ended up having to order a salad from Burger King which is 2 minutes away! Very disappointed as there was at most 6 people including us in the place when we got our food. After a night of going to the gym and anticipating our food it was very upsetting!

My family and I have been loyal customers of Quonset over 2 decades for good reason. The Italian Bomber sandwiches are unlike any other youll find. Every time i have ordered the pizza it is perfect; the sauce is tasty and the toppings are fresh. If youre looking to belly up for a great meal, you cannot go wrong with the Italian bomber sandwich AND pizza of your choice. Thank me later....
