Its cool. Friendly state park rangers, and volunteers. Charlie fo the Castro family told great stories about the history and repair efforts since it was condemned after the earthquake. Now steel reinforced, you can walk through both stories. Last year it was open only once. This year its open one a month. Restoration continues. Thanks to Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks.

It was a great experience. We took the tour, and people were so friendly. We also went to the Cocina ( kitchen) there we pressed corn flour balls into a tortilla then put them on the wood burning stove, dressed it with cheese Mmm delicious. I recommend visiting.

Beautiful piece of History that should be made more public friendly.Private road with disgruntal residents that have an attitude.

Very interesting history of one of the last California two-story adobe homes still in existence. Visited twice with the latter having homemade tortillas in the kitchen. Great experience and all the staff were incredibly friendly. Call ahead for tours before going as of when I went they were still not open on a daily basis.

Such a great connection to a fascinating period of California history! The open houses have something for everyone; fresh tortilla making, tours and talks relating to local culture and history, and and the beautiful gardens and orchard. Can’t wait until it is fully open to the public!

I went for an open house and the tour was very informative. At this time the Adobe us only open once a month and is a work in progress but there are plans to expand hours
