Not given WiFi password, even when asked twice; cob webs on the lamps, yellow shower sweat on the ceiling, tub didn’t drain ...Location was beautiful but definitely didn’t feel it was worth the $$$ charged

The room reeked of sewage, hotel office was closed for the entire length of our 3-night stay, so no one to complain to. Front desk at the restaurant next door gave out the room keys, but couldnt help with any problems. It was so bad, our suitcases and clothes absorbed rhe smell, everything had to be disinfected. This place needs to be reported to the Health department. There was no housekeeping either for the entire weekend, had one person knock on our door to ask if we needed towels one evening, that was it. Told them about the smell, no action. Also, the advertised ironing board was missing from the room, asked about at the restaurant, no action, had to get ready to attend a wedding with no way to iron clothes. We visit the Wasilla area 6 to 8 times a year, have tried many hotels, but we were saving this one for a special occasion. What a disappointment! This is no resort hotel; this is Motel6 with a view (at least at Motel6 theres someone to complain to). I wouldnt house prisoners in this room. You could not pay me to stay here again. Horrible stay, would rather sleep in the car, definitely not worth the money.

Dropped in on a whim, nice bar, the two guys providing the music were GREAT! Good drinks and where else do they offer you a blanket with your Old Fashioned?

I really enjoyed my stay... the room was great, very comfortable and the bed was awesome! I think my room was just renovated so everything still smelled like new! There is not much around to eat so be sure to stop a a grocery store and stock up on some bottles of water and snacks. Of course, you can even buy stuff to cook a little meal! If I return to the area, I will stay here again!

The people here are absolutely fantastic. They are warm friendly and helpful. I will share the reason that I only gave 3 stars for my visit. First of all, they were unprepared for my arrival and after traveling 14 hours I just wanted to get into my Room. When I arrived, There was a sign on the office door to go to the restaurant for checking in. The lights were off in the restaurant. I went back to the office and a very sweet lady helped me and said they should not have placed that sign on the door. I had to wait about 30 minutes because they had to start their computer and then go to the restaurant to make me a Room key.Second, This was my 1st trip to Alaska and I am unsure by their definition of what a resort is. There is a restaurant on site that is open most evenings. The Room was very standard. It was nicely cleaned and maintained but at the end of the day was only very standard.The people were super friendly it was just a very average experience in terms of amenities and furnishings.

CLEAN! Newly renovated in 2017 and you can tell. The rooms are amazing. There are about 8 rooms in a separate building next to the restaurant. Four on the first floor, four on the second floor. ALL have a view of the Wasilla Lake and distant mountain range and a door going out on a back sitting porch. Rooms have mini-kitchen and one of the MOST COMFORTABLE beds my wife and I had during our honeymoon!!! We loved it and would highly recommend to friends/family.Your check-in is at the restaurant. Family owned and operated. Plenty of outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Nearby Target, grocery, and gas.

Great dialogue and hospitality, all while watching fish jump around the lake -- couldnt miss the live music from across the way -- nicely done.

The lunch buffet could use fresher ingredients. Their chowder was delicious. Ill go back for that. It was a bit chilly to sit out on the deck. The wait staff were very gracious & and accommodating with moving customers indoors. Others did not have jackets as well.

The room was nice and comfortable and the view was just as nice. The service was not so good. I felt that is was more a restaurant than a resort. We were locked out of our room after one night when we had a three night stay. Just to add that we spent the night in the rain watching high school football and it was a great game but to come back and not able to get in our room and dry off and get warm was quite frustrating. I dont think I would stay there again.

Fantastic view of the mountains, sits on the lake. Fine dining at its best. Also has Bar with scaled down food menu.

Beautiful venue, delicious food, wide variety of dishes and prices. They have frequent events including live music and creative cocktails.

Very nice location with beautiful lake view from the window, Facilities are all still new and in good conditions. One of my best stay while were in alaska.

Cant wait to get married here in June 2018

Idk if its a public Wi-Fi. But Im guessing so bcuz it is a open(no password required) Wi-Fi....

The overall stay was nice however the noise from people that stay above you is awful. You can hear everything from walking on the floor to talking. I had to call at 1:30am to after hours and ask them to talk to ppl above us to be quiet as I needed to sleep. They should have insulated better for gray noise. Next time I will ask for 2nd floor to avoid being kept up all night!! Could have really used the rest!!!

The atmosphere was exemplary and the customer service was excellent. The staff are very cordial and ensure a welcoming environment for all.Definitely, will return.

Wait staff is amazing.. The views are awesome. There is outside setting on the Wasilla Lake. Dinner reservations are recommended, but lunch time drop ins are always welcome. Dont be afraid to ask for something if not seen in the menu.. Absolutely Love This Place... We come here at least 3-4 times a month.... New Years Eve and fourth of July here were incredible... Youll enjoy your visit.

Had a great stay with my daughter there, we had dinner, enjoyed the wonderfully clean and comfortable room with the most awesome views ever! I would recommend this to anyone, any time of the year.

Its a gorgeous place and the rooms are really nice. The kitchenette has no dishes or utensils, so Im not sure why they even bother having a kitchenette.I also couldnt find a way to set the temperature in the room. There was a fan to use so I opened the door and turned on the fan. It seemed kind of out-of-place for such a nice inn.There was a terrible mixup with my reservation but the staff went out of their way to make it right. I really appreciated it after a very long day of travel.Certainly its worth the money! Go. You wont be sorry.

Awesome service

The resort is incredibly clean, and the staff is very friendly. The food is quite tasty. The rooms are clean, but are a bit on the warm side. Hopefully, theyll work some of the kinks out. Yes, I would stay here again. Yes, I would recommend it to folks looking to relax.

We were there three days our room was not clean any of those days we got towels one day and I find out all very disappointing.

The hotel has a beautiful location. We stayed in a King room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. There was some confusion as to where to check in for the hotel vs. the restaurant and it was a bit of a hike up to the check in desk which was in a different building from the rooms. Better signage would have been helpful. The restaurant was amazing!

I ate dinner at the resort with my Aunt, Uncle, and sister. The service was exceptional, the staff was very caring and attentive, and the nice breeze coming off the water felt wonderful. The food portions were decent but it all tasted great.

Amazing views on deck! Good people! Welcoming! Worth the drive from anchorage for an afternoon outing!

Excellent food, service and ambiance be prepared to be wowed

Good experiences going there ever since Everetts took it over. They put alot of money into revamping every bit of the Mat-Su, and given the fact that this place has changed so many hands in the last few decades, they are definitely the best owners of this Wasillian landmark for the last 20+ years. Personally, I love their Bloody Mary bar and a plate of eggs Benedict for their Sunday brunch.

Stayed here a few times now, in the off season. Clean and modern rooms with a view. Functional kitchen area and very comfortable beds!

The place keeps changing owners over the years the only thing I enjoyed about my most recent visit was the the food and the staff in the the restaurant. The bar area was closed for a comedy show.

It happened to be a sunny evening and my wife and I met for a drink and light snack. There was a band playing that was good entertainment. We sat out on the deck and the service was almost non existence at first. I had to go into the bar to order and get our drinks. We only ordered a salad and pepper fries. The dip for the fries was good, the fries arrived cold and oily. The summer salad was soggy and all wilted like it had been sitting by a stove or something??? I gave 4 stars only because the people sitting across from us had asked about the food and we told them what we thought and she took the fries back in and must have complained to someone and brought us two complimentary drinks. Otherwise it probably would only be 3 stars.

Didnt like the pillows to squishy and they kept sliding down between the headboard and the mattress. Very annoying when trying to sleep. Bed was comfy and room was clean I enjoyed everything but the pillows.

I tried prime rib with my friend they cooked it not professionally. Its too chewy and I couldnt eat it. If you want steak go dinner time ONLY not breakfast time.

Had dinner last night with my wife, sister, brother in law and parents for Mothers Day. It was packed and dinner was great. The service was good and the re model turned out great. My parents even stayed the night out there so they didnt have to drive back to Anchorage,

Attended company holiday party. The venue was small for the amount oid people. It was dark and hard to see. The food was disappointing and slow. The buffet line took over as hour to feed everyone. The staff was pleasant and courteous though.

Beautiful setting and nicely remodeled but the food was over priced and nothing special. Plus the service did not match the prices. Our server messed up our order but when alerted did promptly correct the problem but then did not come back to check on us or bring the check. We had to go find someone to help and then the bill was all messed up. Disappointing experience.

This is for the restuarant.. I ordered a 52 dollar porterhouse steak. I was really thinking it would be something special. Wrong. It was the most un-exciting steak I have ever had. There was a few grill marks in it, other than that it just looked like a cardboard colored piece of meat. Taste? Meh it was okay, I at least think it was fresh. Im not even sure there was salt on it. I really wanted to put steak sauce on it. It came with a little puddle of mashed potatoes and 3 asparagus. Sorry no photo.

The room is nice but the blinds wouldnt close. When we asked to have maintenance take a look i could see the look of bewilderment on the clerks face. She said maintenance would be notified. After we finished dinner we asked if the issue had been fixed and they had no idea of it had. Im guessing that the maintenance crew was off shift and only available for emergencies. We ended up fixing it ourselves. When we were being seated for dinner the staff seemed more interested in gabbing with their friends and seemed confused about who was manning which section of the restaurant. The food was okay but LeeAnn didnt like her seafood pasta and my medium rare steak was medium. For 150 bucks you expect to get what you asked for. Wont be coming back to this place in the future and wouldnt recommend it to any one.

Such friendly, really helpful staff, particularly the manger. Was an last minute booking and was one of the best rooms with fantastic lake view and small terrace.

Went in for brunch.Had a lovely spin on eggs Benedict with smoked salmon instead of Canadian bacon. I inquired if this was the norm and was told its Chefs choice so it could be pork, fish or whatever suits the mood that day.The hollandaise is smooth, velvety and made in house.The coffee is Caladi Brothers.They had a special of mimosas with choices of raspberry sherbet, peach, a mixture of both or norm.There is also a Bloody Mary bar.The service was excellent, friendly.My husband had a burrito with several meats including chorizo.The views were amazing. (First time there during the day)The wrong order was brought to my husband. Our server promptly apologized, whisked it away and came back with the correct order. She also compensated for the error.The place is revamped, fresh, classy, elegant and delicious.Prices are very reasonable for quality of food.Cant wait to go back and try more delicious options.

We didnt even stay for drinks. We were on a special date and the seating in the middle of the restaurant with everyone looking at us, along with the crazy expensive menu, and looking at others around us it wasnt huge portions, we chose not to even stay for water. Im not saying anything was bad, just that it wasnt for us.

Food was okay

Thinking that it would be as great as it was when I was a kid, I came to stay only to find out........ Crappy. food was poorly cooked, rooms need a serious remodel and on top of that if you run out of toilet paper in the middle of the night your screwed because they dont have any one here at night or in the early morning so imagine my surprise when I went to check out at 830 this morning and NO ONE WAS HERE!!!!!!

I have only eaten in the bar side.The food is ok. The service is hit and miss. The bloody Mary bar and weekend lake events make it worth going to.

The food was pretty good, I am sad to downgrade it due to poor quality of service in the restaurant. And it was extremely loud in the dining room, very hard to have a conversation over dinner.
