This pavilion is big and spacious! I love the community feeling from everyone in the surrounding area enjoying themselves at the park. It was a great outdoor experience.

Its great that this free open air roller skating rink exists, but it could use a bit of maintenance, Im sure it will be fixed up nice and pretty once the neighborhood is fully gentrified.

This place really needs maintenance. We went with family on a weekend evening and the childrens play area was a mess. Even the Skating rink and surrounding area was not clean. we took a stroll along the path adjacent to river. But we could smell the dirty water. Cannot imagine how do people do boating there. I would not recommend this place until it gets cleaned.

They floor could use a sweep and one corner floods but its still a decent skating floor. There is not skate friendly path from the trail to the pavilion. Watch the rocks in the parking lot.

Ok so all should know that Im normally anti DC, so that means this carries more weight. During the pandemic I have visited way more than usual but so far no violence no wild encounters and no issues with anything happening to my vehicle. In my book thats amazing.

I came to the skate rink to rent skates and online and when i arrived there was no one here in the rental booth. This is very upsetting because i came here for a birthday party.

This is great place, trails across Anacostia river. Participated in FITDC 5K run held on Jan 1st 2020. On the downside, its not walkable from nearest metro and the shuttle bus and cars had to wait for the run to finish, this could have been improved with better road connectivity.

Anacostia skating rink will forever be one of the best skating rinks!!! I was fortunate to have parents that took me to this park, just about every weekend as a kid. With 28 years of attending, it is still one of my go to roller skating rinks! Good music, fresh air and good fun!!

Very nice and breezy on these hot summer days...even though its outside! Free skate rental with ID. They play the radio so you dont have to worry about the music being too much for the children for the most part. There is plenty of parking. There are restrooms here.

Amazing community day festivities. Face painting, skating, volley ball, hoola hooping and clean facilities. I love this park. My kids do as well. Great job park service!

Beautiful place to go. I discovered it on a walk to look at the water views one day crossing the bridge and ran into the basketball court and skating rink walking down the bike trail. Love it!

Awesome outside skating rink. I have been going here for years. Whenever there is an employee from the park here they sit in the booth and play music over the loud speakers.

The roller rink is great. Would be a 5 star if all who attended the near by picnic and green spaces picked up their trash.

Great park on the Anacostia!. Great field trip with my students! Nature Center next door, basketball courts, and picnic benches.

Ive been skating at the Anacostia Skate park for close to 30 years. Family friendly & free skates. DJ on Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Please support this park, not many places you can take your family or just chill solo, meet good people and have fun :-) at no cost...

Police always come in an aggressive manner once the park closes, they hurry up as if youre not already preparing to leave, but the scenery is beautiful

The park service does a good job of cleaning the area but the locals dump their trash all over.... There are some nice long bike trails surrounded by greenery. The is parking everywhere lots upon lots. There is an out door skating rink which is free. Grilling is also allowed. There is also a small boat ramp but when I was there I didnt see anyone use it.

Not the best skater but Im getting better. Love the fact that its built like a roller skating rink instead of a trick park with ramps. Family fun skating and they give out free rental skates during the summer.

Anacostia is such a beautiful place. It has multiple playgrounds, a pool, plenty of area for picnics, and a skating rink. It is perfect for nature lovers

You can rent skates for free here. You just need an ID to give them until you return the skates. The localas areextremely talented and helpful to skaters who are new but looking to learn.After the park closed the rental space the locals put on some music oftheir ownand kept skating so bonus if you bring your own skates.The bathrooms were really clean for a public park!!!

Been there for once of year or month.

I used to enjoyed going there as a child. But that was the late and early 90s but now it looks so dry... We used to have to fight for a table.
