Whoever hands out fliers for this club just throws them onto sidewalks and behind bushes. They were advertising for an 04/06/18 show later that evening, and just left this pile of garbage in the road when theres a dumpster 20 feet away. Fire whoever you paid to do this job in downtown Silver Spring because they ripped you off.
One of the few clubs on this stretch of the east coast that consistently have artists coming to perform, patiently waiting for them to open back up when its safe...
Im going assume Bliss is History due to the pandemicLawd gesus!!!!! Im saddened!!! This place Rocked
I should have read the reviews 1st before going! Club states they open at 10pm, but they didnt start letting people in until after 11pm. They didnt care that it was cold as hell outside and people were freezing. Once inside, club was practically empty! Drinks were high as hell! Waitresses practically naked. People smoking any and everything. Plies performed at 2:30am after local artists performed. (Most were bad) I will never go there again!!!!
I had a great time at Bliss Nightclub, not sure why so many reviewers are complaining. I went there with a group of friends on a Friday night and the ambiance was electrifying. We had a great time and the staff members were nice and friendly. Not sure the name of the band playing but they were very good, the music was great and the experience also.
LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS It was so hot my sponged curly hair turned into a TWA (tinny winny afro). They wouldnt just scan Eventbrite tickets. They checked in people like we were going to a Temptations concert in Boligee, Alabama in 1969. They held the line for NO REASON! I felt like I was about to pass out. They made me buy asbestos, soul plane tasting Deer Park, food stamp line water for $FIVE DOLLARS!!! The SWV looking woman bartender gave attitude. The restrooms reminded me of NASCAR at the Talladega Superspeedway after hicks drink a keg of beer and form a line to piss in a trough.Security was acting like people excited about the artist were going to pass ebola, prying fingers. See photo. When you act aggressive, people will match and exceed your aggression. Security psychology 101. They missed the class.LAST TIME.
Awesome. I love everything.
TRASH!! AFTER WE BOUGHT OUR TICKETS ONLINE WE THEN AGAIN HAD TO BUY MORE TICKETS BECAUSE OURS DIDNT “SCAN” VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. ME AND MY FRIENDS CAME FROM OUT OF TOWN AND REGRET COMING AND WILL NOT BE BACK!!! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY JAY DA YOUNGN DIDNT EVEN PERFORM 0/10 WOULDNT RECOMMEND!
If youre not from D.C. then this should be one of your stops for night life action! This club is one of if not the best clubs in the city! They have several national recording artist each weekend at their venue which stays packed with a cool crowd! Great atmosphere and plenty of beautiful women everywhere you look. Definitely a good club
If I could give this place a 0, I would. First off, I never write reviews, but I paid to go to this club to see Trina. I get to the club at 10:30 and notice it’s a line. So I go to the front and ask if I paid, why do I have to stand in line. The person in charge said because I could be charging you 50, but you saving money because you paid already. I didn’t pay to stand in line. I paid to have a good time and see someone perform. If the line was actually moving, I would have stayed, but they were literally holding the line. I guess to make it seem like they was popping or something. Save your money and time and just go to The Park, Ozios, Rose bar, any place but this place.
NOT LGBT FRIENDLY!!! I do not recommend this club after the experience i received last night. There was only one bartender to cater to the entire club. I was disappointed on how poorly the DJ transitioned from every song he played. To top it all off at the security check point before entering the club i was mistreated for being transgender. They refused to check me due to my appearance even after i specified i was transgender. The staff did not address the issue as they should’ve due to me being just like any other customer entering their establishment. This showed how little they care about their customers and the LGBT community!!
Where to start. Took 10 minutes to get checked in after reserving a table. We checked in outside in the freezing cold by the way. Next, Jacquees was performing for their New Year’s Eve event, in a room next to where our table was reserved. We left our table for 5 mins to see him, by the time we returned our Hennessy bottle was gone. Management said it was not their responsibility. Completely unacceptable. Reserved tables should be blocked off with ropes, and secured by security. Waste of money, don’t waste your time.
Complete disappointment! For a couple that doesnt frequent the nightclub scene last nights event secured us saving our money on future concerts at this location.Reservation Confirmation states the club opens at 10. We arrive at 10:45 and the club isnt open. We stood in the table line for almost 2 hours. We finally get inside to sit for another 2 hours before backyard band go on stage. They performed for a total of an hour if that. Then the main reason we even went was to see Devin the dude. He arrived around 2 something and performed for maybe 15 minutes. I planned this night to celebrate my husbands birthday with 2 of his favorites and this was a complete let down. Truly, truly disappointed!
Went to see trina and my group already had tickets. When we got to the front we were told we have to pay 20$ due to us getting to the front around a certain time. If we already have tickets why are we paying 20$? They love taking people money, If the line was moving quicker we wouldve gotten in with our own tickets. Im not understanding why the line wasnt moving for a long period of time. Never again! Seems like everybody who was working didnt know what they were doing. Even if we had tickets why are we waiting in a long line? Please dont go here! Save your money
I bought a ticket online and then still had to wait in a line for 20 minutes and then when I got to the front they charged me an ADDITIONAL $20 for not wearing heels because it’s a part of their “dress code”. The artist didn’t even cone on stage until 30 minutes before closing and didn’t even perform live, just danced to his own music. The facilities were nice but I’m definitely not dropping that type of money to go back there ever again.
Me and my friends came to see Megan Thee Stallion perform. We ended up waiting 2-3 hours for her after Backyard Band performed before finding out that she apparently was performing on another stage. All of us were unfamiliar to the venue and figured she would be performing on the same stage as Backyard Band did. We waited through a terrible DJ set and unanswered questions from the men on stage. They insinuated that she was coming out repeatedly and started to bring random women on stage so they can dance. It was awkward and irritating to watch because at this point, we just wanted to see who we paid to see. I originally thought they were stalling until her arrival. It was past closing time when we found out about the other room inside the venue where she was the entire time. I want a full refund. My time, energy and, most importantly, my money was wasted. This venue has a lot of flaws that needs to be fixed.
DO NOT PAY AT THIS CLUB W YOUR CARD!!!!! OR BE SURE TO CHECK UR STATEMENTSYou guys charged my card again 2 days AFTER THE ORIGINAL CHARGE. I contacted you guys and sent screenshots and you said you’d refund me. I sent you my mailing address for a check and still have NOT RECEIVED MY MONEY !!! I have been calling and nobody is willing to update me. ITS BEEN OVER A MONTH. And now y’all deleting my comments too. GIVE ME MY MONEY N STOP MF SCAMMING PEOPLE
I bought 4 express tickets to see Megan thee stallion. We traveled from the bottom of Virginia to attend the event that was fully promoted as her after party. When we got in, no one gave us instructions as to where she was performing. So we ended up waiting 3-4 hours in the wrong room. There were djs and hype men on the stage and they kept insinuating that she was coming. All we got was a band and randoms on the stage. Then, the room she was in became full capacity and they stopped letting people in. This should be concidered false advertising. This club want to seem up scale but they are unprofessional and unorganized. There should of been people inside guiding everyone with tickets. I want my $261 dollars back!
Paid a cover fee even though I had tickets the artist performing that. Also got charged $20 twice to come in with sneakers. Overpriced and overrated.
Club was horrible. The managers (TJ and another African man) were selling drugs and half the club was high. Worst experience of my life, I could hardly breathe. I asked the manager for a refund because I didn’t want to be a part of the illegal transactions and he told me no because the DC police are not going to do anything. I wouldn’t recommend that place to anyone. Stay as far away from Bliss as possible. It’s all trouble!
Very unprofessional. They will try to scam you with tables so dont buy one. I wish there was a option for no stars. They charge more than what they list on the website for a table then after waiting in the long table line. They will try to con you into providing the card made on the reservation. I didnt have the card on me so the girl was gonna make me go all the way back to my car to get it. I asked to pay the full balance with cash and she said yes. I asked if the deposit money will be refunded to my card and she said yes. Of coarse it was never redunded and I had to report it as fraud. Just like this club a FRAUD!
I am from Johnstown,Pa, I drove three hours to attend the K.Michelle Valentines Day Special! And had such an amazing time!! Staff were super friendly! I had VIP Meet and Greet Tickets, staff treated me and my date with the upmost courtesy. It was a nice time also K.Michelle was awesome at the Meet and greet! Thanks for such a great experience!! Will be back real soon!!!!!
Worst club in DC. I purchased my tickets to see Boosie, 1 month in advance. And I was still charged an extra $20 at the door even though I had a ticket. And if I didn’t pay the extra $20 they would not let me inside. This has got to be the most ghetto club I have ever been to. Stay far away unless you want to lose money and have a horrible night.
One of the worst clubs I’ve ever been to. I bought a ticket to see Young Thug and still had to wait in a line. After waiting in the line, I was charged an addition $20 for wearing Jordans. (Although, this information is not on the website. They will argue with you that it is and rush you to make a decision of whether you want to proceed or not.) I’m not from DC and I’ll never be back to this club. Also, do not fall for their lies. It might say that the artist is “live” but they will not perform. They just stand there and look at you.
Came to celebrate my birthday and it was my first time in Bliss. I was skeptical about going after reading the reviews, but we actually had a great time! The bartenders were very friendly, drinks are expensive... so I would drink before arriving. You will leave smelling like smoke, which I wasnt too fond of being a non smoker.. but overall it was a great experience, we had a great time and plan on going back.
Dope venue but takes way to long to check you into your table. Also took so long to bring out bottles we ordered drinks from the bar. If they tighten up on that venue would be better
The best night club I want to go with wonderful friends and sister
No wonder this place has bad reviews. They dont seem to work on addressing some concerns to make things better. Have heard of security issues, parking cars broken into and was cautious about where to park but now getting into the club seemed more like a tough thing. Even without huge crowds, they hold the line so free entry ends and you got to pay.
Don’t do the club scene often, but when I do I have a certain expectation and overall feel of how I want my night to go. I was put in contact with Mary for assistance on making a table reservation. She was absolutely amazing and very professional. The club was packed to capacity which was a little too much for me but Mary went out of her way to make sure me and my party was comfortable and had no issues when arriving. She’s punctual and as soon as we told her “we’re here” she came and had us seated immediately! She even followed up with us the next day which I thought was impressive. Clearly she had experience in customer satisfaction and it shows! I’m new to the city but I know who to hit up now if I want a great night and to wow my guest!
If I could give less than one star, I would. This club should refund everyone who went to the Megan Thee Stallion show because of how purposefully misleading and unorganized they were. After waiting in line and being shuffled into the primary room in the venue, we waited maybe 3.5 hours for Megan to come out while listening to subpar old music and DJ’s asking us if we were ready for Megan yet. Come to find out she was performing in a room off to the side of the venue and had already left. The “security,” and I use security loosely because they did a poor job of checking to see if anyone actually had weapons, had the nerve to tell me that they didn’t know if she had performed because they “don’t know what’s going on inside.” How could someone be hired as a security guard and not know what they are protecting? They are at least supposed to know the chain of events going on during the night to be prepared. Another one told me that she would be coming on at 4 with a gogo band (HOW and WHY would she do that?) and soon after that, another said that the club closed at 4 so that wouldn’t be possible. This is all to say that Bliss DC is a shoddy business with exploitative profit-driven tactics. It seems as though they far oversold the venue by 400+ people and sold tables and VIP in rooms in which Meg wasn’t performing ultimately knowing that she couldn’t possibly perform in all of the spaces it advertised as the concert venue. I want my money back today.
The security holds the general line purposefully as to encourage the express (more money) line. The searches are like lockdown. Shoes off!? Never again. EVER!!!!
We were the first in line, Doors are supposed to open at 10:00, it’s 10:40 and the doors still haven’t opened. SO UNPROFESSIONAL, they claim it’s because they aren’t fully staffed. I purchased tickets for an event and I’m extremely disappointed!! NEVER AGAINNNNNNNNNNN.
STAY FAR AWAY!! The security SLAMMED multiple women to the ground. This staff and manager are RUDE. Do not come to concerts! Even if you have a ticket they will charge you an extra $20 at the door!! Even if you have a ticket they will take paying customers first and make you wait over an hour to get in. This club is only out to take your money and they don’t care about customer service or injuring their customers. The concerts are only 30 minutes long and start at 2:30am. You will have to wait all night for a 30 minute concert. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!!!
This is my favorite DC CLUB!! Always a great time & nice, Fun people! The girls who work the VIP tables are lovely, Security is professional w/out making me feel like America’s Most Wanted. Consistently great DJs (not too much Drake) & dancing, with the opportunity to see great rap & hip hop artists up close! I’ve seen: Migos, Young Dolph, NBA Youngboy, & Tee Grizley perform! Also saw Wheezy at Bliss! Was here for Lil Wayne Bday bash, he did not perform but he WAS HERE! Nothing u can do when an artist isn’t feelin it! And, on a very Rare occasion when a performer (e.g. Tee Grizzley) cancels, Bliss is honest about it! Letting people know as soon as they know! (unlike Echostage where they keep hyping up that the performance is imminent, pushing drinks to get ready, & then at 3am, someone says, “ Lil Baby was there (in that big group,) but was too messed up to perform” SUCH BS!).Back to BLISS ! Just a great time, great music, and very safe environment, both inside & outside (no worries waiting for your UBER after the show!) Love this place!
Only gave it 2 stars because the inside is actually nice but other than that I don’t like it. It’s over crowed, you can barely move in there and the music is not good. They charge you whatever they feel like at the door and be prepared to wait at least a hour before you get in. I’ve been here a few time and each time I didn’t enjoy myself
My group of six was very excited to experience this night on 4/20/19 for my husbands 40th birthday celebration, after spending $250 online which was half of the full amount of $500, I was unable to pay the full balance until arriving to the venue. Once I arrived to the venue I gave them the same card I used to make my deposit as stated, to pay the remainder balance and was told that I had to pay in cash. After walking from the front door to the back of the venue when I first arrived, because vip is in the back even though the front of the venue states the vip is there. I was directed to a atm inside that didn’t work. Because their atm didn’t work my husband had to walk all the way across the street to take out the money. Once inside, my party wanted to purchase a whole bottle and was told they only take cash. The whole process was very inconvenient especially after having to pay $100 extra for gratuity my night should have been enjoyable but it wasn’t. The customer service was lacking service, as our waitress had a attitude the whole nite, it took for my party to alert three different staff members to clean up a spill. I will never in my life spend $600 on inconvenient and bad customer service again, in addition to this being 2019 and they are lacking new millennial enovations. Please do better!
Needs line organization & structure... and secure parking if they are charging a cover. Affordable secure parking if they dont charge a cover (& of course they are). Not every1 wants weed blown in their face while tryin to dance.
If I could have given this club a 0, I would. Bliss, listen to your patrons. Your security and staff are so unprofessional. U would think that with your cover charges that change like the wind and drink prices, service would be extremely better. Maybe, the entire management team need to look up the word BLISS to read what it means and go back to the drawing board. Despite being in a warehouse, the place is beautiful but your staff make customers not want to return. Celebrity guest are great but arriving at 1:50am and u guys close at 3am. Really? U would figure a business wanted customers to return instead of only getting their $$$ once. Regroup team blisssssssss. Folks r going elsewhere.
Free entry and Free Bottles with my Table. Definitely worth the money! New Artists every weekend.
My experience at bliss was horrible. The bartenders are rude as well as the security staff. I ask to to speak to the upper level of management, once the club manager came he didn’t have no sympathy for the situation. He didn’t care. The whole experience was a waste of time and money because it was a celebrity artist that night. The tickets were $50 dollars as well as the $14.00 drinks. I didn’t get refunded for any of it and only stayed at the club for 1 hour. My perspective change about dc clubs I’m officially done with them. Do not waste your time here.
How do you have your security say to your paying customers, you have to get up once the first event is over, as if this is something we should already know? Work on informing your staff about customer service.Your brunch was also completely unorganized, to the point that it felt like an afterthought. My $80 could have been spent better elsewhere.
My friend and I bought tickets to go to a Jacquees concert that said it started at 10PM... the staff held us outside and proceeded to offer upgrades in the express line for $20 more, not opening the doors for us until after 11PM. We wasted an hour in the miserable cold and ultimately gave up on waiting any longer. I would suggest that you work on bettering your management and business tactics. Merry xmas + enjoy your $52 from us as you laugh your way to the bank!
Horrible location, horrible staff, horrible all around. Drinks are overpriced. Bliss is basically a wannabe club made out of a warehouse. Very strange architecture. The timing of events is extremely odd too. Door are supposed to open at 10:00 pm, but good luck getting in before 11:00 pm. The performers are also extremely late. Definitely not worth your buck. This place is anything but bliss.
Wish I could give it a zero. Save yourself the time, money and energy. Its all such a headache, EVERYTHING and its smelly and dingy. Will never set my feet in that place again.
Scam. they tell you its free before 12 but theyll make you stand in line until 12 (the club opens at 10) so you end up paying $20 anyways. I stood in line for 20 mins before I left.. this girl told me she had been there for an hour. crazy. men beware .. they tell you the only thing you cant wear are timbs but you get there and they charge $20 for wearing sneakers. trash.
Decent club but the act should go on before 2am. Waited forever, I just left. Security is cool people if you respect yourself and others.
DONT NOT GO TO THIS CLUB THEY WILL HAVE YOU SPEND MONEY TO COME SEE A ARTIST THEN DONT EVEN TELL YOU WHERE THEY WILL BE PREFORMING AT IN THE CLUB PEOPLE THATS NEW TO THE CLUB DONT KNOW THAT ITS 3 PARTS OF IT ITS OCTOBER 26,2018 @5:08 I paid $75 dollars to see NBA young boy tonight just to stand there and get lead on by the dj and he never comes out even the security guards knew what we was all there for and didn’t say where he will be no announcement or anything TOTAL RIP OFF!!!! Never going here again
Went to see Young Dolph Saturday 11/10/18 it was a lil past 3 and still ain’t see him paid 700 for the vip but I still had a great time either way the staff was great music was live just a lil disappointed I ain’t see my man Young Dolph but I would definitely go back again for sure
First, I will say I don’t like clubs so my review is bias. We waited in line for a fairly long time when it wasn’t at capacity. This was my second time going to bliss. My first was when they first opened and it was a bigger crowd and better experience. Only one side of the club was open my last visit.Girls was bussin it open for a quarter, they literally carried a girl out of the club who I’m assuming was high off the K2. Everyone had on the same clothes from all the boutiques.Everyone was blowing down tree... Dave East was on stage rolling it. I mean I know weed is legal but I didn’t know we could carry on like they do in Amsterdam. Even there it’s only allowed in the coffee shops. My braids smelled like smoke when I left.Dave East finally rapped a couple songs over his song. At like 2:30 am. They really don’t want you to leave and go to another club. I’m not really familiar with him but my homegirl is which is why we were there. I’m 31 but the club life is dry and Bliss not my type. If you are more mature I would pass on this place. The crowd was around my age group but wasn’t my personality type. As an example. The bouncer told an adult female that if she spelled dyslexic he would let her in for free. She couldn’t spell it and revealed she didn’t know what it meant. Nope, I’m not going back.
Cost more than the normal $20 to enter but was a good spot to hangout on a weekend night. Had a dancer in the first area and a bigger second floor. Nice spot to hear hip-hop and R&B and dance.
Cost $70 for my girl and I to enter, just to hear trash music. Worst club experience Ive had. Just go to a strip club youll save money and have a better time.
This place was horrible, not worth the money.
Well Lil Uzi Vert is going to be there so what is the best not to go August 30th or go?
Bliss was a terrible experience. The staff was rude and the music was whack. The cover charge changed from person to person and the Parking price was ridiculous. The headliner never made an appearance and you could barely breath either way form the heavy smoking. I left there smelling like I had just smoked a pound of weed. The music was overly loud to the point that everyone’s ears involved was ringing. Terrible would not recommend.
I would like to know where you got my email address since I didnt give one? I had a nice time but it was to crowded and not enough seating. This was my first time. To many young people for me. Again I dont know where my got my email address.
My daughter wanted to go there for her 18th birthday, but reading the reviews forget it she going somewhere else.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. So long story short: DONT COME HERE. EVER.My whole squad came here a few months ago because Migos was suppose to be performing. The admission was $30 for their concert. This place is right next to echostage.First when we got there, there was a huge line. We waited probably a little more than 30 minutes to get in. It was a 4 step process to get in. First was ID Check, then they pat you down/search you, ticket scan, then they search your shoes. After they patted me down, they pulled me to the side and said that I needed to pay an additional $20 to get in because of my footwear. I was wearing Nike Lunarglides. Apparently there was a dress code and you must wear dress shoes to get in. Nothing about this was said when I bought my ticket. Nothing. They pulled all the guys in my group except for one, to the side and asked for $20. This was ridiculous. Especially since that one friend was the same type of shoes as us but they let him in. Its like there wasnt any actual rule for this. They just wanted to make some extra cash that night. After arguing back and forth with the manager (someone who said he was the manager but not sure if hes telling the truth), he eventually let us in if our whole group paid $20 together instead of separately. We get in and were all surprised by how small the venue was. There were 2 rooms and both were really small. The restrooms system was terrible. There were 4 public restrooms. There was no male/female restroom. Just 4 single public restrooms. This lead to no lines and people just fighting for the first opened restroom. This drinks were pretty expensive as well. But its kind of a given since its in DC for a Migos concert. So my group eventually got settled in around 12am. Migos havent gotten up on stage yet. The dj that was on was pretty lit. We were all dancing and bumping to the music. It was fun. Eventually 1am hit and we were all wondering when Migos would come out. The dj kept hyping them up asking the crowd who wants to see Migos! The dj was getting boring and my group started to get really tired. We went to the back and sat down by the bar waiting for Migos. 2am hit and Migos still didnt come on. Keep in mind that the concerts suppose to end at 3am. We were so tired and eventually left shortly after. Yes we wasted $30 on admission and the guys in my group but one, wasted $20 for our inappropriate shoes.Im still unsure whether or not Migos even came out last night. I just read reviews of this club doing the same thing with other mainstream artists like O.T. Genesis - where they would come out at 2:30 and end 3. This is so wack. This club doesnt care for their customers and is looking at every way possible to scam you of your money.Dont come here. Ever.
The worst ever. Was physically assaulted by a security guard (male) and Im a female. Then was dragged and picked up from behind by a female security guard. All for leaning on the stage because my feet hurt. Told tbe male security guard to please not touch me because he hurt me and I moved back away from the stage but was later hurt by a female. Im looling into pressing charges. Because I was thrown back for nothing! Seriously people just leaning. The club is just too young and toovlong maintenance. Shouldnt have went Im 29 about to be 30 and I regret that night still. Oh yeah and they cause me to loose my phone from grabbing from the back and didnt all ow me to get it. Whatever you do dont go. You can get beat up and no one would care. They threw another woman on the floor.
Me and my sister Vickey went to Bliss this weekend and I must say we had a ball. They have excellent bottle service, a young lady named Mary was our host and she took great care of us . They really make you feel like the Boss that you are . The staff was great . The security was great they make you feel super safe as soon as one leave another one come to guard your VIP area . We had a really good time . I am going to have my Birthday party there . They really do it big for the Birthday guest .
My 18 yr old went last night and the car was broken into. Free parking was a bad choice. PA plates drew attention.
My experience:YOUNG THUG @ BLISS | Saturday October 7thWhy is Bliss Nightclub charging $2 for tap water?----R JohnsonI feel your pain. Same experience. I just wanted to focus on this $2 for tap water. That should give folks an idea how terrible that place is.And it was my first time there.
If it says doors open at ten be prepared to enter at 11:30-12:00. If the cover is $20 be prepared to pay 40... at least. This place is hands-down what ruins the DC clubbing experience.-DC NATIVE
Love this place. It was my first time. Was in DC for the weekend from Ny. I had too much fun
Unprofessional and poorly ran nightclub. On 3/17/18, I purchased a table over the internet as directed by the young lady over the phone. I was told that there was no line for anyone that purchased a table and that my table would accommodate 6 guest. When I arrived, I was forced to wait outside for more than 20 mins in the cold with general admission followed by an extended pat down from security including removing my shoes. The major issue came when I finally reached what was suppose to my table which was basically a small love seat and a table with a few cups. I was pissed that I spent $500.00 plus $100.00 for gratuity to only receive something that was not suitable. After countless back in forth with the manager, I finally was given a section that was somewhat decent never-mind that I spend 45 mins trying get what I paid for. For this to supposedly be premier night spot for DC it falls far from expectations. The bathrooms are dirty, the tables and the sofas are not clean and you can smoke weed and cigarettes throughout the venue. There is nothing upscale about this place and if I could give a negative star, that would be too much. Stay far and clear from this place if your looking for an upscale venue, thats clean with professional staff and security.
So security searched me once doing a pat down, which is cool, a few feet after that I was wanded with a metal dector, still no problem with that, its about safety. But the 3rd time I had to take my boots off and get turned upside down. Now Im 39 and was dressed more appropriate than anyone and like an adult but u would think I was coming in with some thug mentality.
$40 to park..$40 to get in..$10 drink and no dancing music just some rap.Was expecting a Lil r&b and reggae or something. Overpriced and inside isnt even luxurious or anything. First time for everything. Besides Shy Glizzy coming through this place was whack. Had a better turn up in the car there.
This club is VERY unprofessional! Me and my friends booked a table and when we arrive at the club they moved the table we aggreeded upon to a different section without informing us prior. When we spoke to one of the managers he was very disrespectful and nonchalant to our needs. WILL NOT BE RETURNING! They are over priced and have bad service. Don’t waste your money here!
Don’t go there too see a performer ...they will have you waiting outside for 2 hours after u pre purchase your ticket and they charge an extra 20.00 for sneakers ..the staff is rude an unprofessional..if you don’t value your money than go.never again..and they don’t tell you which room the performer in
Wow this is sad I was planning to go here soon with my fam but after reading the reviews I’m having second thoughts. They need to change quick or it seems they are going to lose ppl.
I love to party in D.C but I Would NEVER step foot in here ever again! Bought tickets online for the weekend MoneyBagg Yo was performing prsented my tickets from my phone and was told that they were no longer legit basically tried to get us to pay $80 at the door even though we bought tickets previously it was some older guy who looked like he shouldn’t be at Bliss in the first place and a younger light skin girl with a Jamaican accent who scanned our tickets but she was in cohots with him. Mind you my friends who bought tickets as well who arrived an hour earlier than I were able to get in. I caused and he then pulled my friend and I to the side and said “Miss you and your friend can just pay $20 and I’ll let y’all in” and we did because I was there’s to celebrate my friends Bday but still that wasn’t right for others who had to pay extra money on top of buying their tickets on-line. I did speak with the Club manager the following Monday to make her aware of the situation she was pleasant and apologized, she also mentioned that she would get to the bottom of it. As for the online tickets she told me that I would have to follow up with the people online to be issued a refund, but I never did. I love to party in D.C. but damn sure won’t be back to Bliss instead try other places like Ozios, Rose Bar and Park I’ve had a good time at those places.
Sooo im supposed to be going here to see my fav rapper currensy. After reading all these bad ass reviews im so skeptical. Im not tryna get caught up in a shoot out, pay more than i already paid for my tix, or stay til.2am just for Currensy not to show up...not in the mood! Well see. But they need to get it together. Reviews mean alot!
Came from Baltimore to see Tee grizzly and he wasnt there they didnt even mentioned his name im very disappointed
I appreciate Safety being a concern but too many check points and not enough checking....
Had fun with hubby. We came the day of Trinas show so it was a nice surprise
Rip off for sure been here once car got broken into if u from out of state especially, park in a garage or Valet, they won’t refund what so ever,so save your money for elsewhere and customer service here sucks! Overcrowded as well
Bring extra money each security guards tells you a different price and be prepared to wait for at least an hr or more. I enjoyed myself after a while. However, I wanted to leave at first due to security guards giving me different prices and then over charging me. If it wasnt for my cousins from Canada wanting to check out this place I would have left.
Went to see Nas last Saturday. Doors were supposed to open at 9:30, didnt open until AFTER 10:30. It was 11 degrees outside and they still made us wait outside. A few of the Security guards were VERY rude! Nas was great but as far as Bliss, I will NEVER return there!!
Worst club, trying to be an upscale club. Please note that the artist dont show up until the end. Its $20 extra if you wear sneakers and drinks are over priced. You get no refund when they dont deliver. The worst club in the DMV. Shouldve went to Caribbean night.
The staff sucks, they charged me $50 to get in. The crowd was over capacity, to the point ppl was shoving, fighting and then it got shut down within an hour and a half because somebody was shooting outside the club. HOW U SUPPOSED TO HAVE A GOOD TIME INSIDE A BUILDING AND GET KICKED OUT TO BE IN THE WAY OF A SHOOTING THAT WE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT. SMMFH
Rappers did not appear like the promoter said, drinks are over priced, just a mess!!
The security was on point... yes I was mad but after a full house... I was happy that I was safe
Very nice club but Kevin Gates didnt shoe up
Nice club, from t g e outside I didnt know what to expect but we had a great time
It was cool migos had it lit stamp imperial ent we was lit also
Garbage club. Would not let my dog come here. Wasted $150. Charged me $40 for wearing $200 shoes that were not designer said show started at 10pm yet was told it really started at 2am. What a joke. Guess being white was against the dress code. Would give -5 stars if possible.
Some nights can be a bliss whilst others u just cant wait to get out. 4/20. Wink
Awesome time, great music, mature crowd...2 thumbs up LOL!
Staff was rude. Was my first time there tonight. I brought my own stuff to drink. Security is dumb. If you give them and extra 20 dollars you can bring anything into that club is what I was told. Anyways. the place is horrible, location sucks, from what i saw the drinks were way overpriced, and the patrons in there were looking gangbangers that just needed a place to chill befor te shelter opened its doors.
A $60 snooze fest its boring as hell plus you have to take your shoes off like the gogo. I am yawning just thinking about it. A waste of time and money. Maan I want my $60 back
Went to a reggae concert to see Sizzla and had a great time
Parking can be a tad bit annoying... Good music and good drinks
Just leaving... And one word Wack. Line to wait at 11p and inside empty as sht. Overpriced small a$s drinks. Old heads...Small a$s stagePaid to listen to Method Man beats with him in the room.. No performance at all.End the night better off listening to it on the radio pretending it is more lit than it is.Plain Wack.
Nice building, clean bathrooms, and nice entertainment. Staff very rude and unprofessional. Admission extremely unorganized. Customers are treated like unwanted pests. Very clever in ripping off customers. Overall, it was ok.
I love bliss. They are the best in dc .
Waste of time. If you are over the age of 25 and act like it, you will have a horrible time at this club. Went to see Wale. He showed up at 1:50am. Everyone was 21 or had a fake ID that said 21. Drinks were overpriced even for DC. Weed smoke. Not my scene. At. All.
Went there last weekend to see drake..I purchased express tickets ..they did not honor my express tickets and tried to charge me an additional 100 dollars to skip the line after we already bought our tickets..they asked my husband for 20 dollars for wearing sneakers when sneakers are ALLOWED in the dress code. Once we got in it was packed to capacity i could barely move or breathe for that matter, we only stayed 5 mins and spent 166 dollars I dont even know if drake showed up..worse club experience ever! The staff was very rude and cursing at us as if we dont pay their salary. Will never go again!!!!!!!
The staff are opportunists looking to make extra money. They had the nerve and audacity to want to charge guys for sneakers.....on a hip hop night and Drake was showing up. I dont know what else they were expecting dudes to wear as if it was Bachata night or something. If you didnt mention a dress code dont expect to charge ppl for it. I walked out and didnt even care about the 40 bucks i paid, because Drake had already left anyway. Wack. Never again!
VIP style club with relatively small dance floor. Multiple bars was a plus but the men were rude and people were smoking indoors.
I was so skeptical about going here based on the reviews but Besides one of the rude security guards with the dreadlocks I had a ball we got in quick and the crowd was awesome the staff were friendly at the door and Im not sure about what smoking everyone was talking about but the guards were definitely not having any smoking in the area where we were will I return if im in the dc area yes
I felt like since i was white i was discriminated against because of that environment i will not return i came out for my friends birthday and just trying to have a good time and all that happened is that so many fights were almost started because of my skin color because of that i dont recommend this establishment for a good time i felt like i soent way to much moeny to be treated like this
