Very disappointed with my experience in trying to join the Washington D.C. Freedom Boat Club. I would describe it simply as a bait and switch tactic. When discussing my interest with the clubs salesperson, I was promised an initiation fee at a certain rate. However, upon receiving my paperwork to join, they had increased the rate significantly without any notice to me that the rate would be increasing. They refused to come back to their initial rate, so I declined joining the club. Seems as though the dock staff and overall club experience would have been great, but I unfortunately did not get that far due to the shady sales tactics put on by this clubs location.

I have been a member for three years. I cannot say enough great stuff about the quality of the boats and the excellent staff they have there to care for the boats. The guys even offer to carry your cooler for you to the boat. Thank you Ron and Ray. Hates off to the owners too!
