Martha Spaks gallery at the Wharf evokes a feeling of quiet elegance and sophisticaton, much like the artist herself.I love her art for the same reason and made a decision to to commission her to create a painting for my personal residence.I had an art consultation with her and she listened to what I said I was looking for in regard to content, took measurments of my room and furniture to ensure proper scale, provided suggestions on colors, and ultimately created the custom piece I was looking for and love.My expereince with Martha was A+++ . I highly recommend!
I walked into Marthas Gallery at The Wharf and felt an immediate connection to her and her work. One of her paintings of cyclists on the tow path at Great Falls caught my eye immediately. I had been to that exact spot many times. It was also the first painting my husband noticed. We wanted this in our home, and ended up commissioning Martha to paint another, larger landscape as well. She took fabric and wallpaper samples, framed it to our liking and made it all work! She even brought them both out to our home in Ashburn, VA! Shes lovely and so talented. We highly recommend.
Marthas art AND hospitality were elegant. Gracious in all aspects...the space and the pleasure it was being able to discuss her art with her...all the way down to how she described with relish and happy anticipation the reception she was having for a fellow artist later that day. Not an ounce of pretense. Refreshing; something for everyone.
I saw Marthas art in Pottery Barn so I was so excited to see her newest gallery at The Wharf! My husband and I dropped by on a Sunday and it didnt disappoint. I go back every month to see her new art, the guest artist and her trunk shows (love the jewelry)! So many gorgeous paintings, the gallery is such a beautiful space. A must stop when you are at The Wharf.
Nice space, imo art was a little bland/ uninteresting.
Great Gallery
